I made a new one, similar to the official Freedom one, with less "BRIGHT WHITE FLASH"(I hope);
I challenged myself to take their vision for the new login screen and get the players to accept it. I know besides the brightness the States vs. minion-guy didn't go over well, but I left him anyway(mostly because I don't have a 3drender of Recluse or Tyrant in the same battle pose). The pic is actually the cityofheroes.com background image, all I did was flip it, adjust it's coloring, add the logo, and, for the first time on one of my login screens, add the legal "junk" in the corner 
.
Let me know what you guys think of this one, i'm not sure if i'll be setting it for myself yet or not.

I thought I would ask this here. Is there anyway to get the old character select screens back? I find the new ones ugly. I'm referring to the old blue and black city skyline screen.

I actually realized I have the skyblue, villainred and praetorian gold versions, and trying to replace the current red one with the skyblue was going to be my next project. I'm not sure how it will look though, the costume category buttons, and rotational/previous/next buttons will all be the same(unless those are replaced manually too).

The buttons I don't mind. I just don't like the background. I actually got the old enter world button sound back so that has helped some. It just seems to me like the changes they have made have all been to the generic. I'm not trying to be all "get off my lawn" by trying to change everything back.

Anyone having any luck with this? I've done everything listed on the instructions from renaming the .jpg image to .bmp, to renaming it so it's a .texture, placed the proper folders and yet that white default background is still showing up. 
cool, got it to work, cheers OminousVoice Although i seem to have lost the ncsoft/etc icons, might play with it a bit more...

. I actually just digitally painted it with GIMP (a photoshop clone, but free), full version is here (no it's not ) if you're interested. (edit, can't get it to link to it on DA for some reason, but click my sig if you'd like to see it full size in my gallery)

Had to make a picture of it...as somehow my screenshot option is not working with CoH (alll I get is a black screen or nothing at all... should really try and fix that at some point *nods*)
But here's mine!
I used the amazing art-trade-what turned into a collab Christopher Robin drawing of my character DeeDee aka Darth Delicious (ofcourse)
Also made a Maelstrom one... very simple... (but then again.. I like simple 
)
Just click on it if you wanna download it... it will load the bmp version you can use.
Obviously this is not my art

You know what.. Here's a PNG (and a BMP for people who only use paint and don't have windows 7) of the CoH logo placed in the spot I put it in.
