You don't need to look at other lightning APPs, you need to look at other APPs within the same archetype, and these powers do not follow the Tanker and Scrapper pattern, which is:
    T1: Support/Control
    T1: Support/Control
    T2: Ranged Attack
T2: Unique Power (Could be anything; debuff, control, etc.)
T3: Ranged AoE (cone or targeted AoE)

But you're right, Electric Mastery is taken, so they'd have to have other names. Lightning Mastery and Thunder Mastery sound pretty good.

With all that in mind, the pool has about a 90% chance of being:

    T1) Electric Fence
    T1) Shocking Bolt
    T2) Lightning Bolt
    T3) Ball Lightning

With something unique for a second T2. Probably Voltaic Sentinel.

Because putting together a pool of 5 powers is much, much easier than putting together two whole sets of 9 powers each?

An update on the "won't stay in combat stance" issue: I'm pretty sure this is caused by using Build Up. If I'm not in combat stance, and I use Electric Melee's Build Up, and then start attacking, I get the problem. If I use Build Up when I'm already in combat stance, or if I use Build Up in the neutral stance and then hit Esc or Z a few times (the "unselect target and cancel combat stance" keys) then I don't get the issue and my character will stay in combat stance as expected.

Edit: When this bug strikes, it also seems to increase the occurrence of the bug where a power activates but the animation doesn't play, which leaves you free to run around while the power hits.
  3. But that's not what dropping missions is for.

Also, you could ask for the star.
  4. Summon Gravity Geyser: You summon a gravity geyser from the Shadow Shard oriented in the direction you're facing. This geyser can launch a player a full mile in under 6 seconds over level ground when touched, but only lasts for 10 seconds before it vanishes. Recharge: 5 minutes.

Other, bonus vet rewards you get suggested to you in thanks for clicking on this thread:
    • Sell enhancements at full "appropriate store" price to any store.
    • Permanent Power Analyzer Mk III.
    • Permanent WW/BM Teleporter.
    • Create characters with free extra costume slot.
  5. When using the Bright Invulnerability theme, the body glow for Unyielding in Invulnerability barely gets colored. Even if you choose the most saturated colors on the palette, the color of the glow surrounding the body ends up very washed-out.
  6. My Elec/Elec Scrapper won't stay in combat stance. Very often, ususally when I use Charged Brawl or Jacobs Ladder, my character will execute the attack, then immediately return to the neutral stance. I can't reliably reproduce it, but it happens to me *a lot*.
  7. I don't know what the numbers are, but I do know that they're at 75% strength on a tier 1 pet, 100% strength on a tier 2, and 125% strength on a tier 3.

Yeah, me too. It's oddly compelling.
  9. I've got an Elec/Elec Blaster that'll probably never hit 50, since I tried the build with a planner and found I couldn't take and slot all the powers I want, and even then it'd probably just play like a less-survivable version of my Energy/Energy Blaster, so I thought maybe I'd reroll the character as an Elec/Elec Scrapper. How does that combo perform, anyway?

Also, why is the default color purple and not blue?
  10. And yet you still hunkered down and did it. Many kudos to you and your team!
  11. Don't think that hadn't occurred to me.
  12. Remember? Remember what you said in this post here? I still wanna know!

    New patch today?

Just downloaded and applied a new patch, but I'm not seeing any mention of patch notes on the main website or the forums. Any idea what this patch did?

Something else, though - aside from Martial Arts, all other powersets are hand-based. What would you envision happening for, say, Jump Kick to make it match Stone Melee, for instance?
Put the effects on the feet, of course. Stoners can already grab Jump Kick (and Flurry), this addition wouldn't change the animation looking silly.

Like I said in this post here, I think one of the next thing the devs will work on either way is to make certain animation choices unusable with certain powerset choices.
  15. It just occurred to me I'd find more weird bug screenies if I looked in my TEST screenshot folder.

There was about a week at one point on test where Gauntlet was making ALL the effects of powers happen
to up to 5 enemies, and not just the Taunt effect. Needless to say, many powers became riotously funny,
    Knockout Blow in particular.

Orient yourself just right and hit the right keys and you too can become POWDERED TOAST MAAAAAAAAN!

The updated Sonic Resonance graphics didn't look so great at first if you had shaders turned off.
  16. This isn't that odd a sight today, but it was back in 2005. The bug was basically that if you had a two-handed
"club" style weapon and toggled on Unyielding (or Rooted, I think), you'd do the Council Ascendant "shield
    mode" animation.

This is a bug, but probably not the bug you think it is.

Remember this place? You could get there by getting underneath the map in Peregrine Island then using
/stuck while under the arena. You probably still could get there if you found a way under the map.

There was also this bug that made certain enemies using weapons not available to players through weapon
customization hold their weapons upside-down. Some of them actually looked pretty good:

    And others, not so good:

Finally, I think my Portable Workbench might be the clingy type...

  17. Specifically I'm talking about Air Superiority, Boxing, Kick, Jump Kick, and maybe Flurry. They should be able to use the custom themes from existing melee sets, so they look like they're powers from those sets. They should definitely be able to use the glowing aura from Super Strength and the streaks and starbursts from Martial Arts. Rocks from Stone Armor? Sure! Stuff like electrical or fire effects I wouldn't have a problem with, but of course the effects of the power would stay they same. (As in, they would keep their normal effects, and NOT take on things like Elec's end drain or Fire's DoTs.)
  18. I gotta agree with this suggestion. I did the Kahn TF and I could see what sort of fight the devs were going for with Reichsman, but he just had way too much HP and it took so long to reach the interesting parts of the fight that the whole thing just became boring.

  20. I've been trying to copy a character all day, and the tool keeps listing that character as "available to copy" (as opposed to "copy in progress"), but the character's not showing up on my test server character list.
  21. Hm, can you check if IceBlast_FrostBreath.texture exists in your Powers folder? Beef Cake probably just missed it when he was making the installer.
  22. My computer is currently using the motherboard's onboard sound... uh, system. I assume that using a sound card would naturally take load off of the CPU, but does it actually affect performance in any significant way? Or at all?
  23. I think the Curse of Weariness sticks around, too. The Crey Narcotic definitely does.
  24. Oh, you could say that of any self-rez.
