Quote:It was stated the only thing you don't get from the box, now, is the 2 character slots. Some others have reported successfully applying a GR code to their Premium account and having access to the GR bits when it was Premium.
I'm thinking Snow Globe was one of them, but this late at night I won't trust my memory and I'm being too lazy to search.
Creating Praetorians, the power sets, etc, are all granted to the account permanently. -
I was wondering if anyone else thought this.
Odyssey is cooler though.
Quote:Do not tell anybody, but Prometheus is infact a time traveling robot from the year 2300 who has come to help us defeat the thing that destroyed the world in his future.
He also went back in time and helped to plant Croatoa when it was just a barren dessert. -
Quote:I think you are confusing things. Also it hasn't been said before. You lose Supremacy if you go invisible. If you just stealth it is fine but if they can't see you, aka invisible, they lose it too. With with the stealth IOs becareful not to just put it in something like Super Speed cause if you ever activate it you loose Supremacy that is why I put my stealth IO in something like Sprint.
It is also helpful to edit your attack macro and take out aggressive and make sure follow macro has defensive in it. That way you don't go into aggressive, for the most part you really don't need to be in it.
If being "invisible" was supposed to make Supremacy turn off, any amount of stealth would. Stealth is simply a value.
However, the Concealment power [Invisibility] contains the line "OnlyAffectsSelf" - that cancels Supremacy. -
Specifically, Defensive and either Follow, Stay, or Go To - I think the in-game documentation calls out Follow only, but the intent is you can not be ordering your pets to attack and they must be in defensive mode.

Quote:You should have at least two - 1 for having a account (aka "Free Players" get this one too) and 1 for a month of VIP time.Thank you all for the help. Considering the VIP Starter kit left me with a grand total of 1 reward token, I should hope that it did not count as a retail code. I really hoped that the starter kit would leave me with two. It seems silly that a free account has the same privileges that I do since I spent money into the system. Now there is no difference between my account and a free account (with regards to paragon rewards). Sorry for the complaint, that is not my intention. I'm just trying to decide the best way to go forward.
Everyone here seems to believe that at the very least I should get 1 token from the Going Rogue Complete Collection. That is good enough for me. Thanks again.
If not a 3rd if, as others were thinking, it counts as a retail box. Although the One for the VIP month would have been awarded at the end of the month, not the beginning. -
Quote:I was tired and didn't look it up - but it was later. I had forgotten how big a lapse it was between i6 and i9.Didn't come out until 'later'? There was a *huge* time gap between ED and IOs: 19 months!
Quote:If the Devs knew IOs and their bonuses were coming, they could have made that more clear. And if they knew the implementation was not imminent, they could have ameliorated the pain by implementing a less severe form of ED with promise of full implementation once IOs were introduced.
I'm not saying there weren't a lot of overreacting Nerdrage and Ragequitting at the time; but, there can hardly be any defense of *how* ED was implemented.
And the game was reaching a point - they were needing to either nerf us, or go EQ on the mobs. -
i would definitely recommend the 11.9 over the 11.12
-
You will get one, possibly two, rewards tokens when adding that to your account - depends on if the VIP starter kit counts as a retail code - but I want to sa it dos.

Quote:They did, people were howling too loudly to hear the devs explain. With 20/20 hindsight I can certainly agree that the Devs could have handled the situation better at the time.
ED was a bitter pill to swallow regardless. Even though I can now accept that it was ultimately good for the game in terms of overall balance it wasn't really sold that way to the playerbase. Perhaps if the Devs had better explained what they were trying to accomplish the transition would not have been so traumatic. Lessons learned and water under the bridge I suppose...
Of course, as mentioned, it didn't help that inventions didn't come out until later, but I'm not sure how firm Inventions as we now know them were planned out at the start of CoV Beta.
The only big issues on the dev side was Jack's "No more changes to powers" (technically true; ED only affected the Enhancement system, not a single power - but a vague distinction from the player POV to most) - that with it coming on the heals of GDN & AoE hold nerf - and examples of how to slot as a consequence of the GDN & AoE Hold nerf that went against what they had planned. -
Quote:What could go wrong?Cat masterminds were attempted but found to be unworkable. It wasn't one of Posi's better ideas.
This is from my sources deep, deep, DEEP inside Paragon Studios. -
While CK is definitely up there in power, and base on what we have seen, is definitely in the top three of "Most Powerful Headcase, er Psychic", his ability to control his minions is a) limited to around paragon city, at least currently (PTS is responsible according to lore in game for Rogue Isles Clockworks being animated) b) mostly subconscious. That is why blue side low-level content is always had him kidnapping engineers and such.
-
The big issue was trusting people who signed an NDA to be mature. Well, that and Jack's disconnect from common sense from the players side (I understand what and how he said what he said, but ouch none the less)

A code should be valid as long as it adds something other than subscription time to the account.

Personally I would like a small, electronic device for Sonic powers.
A... screwdriver, perhaps. -
TO mention what is learned in the Faultline arcs -
It's apparent at least pre-Rikti invasion that identities were kept at least somewhat secret. Otherwise Psi-Curse would not of screwed up by the numbers like he did (namely, the fact that in his civilian persona, many people recall him helping out other supers/supergroups)
It's like CCP for guns where I live. You can ask that your name on the register be withheld if a FOIA request comes in (for security/safety reasons) -
It's to try an limit free-spam.
Another forum I browse is 100% free.
A few people started talking about SW:TOR.
We are now (or were, haven't been there for a couple days) "SWTOR POWER LEVELING! GOLD! GOoDS!" spam.
It's a tech forum, not a gaming one. -
Nothing in the pack has been on the store up to now, and you mentioned buying slots, so you apparently have a number of characters - and the pack is an account unlock.
-
It's the same as creating a character with a VIP powerset, or one of the "VIP" ATs.
Lose access and the character is locked, even if the slot is not. -
Well, we still have the calendar and what was not fairly server specific generally also got posted to General Chat anyway.
-
I believe "Lower Praetoria" is still restricted to those who have access o it's content. Even for simple tours.
Also - if you have progress on multiple alignment bars - i.e. Hero and Vigilante - running and compleating a morality mission will clear both.
Also, tips are in ranges of 10 levels - 20-29, 30-39, 40-50 - and are all cleared when you pass to the next bracket.
As noted the fame limit on doing tips only affects Alignment tips. Morality tips, as well as other special tips like holiday event tips, ignore fame and drop as long as their requirements are met. -
If you bought the item called Going Rogue from the in-game store, that is not the praetorian content from the of expansion. It is the alignment system.

It is a small wall portal. Open your map and make sure "lounge" is enabled - the gate will either say Imperial City or Studio 55 (or similar)

1 - The folks that haunt "Gameplay and Technical Issues/Bugs" forum can probably help you more than most of us here in Player Qs - we are morenon-technical help.
2 - What Drivers do you have? Catalyst drivers 11.5-11.8 and 11.10+ don't like city of heroes. At least, last I checked 11.9 was the highest that does like it. -
ATIOs are a mass hallucination.
However, what we know of ATOs is here, but nobody has added any info from the screencaps of the ATOs that have popped up.
