Problems with Posting or Possible Account Activation?

Hey guys,
I was just wondering if there was possibly an account activation of some sort that I must go through in order to post in other topics, so far (other than this one) I cant actually find topics where I can post on, I realise that as a free player you have various restrictions, but surely it shouldnt be this limited? All my posting rules all say "may not", I cant even post suggestions in the Dev. section. Is there a process of account activation that I have missed? Or is it just generally extremely limited as to what you can post in as a free player?

As a free player, you can post in the open access sections of the forums like this one, suggestion sub group, or the City Life sub group. Sorry.

Ok thanks guys, I have submitted a ticket to the support center complaining about this, at the fact free players get very limited use, and he said he would pass my comments on to the development team. He suggested I post in the Dev's corner as most of the changes in the game originate from ideas there. But because I have limited access, that area is locked. Is there another way I could contact a Dev directly?

You could post in the "Suggestions and Ideas" forum, or if you wanted to contact someone directly, I would imagine you could PM one of the community reps (Zwillinger, 7deCoeur, uh... Beastyle?)

Thank you, Champion.

I've stuck a post up in the Suggestions and Ideas forum. Thanks for your help .

EDIT: How would I send a PM?

You are not mistaken.

Free and Premium players cannot send or receive PMs.

If the game spit out 20 dollar bills people would complain that they weren't sequentially numbered. If they were sequentially numbered people would complain that they weren't random enough.

Shockingly, free players don't get a lot of input on how the game is made. Hell, sometimes the devs don't even listen to VIPs.

I'm all face-slapped. I mean, look at these red marks. Well, that's cranberry juice, but still ... face-slapped!!!

It's to try an limit free-spam.

Another forum I browse is 100% free.

A few people started talking about SW:TOR.

We are now (or were, haven't been there for a couple days) "SWTOR POWER LEVELING! GOLD! GOoDS!" spam.

It's a tech forum, not a gaming one.

This, of course. Whether the restrictions are necessary or effective I suppose is open to debate, but please be polite when discussing the issue. The devs didn't do it thoughtlessly or without a plan.

Personally, I think we should continue on a while as things are, then see about opening up more forums if things go well. I think the archetypes forums should be the next set of forums to open up, as new folks and F2P would probably find them the most useful.
