I actually do have a H341z0r story
On a pick up team a while back I was getting grief from one of our Tanks for not healing him fast enough....
I was playing a Storm/Electric Defender.
Yup, apparently, my O2 boost wasn't good enough for him.
If we weren't dealing with an AV at the time, I would have dropped him like a hot rock. As it was, as soon as the mission was finished, so was he. -
Besides, he has access to portal technology. He could (and probably has) found a nice little alternate dimention he can retreat to and set up shop.
Recluse has always seemed to me to be very Luciferian. You know Milton's famous quote
"Tis better to rule in Hell than serve in Heaven" (maybe not right but you know the one I mean) -
Quote:I would hazard a guess at using every option at his disposal up to and including nuclear-class weapons.following the same vein i have a MA arc where the Rikti won the invasion of 04, took over Paragon and now 5 years later are heading for the rogue islands.
How would Recluse react to that scenerio?
If anyone is going to rule the world, it's going to be him. Even if it's a blasted, scarred wasteland. -

I was wondering if it was just me.
I got my head (and GW's) handed to me when I did this one. I had about the same thing happen as you did. GW wiped up the minions and I was doing pretty well on finishing off the Boss then **WHACK** next thing I know I'm eating floor tiles and waiting for GW to clear out the room so I can wake myself up and get moving.
No such luck. GW held up for about 2 minutes then dropped like a stone.
Heartbreaking, since she's my patron.
I like the thought that this might be bugged. It really did seem unusually hard.
Eh, I'll try it again with someone else, maybe I'll have better luck next time. -
I don't know if there's any powerset combos that can give you a Corruptor "Blapper" but I do have a favorite you might want to look into.
Sonic/Dark
Sonic not only gives you solid attacks but you get some crowd control in the form of Sirens Song (Sleep) and Screech (single target disorient)
Dark gives you the usual toolkit of Tarpatch, Darkest Night (debuff), Fearsome Stare (Fear!), Petrifying Gaze (single target hold), and Black hole (AOE intangible)...
...oh yeah, you also get Dark servant, Howling Twilight , and Twilight Grasp.
I think that will give you something for just about every situation you might find yourself in. -
Now this whole thread sounds familiar.
My wife politely ignored my city habit for two years. She put up with my trying to explain the game, the war stories, and the odd manaical laughter at inexplicable moments.
Then she started looking at the character creator...
Next thing you know, we have two accounts. -

Quote:It might be related the their looping progress bar. Since phone numbers are handed out based on your progression with a contact and your progress with a Detective/Broker is reset when you complete a safeguard/mayhem, it could be that you would immediately lose the ability to call him/her and have to go talk to him/her again after 1-2 paper missions.
I'll second this. It may not be the right answer but it sounds pretty reasonable. -

I'll add in my 41 years. But I know for a fact there are older players out there.

I just saw this same thing. it said I was "delrune." I logged out and signed in again and it seems to be normal now. odd.

Quote:I love that cartoon. It's one of my favorite WB cartoons. But the fact is...that frog is a real nickname-for-Richard. I'm just sayin'.
Well, we don't like to talk about it too much. I mean, yeah, he's one of the most famous members of the family but he really had issues. -
Like cartoons need to follow rules of time/space continuity? Pshaw.
-
The time capsule will contain photos, letters to families, high school year books and a suspicious metal box. Once that box has been removed from the time capsule, a singing/dancing frog will be randomly spotted around Paragon for the remainder of the day.
The Entirety. The Classic. -
Either AR or Archery /TA(I can't remember either) will do you good.
You'll find all Villains are more self sufficient and a little easier to solo with.
Corrs are not quite Blasters and not quite Defenders. They're a fusion of both. Their scourge inherant will give you a bit of extra punch as the fight goes on and they have enough support, buff/debuff in their secondaries to make them very worthy for a team. They can be a bit endurance heavy early on so take that into consideration.
All of the Corr secondaries are worth the trouble. I have a preference for /dark and /rad since both can cripple NPC's easily. But thats just me.
Welcome to the darkside. WE have cookies but you'll have to fight for them. -
If you've got a story you want to tell do it. Thats what the whole thing is for. Put it together and let us know which one it is.

Avoid Illusion?
WHY?
Why would I deny myself that much of an unfair advantage? And, if I can get a decent Ill/Rad then its time to crank the difficulty a bit and bust a few heads. -
the hole in the ground is about 110 yds from lift H
the map coordinates are 437.5 -16.7 1479.1
this is the overbrook side of themap. -
The very first time I saw shield charge in action it was pretty much a windup, a bit of a blur and a mob flying everywhere. Sounds a lot like what the OP was looking for. I agree it could be a bit flashier but it ain't half bad the way it is.

New game and Beta. I think giving it a bit of time is a good choice.
