Okay. Positron task force, part one. I'm the tank. I get onto the first map, everyone's there, we charge into battle... and my game crashes. Damn it. Oh well, this seems to happen a lot when I'm on full teams, I'll just apologize once I log back in. So I log back in, get onto the map... and it crashes again before I even get in the door. The map is corrupt and no matter how many times I log back in, I just crash soon as I step in the door.
The same thing happened on the next map. And the next one. I finished the TF by playing in safe mode, when my computer doesn't normally bat an eyelash at playing on maxed-out ultra. Seriously, what the hell? -
Whoa whoa whoa, snipping tool? What is this sorcery?
I just got a new laptop that has Win7, so this seems interesting... -

Thanks, UnicyclePeon, that was a really helpful and informative post - way more so than I expected to get! I'll go have a look at those builds.
EDIT: Fly AND Super Speed? o_o -
Quote:Sands of Mu7. Aerial Assault - This one is probably the "only" tricky one, as it involves a "tandem" port between foe and player. Is it possible to have both an NPC and player "locked" in an animation together? I can't think of any precedent in the game, so I'm going to hazard a guess that this might be outside the realm of possibility... but I added it as a "wishlist" item.
Player makes the fists animation while the enemy makes a being-pummeled animation.

There is one and only one way I would be for the idea of a reroll system like this: If the only badges that transferred were the no-longer-obtainable ones the toon had gotten from past special events.
-
...But how would Khelds customize anyway? They don't have any great big accessories like the crab pack or weapons like the Widows - just their alternate forms, and I'm predicting a big fat "HELL NO" from Babs regarding that.

Quote:Now I want to make an incarnate of Glooskap just so people ask me who the heck is Glooskap. Or some unpronouceable Aztec or Maya diety. How about an Earth/Fire troller whose patron is Xiuhtecuhtli?I think our diety options should include Betsy Ross, Br'er Rabbit, Columbia, John Henry, Johnny Appleseed, Paul Bunyan, Pecos Bill, Rosie the Riveter, and Uncle Sam

My Dominator and her Praetorian Controller counterpart (I might decide the dom is the Praetorian if it turns out to make a better back story) just scream for Hecate. The only other diety I have in mind for a character is Athena for my sword-shield scrapper, but that might get sticky since she's an alien...

I play a Kin defender - buffing all the time isn't a problem for me, and it's pretty important concept-wise that I've got fire to sling around.
-
So I want to make a Bots/Thermal for concept reasons, and I was hoping to find some advice on how to do it... trouble is, there don't seem to be any guides on the Thermal secondary, so I feel like I'm flying by the seat of my pants. Even in the Controller forum, the only guide to the thermal secondary isn't exactly helpful, since its only stance on whether any of the powers are worth taking is "this power is good." Seriously, that's what it says about ALL of them. So, does anyone have any experience with the Thermal secondary, and can maybe toss me a few pointers about which parts of it are worth taking?

I have a Corruptor who would love this. Ideally, he would have fire, ice, lightning, and dark. Lots of dark. Most of the nondark moves would get recolored to be dark, but keeping one or two token clearly-elemental attacks of each nondark sort would just about make him perfect - so far I'm doing the opposite, running him as a dark/dark with a few of his dark attacks colored as best I can to fudge fire (orange/red Night Fall looks fantastic), lightning (pale yellow Moonbeam), and... well, Tar Patch kind of looks frigid when you color it white, right?
-
I would SO use that power set. Make it so, Castle!

Quote:Oh my god THIS. That would be amazing I WANT IT NOWWWWWWW.You know, just for the hell of it, I would now really like it if you could unlock the 1960's Arachnos Uniform pieces for VEATs, and yes, that would mean a 1960's Widow and Fortunata outfit would need to be made, though the older Widow outfit might only just by closer to what Ghost Widow wears (You know, with the sleeves thing).

Every time someone mentions HeroMachine, I wonder how I forgot it even existed.
Here are two of mine - my level 50 grav/energy dom Eldrix the Blackbird, and a planned ill/rad troller The Illumineer:
(Didn't bother with color reference. Oops.)
(I would totally color her tights like that if I could.)

How about the Facemaker's face? Has that even been fixed yet?

Quote:What, you mean like they still wear? Now we just need the skintight jumpsuits and the huge shoulder pads you were talking about

However, it won't get you into the monkey cage, because teleport doesn't function inside Pocket D - only outdoors in the ski chalet, when it's up.

Quote:The same thing happened to me once in a mission map - but I couldn't hit anything from down there, and I only had Hover so finding a place where the /stuck command would get me unstuck took FOREVER.Falling into a hole under the world (especially Talos) allowing you to live in a sort of underworld, attacking from mobs from below while they were powerless to retaliate. I gained nearly a whole level one afternoon while awaiting GM rescue, chortling madly the entire time.

Helmut von Gunfire, my planned DP character corruptor/maybe-rogue-blaster. You can probably guess the stereotype from the name... he was inspired by a jumble puzzle where the word "Unforgiven" was jumbled as "VONGUNFIRE" and I instantly knew I needed to make that character.
-
This would make my eventual dream of an eight-man grav-trollers-and-or-doms-only TF/SF (forcefielders, stormies, and energy assaulters preferred!) even more fun. Task Force Mayhem? Task Force Total Chaos? Task Force Knockback Is Great And If You Don't Think So You Must Be STUPID?

This is exactly the kind of curiosity that I mistake for the passing kind, then it sticks in my head until it becomes resolved.
Damn it, newchemicals! -
Here are some that I have realized we are notably lacking:
-Tornado
-Water drop
-Exclamation marks
-Question mark without circular border
-Straight-rayed sun
-Triangles (both up-pointing and down-pointing)
-Single gear
-Inverted pentacle
I'd think of more but in the middle of making this post I got distracted and now I'm going to eat dinner. Anyway, who's with me?
