Someone refresh me on the Snipping tool thingie
Here's the process I used.
Open the Snipping Tool (I put a shortcut on my desktop just for this reason)
Open the game, get to the screen I want a shot of.
Alt-Tab to the Snipping Tool and click New. It generally sends the focus back to the game.
Drag the box around the shot I want. If it's a bit off, I'll click New again and try to get my box in a better spot.
Save the file, open in GiMP, Paint, Photoshop or whatever editor I have access to for further work.
Hope that helps.
If the game spit out 20 dollar bills people would complain that they weren't sequentially numbered. If they were sequentially numbered people would complain that they weren't random enough.
Black Pebble is my new hero.
Whoa whoa whoa, snipping tool? What is this sorcery?
I just got a new laptop that has Win7, so this seems interesting...
Windows Vista included an app in the Accessories folder called, "Snipping Tool", which basically lets you take screenshots of your desktop, or it creates a drag box to screen capture as much or as little of the desktop that you want. I use it ALL the time, it's better than those clunky Mac commands, where you need 4 fingers to take one capture.
I am assuming they kept it for Windows 7, so go check your Start menu/Accessories...
But how is the snipping tool diffrent from hitting print screen key and pasting it in an image program?

This is only for costume creator shots. I can take screen shots of the "real" game just fine which wind up in my game folder as usual. It's the shots of the costume creator or maybe the enhancement screen or whatever that have this problem.
And thanks for the help, helpers!

Cause knowing is half the battle...
For whatever it may be worth, try holding down Ctrl when hitting PrntScrn. For whatever reason when just print screen doesn't work for me, control-print screen will. I swear it's on a lunar cycle or something because whether I need to use control in the creator or in game seems to change every so often...
Upgrading to a new computer with Win7 means I get the black-screen when I try to screenshot the costume creator. I know there's an inelegant work around to this but never paid attention before since I was using XP at the time. Share, please?
Yes, I totally used "screenshot" as a verb.
