  1. What exactly does the mission briefing say? From what you've said so far, it sounds like a door mission. When you select the mission (click it on the Missions window), does a yellow or red distance marker show up and a star spot on your mini-map start to flash? Did you go into a mission door/truck/etc?
  2. There's a regular Council mission map that has lava. It's got that big structure in the middle sitting in the lava that typically doesn't have any spawns. You'd have duck under a corner of it to go around or go up on the raised area along the wall.

And speaking of lava, there's also the final map of the Hess TF.

    First read this:

If it doesn't offer immediate help, use the apps that it recommends to dump out your system specs, then start a post at the Technical Issues and Bugs board.

    SnOMG!!!

I had the unfortunate experience of having to drive through a blizzard in DC once. My sister was due to give a presentation at some industry conference at a hotel. I almost had to ditch my car in the middle of the street. I saw no evidence of plowing on even the main streets. Luckily, I had a little folding military surplus shovel in the trunk. I practically dug my way to the hotel.

While watching the news at the hotel, I saw the Governor of Maryland saying they had all of their 1500 snow plows out trying to clear the roads. For comparison, on a different channel, the Mayor of New York City was saying he had 1800 snow plows out with another several hundred trucks that they could attach plows to if necessary. A couple of days after the blizzard ended, we left the hotel. The side streets still hadn't been plowed, but the main streets were. Not a great job though. I didn't see a clean road until we hit the highway.

  6. Tell me more about the life cycle of Carrion Creepers. I'm haven't been able to determine it just from observation. From initial germination to their eventual wiltering, what goes on?

    - How many vines per enemy does it sprout? It looks like at least one per, but sometimes I see more vines than enemies.

    - Why does it seem to do damage even after all enemies are defeated? There seems to be a continual stream of orange numbers.

    - At certain points, I hear a loud "BRAAK!" sound effect. There's typically one during a longish fight and a really loud one after the fight ends. I assume this is to represent some sort of reproductive sporing, but is there any actual combat benefit? Is it "absorbing" defeated enemies to self-heal?

    - How fast do they move to follow me? How well can they follow me vertically?

    - How long do they last? Yeah, I haven't bothered to look this up.

    - And are there any other trivia about the Creepers that I ought to know about?
  7. Villain side, if you have to go to Port Oakes to pay Rent or to Mercy Island for some odd SF mission, the Ouroborus Portal isn't going to get you there if you don't feel like zone hopping. However, if you have the Marketeer day job badge (for logging out at the Black Market), you'll get a Black Market Teleporter temp power which will get you to both zones.

I think it's because of her pants and shoes. They're very prominent and look masculine to me. In black and white that is, perhaps it'll be clearer in color.

The butt of the bottom girl (pun?) doesn't look right. The right butt cheek and leg look too mirror image of the left butt cheek and leg. Might be a perspective thing. Plus assuming that they are position such that they look like that, then her head seem too twisted to face her left as you have it.
  9. I have experienced the Forums, along with a other sites that I typically stayed logged into (Amazon, Ebay, Facebook), not remembering to keep me logged in just in the past few days. I think I've figured out what I did to cause it, as I had no problems before.

Earlier this week, I did a full back up of my hard disk. This was the first back up I've done in a while, probably the first since I've upgraded IE to v8. As part of my "usual" process, I deleted all the temporary Internet Explorer files and cookies. With IEv8, to do this I had to:

    Internet Options-->Browsing History-->Delete button-->Preserve Favorites Website data = unchecked
And then go through with the Delete.

I've had this option checked off ever since IEv8 was installed. After my back up was done, I forgot to recheck it. Since then, the Forums and other sites wouldn't remember me.

I've tested it by relogging into the Forums, Amazon, eBay, Facebook, etc, then unchecking this option and going through with the Delete. After I close and reopen the browser window, all my logins were lost. If this option is checked, I remain logged in and other (cookie) settings remembered even after going through with the Delete.
  10. Oh, I saw the lines. But the Trams got their own bar shapes. The Ferries are vehicular transports too, so they ought to get bar shapes too.
  11. Air Superiority set on auto-attack. A running enemy trying to make a break for it? I have him targeted as I close for an intercept and BAM! Air Superiority goes off while his momentum takes his bounce a little past me. It is as if I just clothes-lined him.
  12. I've always called it the Hospital Express. Once I actually thought about this technique that is, which was probably 2-3 years into the game. My first character didn't get a travel power until the high-20s, so by then I had already conditioned myself to jogging everywhere. I recall that I've even told dead team mates to go to the Hospital instead of wasting an Awaken and then traveling while I, who was still alive, jogged 3 zones to the next mission.
  13. You're missing the transport bars representing the Ferries.
  14. Try "I like 'em big and stupid" by Julie Brown for a Vahzilok encounter.

The green geyser path lines were added to the Minimap a long time ago. You don't need the map pack to see them.

In regards to the 2 Tram lines in Skyway, adding the Greenline only alleviated the need to zone hop to get to Skyway. Which only affected highbies anyway, because once you're at Skyway, have you noticed that
    - lowbie mission doors are still half a zone away at the south end of Skyway while
    - highbie mission doors were put half a zone a way at the north end of Skyway?
  18. The Teleport Prompt used to be down in the middle of the General tab, now it's up at the top section.

I'll note that sometimes, for unknown reasons, it gets disabled. I always enable the Teleport Prompt option as soon as I get into the Tutorial with a new character and I never touch it again. Yet, occasionally on level 50 characters, I'd suddenly get teleported without being prompted. Of course, I'd immediately check the option and find that it's not enabled. I don't know why it happens and it's not like I mess with the options a lot and accidentially disabled it.
  19. I don't expect to get any buffs, so I'm not concerned with whether anyone has the ability or inclination to give it to me. However, if someone does decide to pass out the Fortune buff, I'd wish they not do it during a fight. I don't need to have a box suddenly appear in the middle of my screen when I'm concentrating on not dying.

  21. Is the Luck Charm cabal getting together again?
  22. Actually, the Fortune prompt bugs me. I'm preoccupied with fighting and suddenly a dialog box appears in front of me. It's like the old SG Invite prompts from the past before I sidestepped the issue by forming my own SGs.

    Range and AOEs

Plus to really get the most out of a cone attack, you need to target the guy at the back and line yourself up with the spawn group. If you're solo, stealthed and have plenty of time, this is easily done. However, the choas of a team and the spawn group both swarming around makes this difficult to do. Most of the time, I end up just targeting whatever I can and shoot. Having extra range gives me a better chance of reaching more enemies.
