I think this is a great idea! Kudos!

I am in agreement with CR about the order of cities/zones. I guess I always picture things based on levels. The lowest level zones should be first then in order through 50. Then it's a matter of deciding which zones with the same levels go first and I'd probably hit the Wiki and see which were introduced first. I tend to do my teleporters in the base with this logic.

Again great idea and have fun with it!

These are absolutely beautiful. I love the Alpha one. I get a Post-Apocolyptic Knight vibe which I think is totally cool. Definitely my favorite of the three but all are great! Where ever you put these up in your house must be getting pretty full by now!

I know this isn't totally CoX related so if it's a problem I'll delete the thread. BUT he drew this last night and I was very impressed:


So much so, that I made a really bad attempt to scan it (I don't know what I'm messing up there) and then color it myself... The colors are horrible I know but I have no clue what I'm doing lol Feel free to critique just remember he's 12 and still learning...

He is supposed to be turned to his left a little which is why the eyes are off center but I think they may be a bit too much off center compared to the chin and mouth.

There are some amazing remakes here. My personal favorite are the Steampunk versions.

If there is still room here are my three entrants... I'll add the rest if I have time but these sort of popped out at me.

BABs: I would use his original gloves if I could. Or even a newer updated version with bigger fists. I think he should look tough yet more street than cape.


Sister Psyche: I've always felt she should be more in your face with her psychic powers. So she has two Psi-Blades. I also brought in some more color. The furry boots because they seem to be trendy...


Manticore: Lose the cowl and gain a mask. Definitely should be more armoured but not bulky. Manti needs to be able to move easily. No capes or cowls. Also the mask enhances his sight courtesy of Positron. I used the Rularuu bow as it looks like it could be used as a blade of some sorts. If at all possible I'd add a triple quiver pack. I'd hate for him to grab an explosive arrow when he really needed the teleport arrow!


Synapse: I felt he needed a racer look to him yet still have some Crey influence in his costume. So I went with a Stealth leather top and Tech Sleek bottom. I kept his colors the same as they are fairly iconic to him. I went with the Vetruvian Man chest detail because basically Crey was trying to create the perfect man...

Has there ever been a purge of forum names like they've done in-game with the Global Names? There's another name I'd like and the last activity on it was in 2006. Just curious!

Okay that helps explain it a bit then. Still cool art and by an obviously talented artist.

Very cool piece. My only "gripe" would be the spines coming from Blackthorn's back look more like spider/insect appendages instead of spikes. Although I guess I just look for more spines in general but I can see how that could get way too busy.

edit - I see you mentioned more thorns so that would work!

See I don't think I was saying no one should give their criticism/critiques/praises. I just think maybe we should have that separated over in the entry thread. If anything to help avoid the drama here and to help Wassy tally the votes. I mean who doesn't want to help Wassy tally?

Why would they only be fire based? I would think a combination of fire and dark. I do like the idea of Sonic - like those little beasties redside whose names I forget at the moment.

MM was the first redside toon I enjoyed playing (thugs/dark) so it will be nice to have an addition to them. Although now that Posi isn't in the final decision chair - I can haz clownzez neow? Demon clownzez even better. Rodeo clownzez would even pass...

I really like your style and the quick How-To is very helpful. BUT as a noob at inking, heck digital art entirely, when you say you go from the "pencils" to the inked image are you actually tracing a new layer using the pencil tool?

I ask because I too have a hard time getting nice clean lines from sketches and such. I usually play with the contrast and brightness levels and then using the magic-wand select (which is so inaccurate at times) to select my lines and then create a new layer with that selection. This is time consuming and very often I lose a ton of detail that I would rather not lose.

Although maybe the votes thread is not the place to note your critiques or opinions so as not to sway others. Kinda like voting places must keep political affiliation signs so many feet away from the actual polling place and you can't wearclothing that supports one candidate over another into the polling places....

I did see the book CR. While I probably wouldn't have totally gotten that without your description of the piece to be honest,i t's a great piece none-the-less and your humor is always a treat.

Very cool image. If this were any of my toons I'd slap it up as my desktop in a heartbeat! I love the colors and the lighting and well.... everything! Compared to other versions of TA I've seen this is one of my favorites. Very cool indeed!
