  1. I did some looking on the 'net, and found these things to help you out.

    How to fix win32k.sys BSODs.

And STOP 0x0000008E Blue Screen Errors. (Make sure to click through to the guide [it will take a few clicks to get to the specific STOP error].)

The "short answer" is to run Windows Update, and make sure everything is good there.

Double check that your video drivers are up to date and good. (Might need to uninstall them, sweep your drivers, and reinstall.)

If neither of those work, and you have the install disks for your OS, try "sfc /scannow" in a command prompt. (And expect it to take a long time.)

If you have done all of that, and it hasn't improved... You might have a hardware problem. I'd really recommend going through the links I posted to understand further at that point.

((I'm betting on the video drivers myself.))

If Test was bugged, then the bug might have made it Live.

The LFG refused to let an Event start with less than 4 players. (I was not part of a group, and singly joined the queue. The LFG cancelled the Event when one person failed to enter.)

    Ehh... It isn't totally clear.

From what Zwillinger told us, yes the Token should be awarded at the end of your month.

From what Support is (allegedly) telling people, Tokens are awarded on the 28th (the end of the month). If that is just for October, or not, remains to be seen. But since it lines up with i21 Freedom Live launch (and not the head start) people are taking it to mean from here on.

So, as it looks now, Transfers are awarded on the 1st (or your first log in of the month, whichever is later); Paragon Points are awarded on your billing date of the month; and Reward Tokens are awarded on the 28th (possibly with the same provision of your first log in on, or after the 28th).

But that is all speculation, as we are still waiting to hear what is actually going on.

Taking context into account, I am guessing you meant this as a less-than-obvious insult as to my sanity. If not, then take it a clue as to why people do not find these forums/this community all that friendly.

Besides, you post that as if you have definitive proof that they don't.

Next you will be trying to claim there is zero chance the Fort Knox vault is empty, or that there is zero chance that the moon landing footage was faked.

    Yes, and no.

nVidia users are having problems (Search of only the Gameplay/Technical Issues forum; searched only for the last 6 months; some "false positives" will be there as posters have gone into ATI threads demonizing ATI and praising nVidia), particularly with the new issue.
Unless nVidia and AMD/ATI use the same driver code, we can't compare client reactions between the two brands.
Since most of the ATI crashes - if left alone long enough when they happened - had Windows reporting the the driver has stopped responding, and that Windows has stopped the program, it is possible that nVidia codes a more graceful error handling. Or other variation in methodology that doesn't show actual compatibility.

I find it hard to believe. While not OpenGL related, I find it educational to watch both brands scurry to write Beta drivers that work with brand new games every year. If there was an actual DirectX standard (that even game developers followed) you would think the driver writers would be on top of such things.

I find it unlikely there is actually a clear standard for all parties to follow.
  7. I've not followed this issue much because it didn't affect me.

But if I recall, you could scroll the mission list until the mission you wanted was nearly off the top of the window, and could then select it.
  8. You can also check this thread if you haven't already.

There was one poster in that thread that reported it could work on 11.10.

I've not run a lot of Keyes... It burned me out on the whole iTrial thing.

But I can tell you why *I* suffered the Obliteration Beam.

I couldn't see the target on the ground.
Mostly that was due to not knowing what it looked like.
But a lot of that was due to the color. A lot of my characters effects were green in color. (Barrier, Triage Beacon, etc.) So it was never obvious to me.
Sure I saw the text, sometimes (that mechanical part of the game is either intermittent, or I am just so desensitized to seeing text pop up I don't always see it). But that was never enough to give me an idea of where it is hitting, and combines with the fact that "break out in a random direction" is often a bad idea. Especially on a Keyes.

    YMMV, of course.

    Mouse Problems

If you mean the "right click and drag" operation, yeah I am seeing it. It is intermittent at best.

I have no suggestions for you. I haven't even begun to try and trouble shoot it on my own machine yet.

The Catalyst drivers between 11.4 and 11.9 non-inclusive didn't play nice with CoH.

  13. You didn't list what operating system you are running. But if you are not running a 64 bit OS, more RAM won't do you a whole lot of good, if any.

The graphics cards Emberly mentioned are a good choice. But I agree that it might not help you over the whole three years you are looking for.

Unfortunately, this isn't true. Under the Detailed Information (either the tab, or the Details section in the manage enhancements window) the buff says %XX.XX to all resistances. And yes, this is without the "Show PvP Effects" checked.

Also, if you have anything modifying resist damage in the power, on the manage enhancements window, the mouse over lists it modifying all resistances - even though the details at the top of the mouse over window only says Smashing and Lethal.

I would classify these as display bugs/errors... But they show up when not looking at the PvP details or in a PvP zone.

While your GPU meets the minimum performance for CoH... I'm not sure you will ever find a driver that will work with it and your GPU.

I scoured AMD/ATI for a compatible driver, and came across a page telling me that AMD cannot provide support through AMD.com, and that I would have to go through the manufacturer's website.

I then tried going through Dell... But your CoH Helper log didn't give me enough information to figure out what model system you have.

I've got no advice for you. Hopefully someone with more detailed knowledge will come by and give you something to work with.

I am pretty sure this is what happened, even though it wasn't meant to. Several people received their points early, while some that should have received them have reported not getting them.

At this point, I'm not sure if anyone at NCSoft/Paragon knows how things are supposed to work. And it will take a while for everyone to get on the same page and get the scripts worked out. :-S

I can go into too much depth about this... But the short line is "That isn't until December 21st, 2012." So it shouldn't be a factor.
  19. My renewal date is on the 22nd, and I did receive my points on the 12th.

Looks like that award script is a bit screwy. :-S

I started in the head start so on the 24th of this month I should hit 91 months if I did my math right. 37?

I bought every expansion/boxed set and pack there is except for the origins pack. +1?
    I have an account. +1?
    I bought some points over 400. +1?
I bought the 1200 point bundle with the120 point bonus. This includes the one above for over 400 points. +1?
I should be getting another token as I am pretty sure I have gotten my 550 points for this month. +1?

So according to my math I should have 42 tokens once they give me the one for this month and if they have giving me the one for this month then I am off more then I think as I only show having earned 40 tokens.

Is my math right or is the buying of 400+ points and the buying of 1200 points seperate which I don't think they are.
Just in case Snow Globe's post isn't clear (I can see that chart being confusing), I'm going to go through it as I see it. Hopefully I won't make the confusion worse.

    Base account: 1
Any box code, just one: 1
    Number of years: 7
Number of Veteran badges at the launch of Freedom head start: 29 (89/3, round down)

That means, before anything else, at the launch you should have had 38 Tokens.

Then everyone got (or were supposed to get) Septembers token early, so that brings you to 39.

    Then you bought points.

First purchase should give you a token: 40

If you purchased a total of 1200 (or more) points - your post isn't very clear on what you bought specifically - that would be another token: 41

As to when you should get your next token, I can't answer. And there isn't an easy way for you to figure out. Maybe Support/Billing can look it up for you... But I am fairly certain your next token shouldn't arrive until about October 23rd-ish.

So, by my math, you are only short 1 token. And, if your points purchase was recent / or even during posting this, it might show up the next time you log out and in.

Actually, I think you math is off, and your account is correct.

Freedom launched on the 13th. You only count Vet badges up to that time for starting award.

    77/3 round down is 25.
    Plus 6 years
    Plus 1 for box
    Plus one base
    Equals 33.
    Plus Septembers early, equals 34.

Unfortunately, they are on the same timer.

Each part of the arc has a "first run" bonus though. And what you saw is that. The first time you run any part of the arc (by character, not account), you get a "free" reward table that doesn't count towards the seven day timer.

So, as an example, if someone waited until all seven parts were released before ever running any of them, they could get 8 Alignment Merits in one day by running all seven parts and re-running one part a second time. But they would have to wait seven days before getting an Alignment Merit from any of them again, and would then be limited to one Alignment Merit per whole arc (and not per part) per seven days.

I don't disagree with you. In fact, I agree fully.

But I was thinking on this earlier today.

While YMMV, I really find it hard to swallow that the arcs - by content alone - are worth the $5/400PP.
But if you look at the rewards, it is more likely to be worth $5/400PP. I still do not think so, but I am not as impressed with Alignment Merits and Astral Merits as others are...

Also, these SSAs might be the so-called "solo" incarnate path. Yeah, 10 threads in the grand scheme of things is pretty poor... But this is the first, and so far only, way a non-incarnate level 50 can get threads without grouping.
It still stinks for crafting Incarnate Salvage... But it does open the possibility of unlocking all the slots solo. Without a whole lot of time investment.

Taking all of that together, and I can see others (those that are not me) finding these things worth $5/400PP.
  25. I don't normally run the game with sound on, so take the following with a grain of salt.

I ran the game for a while last night with sound, and everything sounded fine to me.

A couple of things you can check on your end, if the problem hasn't righted itself:
    • Check your free disk space on your drive(s).
If you have less than 20% free disk space, you might want to clear some space.
    • Defrag your drive(s).
If windows is spending resources compiling the fragments of sound files, it might mess with the sound.
    • Run updated virus/malware scans.
You might have some uninvited guest using up resources.
