That's certainly the best arc I know of for a Hero, but you can't unlock Viridian on a Hero. :P
  2. /inspirationslot
    Usage:inspirationslot takes 1 args, you gave 0.
Activate an inspitation slot in the first row.
    inspirationslot <int>

    /inspirationslot 0
    no result, no error message

    /inspirationslot 1
    acted the same as "F1"

    /inspirationslot 2
    acted the same as "F2"

    /inspirationslot 8
    no result, no error message

It looks like it's just an alias of the other command.

    Edit:
..and there is already a page for it on the Wiki..

The green dot just symbolizes the network load on that server, not necessarily an actual number of accounts currently online. I rarely see it go yellow anymore ever since they upgraded the server hardware a year or so ago... unless it's a special event weekend or something.

On that same note, it's possible for a server to become FULL before it even goes into the "red" because they set a hard limit on the number of accounts allowed signed onto each server, and that does not necessarily create maximum network load anymore.

I only meant that the new software makes the CUDA-enabled cards partially act like a PPU, even though it didn't originally work for that purpose. The cards were out well before you could enable PhysX on them. It's still hardware-accelerated, yes.

    Ouroboros has no criminals.

Midnighter's Club has no criminals (not including the Villain story arc were the Armor comes alive).

Pocket D has no criminals (unless you count the Villains, haha).

There are no criminals when zone invasions start.

    :P

That doesn't mean I wouldn't help clear a zone though. Sounds like fun
  6. Once you reach 24, you are given a free respec. As far as I am aware, you have to actually perform a respec for it to unlock the other categories.

I only have one 24+(lvl50) VEAT, but it worked just fine when I respec'd at 24.

If you have a main account, you ARE still playing during the off-time.

You can send invite-a-friend-back codes to yourself if you are using it as a second account. I'm not saying it's the best method in the world to run extra characters at no charge, but I'm sure there's some people who might do it... especially for people with 1 main account and the second or 3rd account is just casual.. you could resub every once in a while without the extra charge. Maybe hardcore farmers or people with severe "alt-itis" would make use the extra accounts too.
  8. If you want to use a drug name in the bio, just use Superadine. That should be safe, seeing how it's already in the story line of the game. lol

You still need to be gone for 3 months to qualify for the free time, so they've already lost that subscription time, and giving away a few extra days to encourage a re-sub isn't that bad...

If it were the way YOU want it to be, then they'd be giving away the free time to the "friend" account without resubscribing anyway, which would surely get exploited by people rotating 3 or 4 accounts every few months for free... and that wouldn't really in the company's best interest... which is why making the re-subscription mandatory a reasonable thing.

Considering that most of the Nvidia cards that "support PhysX" were already on the market before NVidia even bought the rights to it, I don't see how that is possible. They simply added software to the driver package to emulate and utilize that type of feature.

The problem with CoH is that there is an OLD PhysX package within the game files that does not recognize the NVidia emulation and will not work without the actual hardware... which many people say does not even make much of a difference these days with the increase in performance of other parts of the system anyway. You are still getting PhysX, you just can't turn on the option that says "Ageia".

I don't know how you were able to enable it before.

Not in my experience. Anything I collapsed in my UserCP was still collapsed the next time I went back.

Then again.. it might have something to do with the cookie issue some people have staying logged in, where I didn't have that issue either.
  18. Refer-a-friend works differently than "invite-a-friend-back" does.

People who already had an account before, already had their trial and know what the game is like. You have to subscribe for 1 month for each account to get the free time... at least that's how it was both times I reactivated my second account. I was charged immediately.

    Edit:

Plus, it says so in the description of invite-a-friend-back:
#3 - When your friend reactivates their game account for a minimum one month of game time with a credit card or a 30-day or 60-day game time card, they will be invited to enter the Reactivation Credit Serial Code. Once this process is complete, you will each be credited 15 days of free game time to your City of Heroes®/City of Villains® accounts. IMPORTANT: They must enter this code in order for you OR them to receive any credit. As long as they do enter the code, you will split the 30 day credit.

That's exactly how they were when they were available. There was a "-" sign that would collapse that section if you didn't want to see them.

The game only supports actual Aegia PhysX hardware. As far as I'm aware, the PhysX included in NVidia's drivers are actually software emulated. Nobody that I know has ever been able to enable that option in-game with only an NVidia card and updated drivers. I believe you'd need an actual Aegia card.

If you were able to enable that option before, then I'm assuming you have a separate PhysX card. If you can no longer enable it in-game after installing new NVidia software, then you might have to disable/change that option in the NVidia settings so it will work off the original hardware instead.

I just did this for you, and came up with the following results:
    (I used F7 just so I could easily /unbind F7 afterward.)

    /bindloadfile testfile1.txt
    Quote:
F7 "inspcombine insight "catch a breath"$$inspcombine luck "catch a breath"$$inspcombine enrage "catch a breath"$$inspcombine respite "catch a breath"$$inspcombine sturdy "catch a breath"$$inspcombine "break free" "catch a breath"$$inspcombine awaken "catch a breath"$$inspcombine "focused rage" "take a breather"$$inspcombine "keen insight" "take a breather"$$inspcombine "good luck" "take a breather"$$inspcombine "dramatic improvement" "take a breather"$$inspcombine rugged "take a breather"$$inspcombine emerge "take a breather"$$inspcombine "bounce back" "take a breather"$$inspcombine "righteous rage" "second wind"$$inspcombine "phenominal luck" "second wind"$$inspcombine "uncanny insight" "second wind"$$inspcombine resurgence "second wind"$$inspcombine robust "second wind"$$inspcombine escape "second wind"$$inspcombine restoration "second wind""
    /bindsavefile testfile2.txt (showing just the F7 key)
    Quote:
    F7 "inspcombine insight "catch a breath"$$inspcombine luck "catch a breath"$$inspcombine enrage "catch a breath"$$inspcombine respite "catch a breath"$$inspcombine sturdy "catch a breath"$$inspcombine "break free" "catch a breath"$$inspcombine awaken "catch a"
It's apparent I was right, and the truncated version is missing a quotation mark and screwing things up. You'll need more than one bind to do what you want to do. If you want to keep it on one key, you could always create a rotating set of files like this:

    blueinsp0.txt
    alt+numpad1 "inspcombine insight "catch a breath"$$inspcombine luck "catch a breath"$$inspcombine enrage "catch a breath"$$inspcombine respite "catch a breath"$$inspcombine sturdy "catch a breath"$$inspcombine "break free" "catch a breath"$$bindloadfile blueinsp1.txt"

    blueinsp1.txt
    alt+numpad1 "inspcombine awaken "catch a breath"$$inspcombine "focused rage" "take a breather"$$inspcombine "keen insight" "take a breather"$$inspcombine "good luck" "take a breather"$$inspcombine "dramatic improvement" "take a breather"$$bindloadfile blueinsp2.txt"

    blueinsp2.txt
    alt+numpad1 "inspcombine rugged "take a breather"$$inspcombine emerge "take a breather"$$inspcombine "bounce back" "take a breather"$$inspcombine "righteous rage" "second wind"$$inspcombine "phenominal luck" "second wind"$$bindloadfile blueinsp3.txt"

    blueinsp3.txt
alt+numpad1 "inspcombine "uncanny insight" "second wind"$$inspcombine resurgence "second wind"$$inspcombine robust "second wind"$$inspcombine escape "second wind"$$inspcombine restoration "second wind"$$bindloadfile blueinsp0.txt"

    Notes:
    - Each file references the next, and the last file references back to the first.
    - You'll have to hit the same key 4 times to execute the full set of binds.
    - This was just an example of how it would be done.
    - I did not test any of them for syntax or text limits.

I think it's randomly cutting bits and pieces out of the binds to fit within the limit.
That's what I was trying to say... I think your code is fine, but it's being truncated, which means the " at the end (or somewhere else before that point) is being lost, making your code get interpreted differently when it is actually executed, and failing.

Try cutting the bind into just the small insp (for example), and see if works, then work your way up to see when it fails.

That's just an example... don't want to type out the full bind again, lol. But would that work? And could I place "alt" with "ctrl"?
Yes, alt, control, and shift are all chord keys that should work for any programmable key. If you are going to use numpad1, maybe you could cut your bind into 3 smaller binds and use 1, 2, and 3 for small, medium, and large (for example) to make it fit within the bind size limitation. Alt+num1,num2,num3 might be easier to quickly press than than alt+num1, shift+num1, ctrl+num1 would.

But if you expand your question to: Could I use "alt+ctrl+numpad1", that answer would be NO, at least I'm not aware of multiple chords being allowed.

Actually, now that I think of it.. try loading your bind, then immediately do a "/bindsavefile testinglimit.txt" and check that file to see what the game records for that key. Then you can get an idea of what the limit is and why it is failing.
