  1. Pay for a Transfer on the first character, then when you move the second, you will get a free rename. If you want them both to get new names, make a placeholder with the name on the new server then buy the Transfers and both will get free renames.
  2. yes but only if you login

Because on a standard contact story arc, there's no way to measure who was there since the beginning. Do an arc until the last mission, invite 7 others, do last mission, pass along merits they didn't earn. If 8 people run arcs then mutually join each other's teams for the finale, you get 8 arcs worth of merits in the amount of time it takes to do one arc.

In Ouroboros, you can invite people for the beginning, and have them logoff until the finale, but at the least that character is locked into the arc until it's complete. In order to pull the same stunt, you'd have to use 8 different characters on 8 different teams, much less efficient logistically speaking, and the rewards are spread over 8 characters and nontradeable.

Better to ask why it's more unfair to someone with Def than it is to any non squishy. The protective set you have is completely irrelevant if you are working on a damage badge via the accepted method of getting hit while Resting, since Rest negates them. Since that's the case, it's the ATs with fewest hit points that lose out, since they have a much lower threshold for damage throughput.
  5. Usually during downtime when I'm at home, I play my daily dose of Animal Crossing. Yeah, I know that makes no sense for a 36 year old guy, but it feeds my collecting instincts nicely.
  6. For once I'm glad I'm on the opposite coast. Get well soon guys.

Taking advantage of the reports filed by people who went before you isn't cheating. This is how humans made it everywhere on the planet. We all had to find these markers on our own once, and kindly we left the info behind for others so that they wouldn't have to look for hours.

Whether or not you take advantage of that or not is up to you. You could simply work to figure it out on your own, like a lot of people have.

Supergroup accomplishments are measured by things done in SG mode. I'm sorry you think it's silly, but if it weren't done that way, as soon as the character who had the badges that granted the beacon left an SG, they'd lose it.

    Banned AE arcs

If the rules change such that the aspect that made it rulebreaking is no longer relevant or even possible, there's no reason NOT to unban it.

I know you're big on story above all but jeez, it's a simulator. Let people use it as such to test their abilities if the choose, and their intent is not to gain undue rewards.

One I would also proffer is to explain how to use the guards to pass between zones. It was a little counter-intuitive to click on the rail train car door. It was a LOT counter-intuitive to click on the GUARD to move to another zone...
Clicking where the little blue Click Here hand appears doesn't seem counter intuitive to me.
  11. The best I can do for you, is to make a "drop power" like that a single click. The power has to be aimed, but with this bind you can activate it at the spot your cursor is without creating the spot first.

    /bind ctrl+lbutton "powexecname carrion creepers"

One thing I will say is even though you may not like the power setup as-is, I hope you learn some of the tactical advantages of it. With a drop power and a little patience, you can drop it from around a corner or on enemies above or below you, without being in sight.

In any case, enjoy. Plant Control is one of my favorite sets. I love my Plant Dominator, and my Plant/Rad controller is also very good.

It's not that they're impossible to play, it's that they don't rank very well on the Satisfaction Curve for most people. If you don't expect a lot from them, you won't be disappointed.
  13. Just to note, if you and your husband still have your old account info, you only need to restart them for 15$ a month each, you don't need to buy the game.

If you don't have the old accounts, then I recommend looking online or going to a store like Big Lots. There are lots of very inexpensive copies of the game out there (under $10). Any full version of the game comes with a free month of the game, so these discount copies end up being essentially free.
  14. Check your badges under the Veteran category. If you've gotten the 15 month badge, head to the tailor. Any costume will have the wings listed under Back Options. Nothing special need be done.
  15. Are you in the door in the center of the station, or the one on the right? The center is the only way on, the other door is the exit.
  16. Your chain of events fails in making the assumption that they paid real money for inf then converted it. If they've confirmed they did RMT, then report them. The devs are not about to cut off inf>prestige conversion just because some people might be doing something that is already against the rules, to advance on what is essentially a meaningless statistic.

#1 prestige ranking is a pointless number. I'm glad you've had fun doing the things you did to get it, but by no means should you get so wrapped up in it as to think the number itself is important.

I know that the devs never intended it to become what it has and I have a right to ask that something be done about it. If you had done your research and found out that I was right in the first place instead of attacking me there wouldn't be any drama.

P.S. Exactly what "other stuff" are we talking about?
Things you've been wrong about since the OP:
    1) You have a right to ask, not demand.
    2) just because trial accounts can email doesn't mean that's the only way spam is sent.
    3) as I said before, if you'd looked or asked you'd have learned a solution is already on the way and there's no need to implement further restrictions on trial accounts.
    4) you leave the strong implication that not solving this problem means the devs are stupid.
    5) you overstate the difficulty and scope of the problem and the amount of use the email system got even before spam. Hyperbole doesn't make your case.

Really, I don't want drama. The fact that you keep posting in such an inflammatory way shows you think it's fun or will solve your issue more effectively, even though it's already solved.

Final Tip: you seem as if your feelings have been hurt by the way people responded to you. Don't take the forums personally, and don't start from an emotional position, and people won't be as likely to come down on you.
  18. I'm sorry to hear you bought a new copy of the game though. You could have just reactivated your account and then downloaded the Mac Version of the client. Clients are free, account codes and upgrades cost money. At least though if you applied the code to your old account you get 30 free days and the goodies from the Mac version.

Villain-side I'm amazed whenever I see a */Energy Aura Brute, so I'd venture that as a rare secondary, but for all I know there are tons of them and they hide from me.
I have a level 50 EM/EA brute, and I'd say you don't see them often because they play like scrappers more than most other brutes, and thus don't meet the expectations of people on teams who want a brute to tank.

Typed Defenses were really hard to improve on before the Halo changes were made to IO bonuses, and that helps a lot though. So does Darkest Night in the Ghost Widow pool. My EA brute went from minor annoyance to zomg fun pretty quickly once I paid him some attention after those changes.

Though I still wouldn't mind getting Energize instead of CP, like Elec did.

*shrug* just because you were right about one thing, doesn't mean you were right about the other stuff. The entire thread would have been better served if you'd either done a bit of looking before posting, or used this section of the forum as intended and come here asking if any changes were coming instead of trying to whip up support for your crusade.

"Is anything going to be done about spam emails?"

"Yes. Issue 16 has some cool filter options and it's due on Live in the near future"

    Much less drama, see?

    Salvage Issues

Also it should be noted that if you have some time, selling salvage on the Market can be more lucrative than selling to NPC vendors.

As for my personal salvage choices, I keep rares unless I know they're not needful, and I sell Uncommons and Commons unless I know they're called for often in recipes I plan to make and are harder to come by.

Really it helps to have a general plan, instead of keeping things "in case"

I make enhancers at level 12 (lvl 15 IOs are better than DOs) and at level 32 (lvl 35 IOs are better than SOs 4/5 of the time and last me until 50). From there and knowing the character and powers you have, you can come up with a kind of shopping list by looking up what the recipes you will need will take. That's a little more work than I tend to put in lately, but it works well.

After that, you can sell anything not on the list, and when the time comes, buy anything you still haven't gotten yet.

    Long time away

    http://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Issues

If you left around Issue 8 or 9, a lot has changed, and is still changing. There's a lot more to do at all levels, and as of the next issue (16) it will be easier to play and gain rewards at any level. However if you're looking for a WoW-style grind driven endgame, you won't find it. There are Invention Origin enhancers to work on that make high level characters even more powerful, and there's a lot of content geared to the highest level characters, but there isn't a system where most of what there is to do is meant for the highest level.

You've missed a lot of great additions though. It doesn't do much good to type it all here just for you when there's a nice wiki page for you to look at though.

    Welcome back.
