If someone earned the SG healing badges (1 or more of them) in one Super-group, then joins a different Super-Group (that didn't have those badges already), does their progress transfer over?
If I'm not clear enough, let's say Captain Example has earned the first two SG healing badges and the SG he's part of (the Example Squad) is 2 million points of healing away from getting the third SG healing badge.
For whatever reason, he leaves the Example Squad and joins the Speculative Question Society (the SQS). Prior to this, the SQS did not have any of the SG healing badges.
Does the SQS automatically gain the first two SG healing badges, and have two million points of healing to go? Or do they still have none of the SG healing badges? Or it is somewhere in between? -
Well put, Chad.
The thing to keep in mind is that (outside of Devices, which is sort of the odd man out), all Blaster secondaries have at least two "within melee" attacks (by which I mean the targets have to be within melee distance. For example, Fire Sword is melee, and Fire Sword Circle is PBAOE. While FSC checks against AoE defense, it is still only targeting things within a relatively confined range.)
Also, no Blaster secondaries have any heals, self-heals, or major defense/resistance boosts. Yes, Devices has Cloaking Device. After attacking, it's only a 1.75% defense bonus. Given that Devices also has two powers which require placement in order to work, and no "within melee" attacks, again, it's the odd man out.
So, if the Devs were to make a new secondary for Blasters along the lines of a more natural sort of attack (as in no glowy fists, summoning fire, etc.) it would probably not have self-heals, major defense/resistance boosts, etc.
But just because they haven't said that they're making one does not mean that they're not considering it or even working on it. Stop asking for the moon and stars, and stay civil and reasonable (or some facsimile thereof). -

I think it would be better to discuss it here, where we can freely talk about possible synergies with Dual Pistols. For example, Targeting Drone in Devices gives a small boost to AR's Sniper Rifle. Do we want to look at something similar for this proposed new secondary? (And let's face it, there are Devs who are paying much more closer attention to the Dual Pistols beta forums then they are to the Suggestions forums, AND those are the Devs that we would want to notice this topic.)

Quote:Yeah, but he's just a boss level NPC. Protean is an Arch-Villain.Y'know, that's just made me remember something. We already hae an in-game shapeshifter!

A new and nefarious foe, huh?
Okay, I'm calling it. *ahem*
Protean didn't die when Manticore shot him with a disruptor arrow, and all this time has been building a force of shapeshifters (possibly cloned from himself) to exact his revenge on Manticore and the rest of the world. Protean has honed his own powers even further, and can mimic powers as well as appearances. These traits have been passed down, in limited forms, to his underlings.
Of course, I'm probably wrong. -
Quote:Oh, I know, we could put it in one of the beta test forums, which presumably, the devs are looking at just a wee bit more closely right now then the Suggestions forum.Wouldn't it be awesome if there was a forum for people to suggest things like this? Even if they weren't necessarily to be done for the sake of developer attention, but even just so the people suggeting them could have fun making suggestions like this, just suggesting for suggestion's sake?

Quote:According to the updated bio for Tyrant, he fought a giant Devouring Earth monster that had claws and tentacles as well as some sort of psychic attack. Now, the claws and tentacles part points towards the fact that this is not the "super amoeba" version of the Hamidon that our characters on Primal Earth are familiar with, but it is still called the Hamidon on Praetorian Earth. (The bio says itI don't know about being "responsible" for Hamidon but the giant monster we know of today as Hamidon was once a human scientist and it's not stated anywhere that Cole soloed Hamidon in his current state so it's quite possible he fought the human version.
I'm guessing that on Praetorian Earth, the scientist Hamidon Pasalima became a giant monster version of a Greater Devoured. -
Quote:Ah. Well, I'd hate to be the cause of such a misunderstanding.I only quoted you in my last post because you mentioned it being harder on a solo(1-account)sg, when solo doesn't really have anything to do with it... other than the obvious fact that you have to do it all yourself instead of having multiple people work toward credit at the same time.
It appeared like some people were under the impression that only sidekicked SG members count towards this badge, when that is not the case. I think I just read Ms. Mesmer's post wrong, which made me interpret your reply to it wrong too, so I wanted to clarify it. Sorry for the misunderstanding.
I should state that I find it difficult earning certain SG badges, not because of being a 1-account SG (or not solely because), but more because I only get to play during non-peak hours 4-5 days a week. -
Quote:? Arena Method? The new 1M healing requirement is cake to get these days, especially if you use the Arena farming method.. it only takes a few hours... less time than it takes to get the Supercomputer.
Quote:On a side note, you don't have to SK an SG member.. you just have to SK anybody while you are in SG mode. To do this with today's SSK system, you simply have to be a mission holder. The easiest way to earn credit towards this badge is host a few TFs or some rounds of Radio missions while in SG mode. You don't even need to have more than 1 member in the SG.
If you want to make the progress go even quicker, you can have more than one person in the SG host their own team in SG mode, and you will both be earning progress toward the badge at the same time, doubling the speed. Again, nobody else on the team needs to be in the same SG. -
It still irks me that when Stefan Richter "came upon a revelation in which he would use his newfound power to pave the way to a new age of science for mankind, officially marking his descent to evil."
What? Science is evil? -

Which means it's a pain in the rear if you're doing a 1-account SG. (Although not as big a pain as trying to get the Auto-Doc plans.)

Rats. I've got 551 merits, and I've already bought all the costume parts and the bag. Guess I'll just stock them up for future HVAS purchases, I guess.

I could. However, right now, I have it six-slotted with Gaussian's. (More for the six-slot defense bonuses then for the build-up proc.) If I picked up FA, then yeah, I probably would slot it for recharge/accuracy and move the Gaussian's over to FA.

I have a level 50 Shield Defense/Super Strength tanker, and yes, I can do pretty good damage... I have two AOEs (Shield Charge and Foot Stomp), and some strong attacks. When I pop Rage, I do a ton of damage for the next two minutes (and then there's the crash), but it works a lot better, IMAO, then Build-Up does. (Build-Up is usable for 10 seconds every 90 seconds, baseline, and Rage is usable for two minutes every four minutes, baseline. Rage has that crash at the end, but overall, it's far better.)
Now, yes, I do still have Accuracy problems. Nothing sucks more then having Knockout Blow miss. Twice in a row. Or not affecting as many enemies as I could when using Foot Stomp or Shield Charge (although part of that is from the fact that I'm generally fighting enemies at +1 or +2).
To be honest, to solve my accuracy issues, I'm thinking about re-speccing to drop the Flight pool entirely (with Ninja Run, I really wouldn't need a travel power), and picking up Focused Accuracy and Physical Perfection out of Energy Mastery. I wouldn't gain any net Defense out of it, as I couldn't six-slot both Rage and Focused Accuracy with Gaussian's, but the Build-up proc would have a lot more chances to trigger in FA then in Rage. -
Don't think you can do it. I know you can have the same keybind alternate between powers, but they have to be mutually exclusive powers (you can only have one of the two activated at any one time), like Combat Jumping and Super-Jump.

Any ideas on how to make something that looks like a conveyor belt? I want it as a decorative item (well, group of items) for a tech-styled base workshop.

Quote:If there had been an option to put hound dogs anywhere in the yard, I would have done it.LOL
I think to make it more complete, you'd need half a dozen wagons in the yard (with no wheels,) the house (with wheels under it,) and several dogs under the front porch.
Oh, I forgot, I also had an archery range (a couple stand up bullseye targets) in the backyard. The basement had a bar, a poker table, and a lot of beer barrels. -
If there is weighting for purples based on Archetypes (which I doubt), it's not working right for my tanker. Last purple I got was a piece from Gravitational Anchor. Before that was a piece from Absolute Amazement.
