    Time to play folks
  3. It's a passive that gives you health and resists
Hmmmm... I would NOT skip it

Vodka Tonic or JacknCoke is the way to go... ;-)
  5. Well seems like Umbral got it takin care of

But I did manage to respec mine to have Shockwave included but lower my defense by .6% in the process. Just finished runnin an ITF and I don't know why I ever dropped Shockwave in the first place... ;-)

edit: yea, I know... knocks them out out invincibility which sucks. But it's such an awesome power anyway.
The only thing I dislike about my Claws/Inv... The lack of Shockwave!!!

    Edit:
Sorry Bones... I have no access to mids so I can't really help you out here. Will try to take a look at it when I get home.
  7. Don't have access to mids to looks at the number right now. But by just looking at it, I don't think you are on the defense cap.

There's a few things I dont like how you went about on slotting some powers.

First off... 6 slotting LotG is a total waist if you ask me. I would go as far as 4 or maybe even 3. (Recharge->Defense->Def/End->Def/End/Rech) Or you could use Red Fortunes here for a cheaper way.
True Grit needs to be slotted for HP first thing, resists on it I would hold off if you end up with extra slots.
CI is nice and all but I would rather prefer ToD or Makos on the attacks to help get to the defense cap.
Would try a way to fit in Tough->Weave on the build... Tough will give you that extra resists and Weave helps you up on defense to again get to the cap.

Here's a build I used at level 40 to give you some ideas...

Note... This build I used to solos AV's at that level... including Anti Matter--- which was really 20 minutes of cat and mouse play... ;-)
  8. I'm gonna have to put in my vote on a well built scrapper here. Not that a tank can't do it, but it would just take a bit longer than a scrapper could.

FM/SD/Fire would be my go to on this...
Claws/SR with Spin and Shockwave (+4 get KD) is just gonna be tons of fun... ohhhh just can't wait
Claws-Fire/Inv would be my second option

I wouldn't go with anything Dark... just cause I dislike them... ;-)
  9. Well lets see here...

My very first character is my BS/Inv (Guin). Loved him, played him to 50 and then came...
A Katana/Regen (Iggy Kamakaze). Loved him, played him to 50 and then came out WP...
A Claws/WP (Devine Will). Loved him, played him to 40 and then...
A Claws/Regen (Perfect Weapon). Loved him, my fastest to 50 to this day and then...
A Claws/SR (Patrick Fury). Loved him, played him to 50 and then...
A Fire/SR (Burnt Vengeance). Loved him, played him to 40 and then...
A Claws/Inv (MW88). Loved him, played him to 50 and then came out Shields...
A Fire/Shielder (Back Hand of Doom). Loved him, played him to 50 and then...
A Katana/Fire (Iggy Wasabi). Loved him, played him to 50 and now...

Guin, Patrick Fury, MW88, Back Hand of Doom and Iggy Wasabi splits my playing time... ;-)
And Iggy Kamakaze is waiting for his new outfit so he could join in, It is my forum name after all...

But it was choice of either Cremate or GFS.
Didn't take me long to decide as to which to keep.
  11. The numbers sure favors Strike, but I beleive the stacking on FU was dropping while running that chain.

I'll run it on test when I pick up some time to play...
  12. GFS provides that heavy burst when I need it.
You could pretty much pick any 3 of the attacks and should be ok.
    I currently run Inc->FS->GFS->FS on my FM/SD.

Pretty sure my current slotting only has 89.93 so that's 94.07 needed from IOs and quickness. 74.07 recharge is certainly doable from set bonuses, especially with purples which I do have, but some sacrifices have to be made.

Good thing we get another freespec with I-16.
Have you actually tested that chain in comparison to fu-slash-focus-swipe?
Been awhile but if I remember correctly, the one with strike had a lower number when I did a pylon test.

Or was it just the oooggglynesss of the chain that draws me away from it...
Anyways I'll run a test on it again later on tonight and see. I think I still have a respec hanging around somewhere.

    scrapper numbers

    lol tanks!!!

Coming from one that has 4 in their 40's

    scrapper numbers

well that was my last for the night
I'll check back in in the morning
  16. Unlimited numbers of the power pools I could probably go for...

As much as I would love to just be able to pick stamina with out going hurdle/swift->health, gonna have to agree with Umbral.

Maybe the build is s/l def softcapped with one targets, giving him around 55% def when surrounded (not counting the brief double stack).

Of course, he is running 7 toggles (incl Maneuvers), so it seems like it wouldn't leave (as) much room for offense. Without that, the best one can hope for is a stalemate. (Which it seems he managed, defensively.)
    Right on the spot here...
Built more for defense, something I don't like to do on a scrapper but I figured I needed one.
The build still does around 170 st dps though.

You could herd tarentulas which is pretty much the same thing except they do fire sometimes.

How many defense do you end up with in this video ? 50% ? It's weird how she hardly hits you after connecting the first hit, but hard to tell as you don't monitor defense. I know she has some ~20% and ~30% defense debuffs on some hits though (resisted to 10 and 15% as an invul, but still), so I'm guessing you're either above the softcap or rather lucky.

Looks like you got her stuck in a AI glitch too, she never used build up in the parts I watched (did skip forward a bit though, so correct me if I missed it). I didn't even know that was possible without attacking constantly (like Powerforge discovered first). If it is possible to get her to not use build up without having to attack constantly, that does change things quite a bit - my own defeats at 48% def were usually after I missed the AV combo and then missed VS with its 2.4s animation, letting her pop BU and waste me.

Even with BU properly working I'm not saying it's impossible, but rather than it'd probably take so many attempts or such a focused build I'm doubtful I'll ever see it.

Though to be completely honest I didn't expect at all to see something like your vid. Nice.

I'm at 45% s/l defense with 1 foe in range.
She did use BU numerous times in the span of 30 minutes, and I think she used it once or twice on that video.
Well now I would love to see a FM/Inv take her down .. ;-)
  20. OK so here is the video for anyone that has 9 minutes and 24 seconds of their life to throw away... ;-)

    http://www.wegame.com/watch/MW88_Man..._and_a_spider/
  21. Now would this said FM/Inv be allowed to horde up some wolves?

    Was curious...
K now I don't really have a FM/INV, so I went in AE and droped Mantis on a mish full of wolves with my Claws/Inv... Been sitting infront of Mantis, 9 wolves and a spider for about ohhh 20 minutes now. Had to hit DP 3 times already in that span (And I still don't have any accolades). Now of course there is no way I could beat her down as I am only doing about 170 dps on this one and my Claws/SR that was at 190 could not even take her down.

Now I'm not really sure how much dps would a FM need to beat her but if the damage is there, then I think its doable.

    Edit:
well got bored and stopped it at around 30 minutes.
Did record like 10 minutes of myself just standing there... ;-)

    Gotta factor in arcanatime

    Slash - 1.584
    Focus - 1.32
    Swipe - 1.056

FU needs to recharge in 3.96
  23. after

otherwise BillZ would be spaming Eviscerate... ;-)

    I'm with you here.
But I'll probably shorten that up to FU->Slash->Focus->Swipe. My current chain for my Claws/SR, just gotta try to figure out how to fit that in on Energy.
