Now, by altered, i mean, my builds not exactly this, but pretty close.

My question lies in that, for some reason i feel like i want/can achieve more. Dont get me wrong, this is currently my go-to guy, the defense on top of the resists just throws up a flurry of "deflected" when i jump into a spawn. But i feel like somethings missing.

Can someone just take a look, and see what modifications would further touch the point of "awsomesauce".

Unbral-Ive looked at your build for claws/inv as well, and wanted more defense, so i chose Jaxman's build and tweaked it. I will post my own build after i get home from class.

Off the top of my head:

You can get more HP and regen if you 3 slot Tough Hide with Serendipity def/end, def/rec, def.

More HP if you 3lost stamina with perf shifters.

Get 3% more def to all by sticking the steadfast unique into RPD.

That's about it for keeping the build as is and just replacing a few IOs.

What's missing is shockwave.


edit: yea, I know... knocks them out out invincibility which sucks. But it's such an awesome power anyway.

The only thing I dislike about my Claws/Inv... The lack of Shockwave!!!

You know what Bill, if it means anything...I had shockwave, spin, and evis all cutting up spawns before i respected to follow this build.

Broke my heart to see it go...

55% +rech from set bonuses and Hasten would give you perma DP, which is going to render further +hp rather pointless and give you a nice buff to your hp/sec regeneration. It will also give you better attack string, but, you know, that's just me.

Here's the tweaked build I've done for you though. It uses much the same slotting as your previous one except that I've moved a few slots around to achieve better slot bonuses (re: Invuln 4 piece LotG and CJ 2 piece LotG got turned into Invuln and CJ 3 piece LotG), switched out the common IOs to manage set bonuses (Tough Hide, Health, Stamina), and altered some slotting for better effect (Follow Up, Dull Pain). I also turned on the 4 passive accolades, which I generally assume on any and every build.

It's now softcapped to s/l with a single target for Invinc, softcapped to f/c with 4, and softcapped to n/e with 7. It's got 32% more +regen, 20% more +rech, ~30 more hp with DP down (they both cap when it's up), and slightly better resistances all around.

Well seems like Umbral got it takin care of


But I did manage to respec mine to have Shockwave included but lower my defense by .6% in the process. Just finished runnin an ITF and I don't know why I ever dropped Shockwave in the first place... ;-)

Haha, i was running the ITF today, and completely hit eviscerate a few times thinking it was shockwave....lol

On a side note Umbral-Your slotting for DP is leagues better than what I had. I can already tell the difference. While running said TF, i popped DP, and by the middle of the next spawn, it was up again.

That aspct alone makes me feel more powerful

As lo, Umbral did speak the grand words of the Dulling of Pain: thou shall not slot Dull Pain with but 5 piece Doctored Wounds (all but Heal/End) or possibly 5 piece Panacea (all but the proc, only slot Panacea if you've got the global +rech to get it permanent with only 74% +rech enhancement). All other IO slotting set ups are inferior and shall result in slapping upside the head.

I always slot DP 3 numina, and 3 triage, granting capped heal/rech stats, and like 80% end redux stat. Bonuses granted are 16% regeneration, and 2.63% max hp. Now i know you're capped when dull pain is on to max hp, but i've found great use still by having a few hp bonuses here and there, which help you to hold off using dull pain in the first place so you can save it a little bit for its heal as well. Regen is going to be your friend as well with an invuln build, i try to add it everywhere i can.

None of my finalized invuln builds regenerate any slower than 1 tic of HP every 4 seconds. With physical perfection added every 3.5 seconds.

Yea, my first time around on this toon, i went for mostly Defense. I'm now seeing how easy it was to softcap, so now im going for regen. I can already feel the difference.

I'll tell you, when you are regenerating a tic every 3.5 seconds, on something like an invuln/shield/sr scrapper, its a thing of BEAUTY.

Regeneration bonuses, outside of maybe acc bonuses are probably my favorite bonuses in the game .

Even have a energy/ice/ice blaster build that regenerates a tic every 3 seconds, on top of having hoarfrost as a self heal, hibernate as an oh crap power, frozen armor and a few defense bonuses, and all the slows and knockbacks available to him, he's one BA Regen/ice armor blaster :P
