It's smart enough to know that when the store server is down and you have more than 12 characters on a server that there must have been slots assigned to that server. However deleting a character and freeing up one of the over 12 slots means that the game can't ask the store where the extra slots you have paid for or were rewarded are assigned (or not assigned yet) so voila, it's gone until the store is up. It's been this way since they introduced extra slots to this game.

Should purchased slots be like booster codes, yes. Is it a poor, at least annoying design considering all the store downtime recently, yes. Do we need 5 threads on this, no but I understand the need to vent.

Log in first with a level 20 villain and then try it, assuming you have less than 12 characters on your preferred server so you can create a new character.

Vampires Suck are from the same guys as Disaster Movie, Meet the Spartans, Epic Movie and Date Movie. Any three of those films combined probably cost less than Scott Pilgrim to make. All five combined probably cost less than The Expendables.

But each of those films tend to earn 2-4x their cost in the box office which is why the two writer/producer/director combo guys keep getting funded.

An HD 5850 is a nice ~$300 video card. Sapphire, XFX have fairly good reps. The price of the GTX 470 is now fairly close to the HD 5850 (duck here comes je_saist ).

Don't forget a good quality PSU. 650 watt should cover it nicely for a single video card system. 750 watt for Crossfire. I like Antec, Seasonic, Corsair.

Read the fine print (at Gigabyte's website) when dealing with Gigabyte motherboards with USB3 and 6GB SATA for Socket 1156. There are usually some kind of limitation when enabling USB3/SATA III support.

GA-P55A-UD3 and -UD3P, enabling USB 3/SATA III drops the video card slot down to x8 from x16.
GA-P55A-UD4P and -UD6, USB 3/SATA III will act as USB 2/SATA II if you are using Crossfire/SLi.
Only the extreme -UD7 supports USB 3/SATA III and Crossfire/SLi at the same time (3-way Crossfire/SLi).

Also remember that world detail setting affects more than just which objects are drawn at a specific distance in Ultra Mode. It also determins which objects cast shadows and are used in reflection.

Personally I hope they will wait two weeks to give the rest of us some time playing GR and to shake out any problems caused by stressing the servers as well as new bugs. The servers have been pretty unsteady of late and you want to be on your best behavior when new people come to visit.

Also without buying GR, old players aren't going to be able to get at much of the new content.

Just because SyFy back fills their schedule with Asylum films and low budget films made in Croatia, original productions like Tin Man, Alice, Taken or The Lost Room for example are rather good.
