What new zones have they added? I count 1 - Cimerora. And yeah, it's cool, but it's relatively devoid of content compared to most city zones, and it's higher-level content to boot. There's really no point in making new high-level content if your players start quitting because they're bored with the low-level content they have to slog through to get to the new stuff.
Hell, even if they do want to stick to exclusively new content, at least spread it out across different level ranges. Give villains a different zone to start in, a la Galaxy City. Give villains a hazard zone or two. Something. -
Yeah, "Defeat 200 Arachnos minions [just Wolf Spiders, not necessarily minions] to earn this badge." If you really don't have it by level 50 you should send a petition, I'm on my level 19 Dominator and he's just 25 defeats shy of it.
-
...I don't mean to be insulting, but are you sure you don't already have it? The fact that you're looking in St. Martial means you're probably at least level 30, you really ought to have it by then through normal gameplay (of course, all bets are off these days).
-
That's...surprising. Far as I know there aren't any tricks to that badge like with the Marcone boss badge (don't ask me which one I mean, I still can't keep those two Family boss badges straight).
How much progress do you have on the badge? -
The problem with changing the shark animations is that they're linked to Mako -- they're part of his Patron pool. It doesn't make sense for you to be throwing a squid at an enemy if the power came from a man-shark. They're Signature powers, once removed.
-
Someday I'll learn to stop scanning things and actually read them in full.
Yeah, that would be quite the extensive sewer system. -
I'm kind of surprised that you wouldn't get this without even trying. Eventually you should fight enough Arachnos to get it naturally.
Anyway, your best bet would probably be the lowbie Wolf Spiders found in Mercy proper on Mercy Island. -
Per http://wiki.cohtitan.com/wiki/Paragon_Dance_Party:
[ QUOTE ]
This original dance party was run by DJ Zero, who did not appear in game until Pocket D was created sometime between the release of City of Villains (issue 6) and issue 7.

Lackluster? Positron's Blast has accuracy, recharge and recovery bonuses, along with a damage proc. Admittedly that is the only one set out of the 3 non-purple/non-PvP sets that has decent bonuses.
-
...Neither myself nor Perfect_Pain are suggesting that CoH and CoV be connected? Besides, they already are connected, in several places -- the Midnighter Club/Cimerora, RWZ, PvP zones...
-
Change your difficulty level. On Difficulty 1 bosses spawn as Lts, just like in the rest of the game.
-
Absolutely. Although, I can't see how you could do this in a paid expansion since it would lock out people who don't buy it; would you have two zones, "Boomtown Classic" and "Boomtown Lite"?
Honestly though I would be happy if they just revamped blueside with all the improvements they made when they made City of Villains. I keep saying this and I keep hoping it will happen: streamline the blueside contact network. Add zone events to the infrequently-used zones you listed. Something. -
Might want to add "Calvin Scott TF removed for story reasons" to Issue 4.
-
The people who gave the devs flack for that are morons, that's hardly my fault.

You definately dont want to base the choice of a contact on what enhancements they sell. You never want to buy from them anyway. Why? They are way too expensive. Compare a contact "store", to a store that focuses solely on your origin, and then to drive the point home, see what it costs you to by the same enhancer at wentworths. You'll never buy anything from Ginger Yates again.
There was a time, like around Issue 2, that these stores were relevant, but that has long since passed.

All the more reason for blueside contact/mission system to be revamped. Too bad the devs seem more focused on introducing smaller packets of brand new content instead of improving the replayability of existing content. -
The very first toon I tried to make back shortly before Issue 5 was a Rad/Rad Blaster. I was dismayed to find those powersets unavailable for the archetype, so I made Elec/Elec instead.
-
Aku, what you described is the "Longbow Eagle Death Squad". I'm guessing this happened after you flew/SJed to the bank?
-
I did a Mayhem earlier and after completing the Smash & Grab had about 6-8 PPD (nothing like this, but I was on Difficulty 1) swarm into the Pwn Shop. I ran out and they chased me all the way to the bank; it took two red insps to fight them off. Something definitely seems off about the spawns.

Okay, here's my example. You have a recipe you want to craft. You need, I don't know, a Circuit Board. Common salvage, which you used to be able to get off the market for like 100 inf. Now you're lucky to get it for anything less than 10,000 most of the time. You can get it a lot cheaper, for less than 100 tickets, by rolling common salvage. But you need tickets for that.
Like I said, yes, it is optional, and so are IOs, but you shouldn't be shoved into doing one just because you want to do the other.
I just don't think the rationale for replacing drops with tickets makes any sense anymore. People are farming tickets anyway, why not just give them regular drops? (Of course I understand why this would not be popular, people don't want their munnies taken away from them, poor babies.) -
Permanent Contacts sound like Detective/Brokers, the only difference being that you don't outlevel them in favor of a Detective/Broker in the next zone. Seems redundant.

However, I WOULD like to see these leaked invention salvage whatevers.
[/ QUOTE ]
I really wish I could remember the name of the salvage. You could see them at WW/BM but I don't think they were actually dropping from mobs.
They had like cybernetic names and what not. Sorry I'm not of more use.
[/ QUOTE ]
That's Praetorian salvage. Presumably available in Going Rogue. -

I'd like them to add a "secret" room to the blimp, so we can go inside and look out over the zone.
[/ QUOTE ]
But if you can even get up to the blimp, you can already look out over the zone... -
Hear me out before flaming plz.
<ul type="square">[*]Tickets were added, I guess because the devs were afraid of people farming the Architect for regular drops. [*]It hardly needs to be stated that people are farming the Architect anyway, mainly for XP but also for tickets when there's no more XP to be had. [*]An unfortunate side effect of this is that people who play MA arcs exclusively only get ticket drops, which they spend only on things they need. Supply at the auction houses drops, and prices skyrocket. [*]People will argue "well, just run MA arcs to get tickets, and you can get everything you need", but then the Architect no longer becomes optional. Of course, anything beyond SOs is also optional, but IOs should not be inextricably linked with doing AE "content".[/list]
Tickets have destroyed the game economy. Abolishing them will by no means fix everything (farming of exploitable content is a separate issue and needs a proactive, permanent solution), but it would be a step in the right direction, as well as eliminate an unnecessary extra type of currency (inf, prestige, Vanguard merits, regular merits, tickets...what's next, Power Customization Credits and Going Rogue Tokens?).
P.S. In before "well you're just whining because you don't have any inf." I have about 450 million across 4 toons redside and close to 250 million on my main blueside, thanks, most of it "earned" through tickets. -
Spammers create new accounts all the time, a "known spammer" list would be useless.
Make in-game e-mails work in conjunction with the friends list and e-mail spam ends. -

Just wait until the end arc and solo Recluse. grr. That one makes Ghost Widow look like a warm-up pushover.

Lord Recluse is a kitten. Of course, it helps if you bring along every temp power pet in the game...
