  1. What he (Nightmarer) said! None of the first time scrappers should pick regen just because it's teh imba wolv3rin0rz reg3nning. Invuln offers a better challenge imo and is more survivable in cases like alpha strike and such.
  2. What you said about IOs, invuln is good for those too. Currently my kat/invuln is sitting at +35% rech and 35.5% recovery on top of that I got +10% aoe def, +10% neg nrg res, enough mez protection to keep me more than safe and also a nice +41% acc

    What I'm trying to say, even if many players dont play invuln it is good and that it can be IOd out as well without gimping yourself. Most just havent found out that, I prefer my kat/invuln to my ma/regen because personally I find my invuln more survivable in big teams! And who doesnt like having lots and lots of flashy effects going?

    Err.. Yeah, right..

    I love my katana/invuln invuln resists just go so good with divine avalanche. Also, you benefit from teaming as mob sizes are bigger and invincibility gives more def the more enemies there are around you!

    Best thing I'd advice is to try both, see which one you like the most. I've only yet got SR to 33 and like it too, although the primary set is spines so I cant say anything about divine avalanche + SR combo.

    Personally I'd take katana/invuln, always good to play rare combos (at least that's what I think) because then there's less people telling you how to build your character or expecting you to do something that build "should" do.

    Which is better?

    Only going to criticize the invuln build there having an invuln scrapper and a MA scrapper at level 50...

    1. You dont want to 3 slot all those passives. Really. Get some of those slots to get all your attacks 6 slotted.
    2. On my lvl 50 /invuln I dont have resist energies or resist elements at all. He seems more survivable with aid self.
    3. Replace flurry with hasten, you got enough slots freed from the passives to 3slot it with recharges.
    4. Dull pain has to be slotted 3x rech 3x heal. If you dont I'll sneak into your house at night and spank you with something sharp >.
    5. Unstoppable only needs 1 dmg resistance.
  5. I never had any attacks (besides brawl and the default temporary) on my ninjas/dark. Leveling him from lvl 1-50 was easy without any attacks and I imagine it might've been harder with them.
    As someone already said, if you have an active set (like dark or poison) it's better spend your time buffing/debuffing/healing than using the attacks.

    Kat/inv build

    1. The reason I planned to take medicine is pvp, I'm going to start pvp on this toon (or try to) when I get a dmg/acc HO in each of my attacks.
    2. I swapped 2 of the passives for medicine
    3. Both are needed for pvp, and I find them useful in pve
    4. Not going to get this, will eat way too much end when I have 3 inv toggles, tough n FA on.
    5. The THbuff in invincibility is quite small, nothing worth to slot imo. About 1% per enemy in melee range, which caps at 12% without slots.
    6. I'll still get conserve, it's one of the powers I find very useful (can run it with haste to try and neutralize the +end/sec caused by the +recharge and bighitters up more often)

    Kheldian naming?

    My PB is called (maybe rather unimaginatively) Avenger. It was the name I used to have on my very first character (an nrg/nrg blaster) which I kept until I got my second toon (kat/invuln scrapper) to 50 and then rolled my PB
    I've always liked the name, and besides, even now I couldnt think of any better one!

    I was a bit shocked on the blood elf thingy though, did I recognize lightforge armour on that male blood elf?!
    Just in case, if you play WoW throw the CD to the trashcan and send the can as far away as possible...
  11. About the mu mastery... It's mostly about getting powersink so I can drain end off the foes if I'm running low. Also, after blackstar I can pop a blue and power sink the peeps that are left standing from the blast.
    Also, I think blackstar wouldnt be that bad after an EM pulse to leave most of the foes held if they dont die.
  12. I wanted to create a corr that could debuff enemies to hell and also do some damage. I ended up with dark/rad/mu corr, this one looks like a really good combo for debuffing as all dark attacks have a -acc component and /rad is good for debuffing in general AND I get power sink in //mu

    A few points I will raise:
    1) TP is for concept reasons, wont take any other travel power
    2) I didnt take FA, I couldnt have my attack chain running with FA, quills and the 3 SR toggles. I could swap it with LBE although...

    Kat/inv build

    Well, so I've been looking at the posts here and I can tell something from my POW as a katana/invul.
    Tough and weave really arent worth the end cost if I'm running CJ, 3x invuln toggles and FA. I'd be running out of end in no time with tough and weave running there too, besides 5% def or the 15% S/L res wont be needed that much anyway, I wont be the MT!
    S/L damage is the most usual damage you will meet, and lethal is the more commomn of those 2, knowing that, I'll have 50% res to lethal and PvE cap def to it aswell. And I'm spending most of my time in melee where DA really shines.
    This is my current build, if you have to ask something about the slots or powers feel free to do so (bear in mind, this is also a concept build)

    Well you did confuse me with that one Avenger, but only because your build above DOES contain a ToHitBuff

    Your build is quite similar to the defensive one I had in mind.

    What are folks opinion on Crippling Axe Kick? I'm thinking of taking it mostly for the slow and -recharge, which would probably be handy versus tougher opponenets.

I've been playing an /invuln scrapper since I3 and I can say it's definitely worth getting the 2 passives, each give you almost 7% (which is about 1/3 of the elemental resistance you will get) resistance with just 1 slot on them. Tough is fine if you can find the space for it, weave isnt worth it in any case.
    I recommend getting the passives, but not necessarily tough or weave (posting a build later)

    2. Tough: maybe, I still wouldnt recommend it...
    Weave: never

    3. Get them, just leave them with the 1 slot. As I previously mentioned, they'll give you 33% of your elemental resists.

    4. Get it, it is really nice dps boost and brings up your only heal more often.

    All invuln powers: Well, you want maximum survivability dont you? I have played an invuln scrapper since I3 and I've had all the invuln powers since I5 and never regret it, never had tough or weave and never felt I needed them either.

    LBE: you want a ranged attack, especially with MA which has no redraw.

    Invincibility and other toggle slotting:
    FA: well, you can work out this one yourself
    Unyielding: This one doesnt eat that much end but I have 2 endreds in all my invuln toggles on my invuln scrapper to be able to run em with just a pinch of end left. 3 resistance is the best way to slot it.
    Temp invuln: your basic shield, 3 resists and 1 or 2 endreds, 1 will go but I have 2 in mine (well, I had like 10 slots that werent actually needed)
    Invincibility: This one may have got you confused. No tohitbuffs? Well, the reason is pretty simple, it just isnt worth it. You'll only get about 1% acc buff with an enh there. And about 0.8% without one (per enemy that is) so I didnt find it worth to put one there.

  19. I have some things I'd like to point out from your build:

    1) You dont really need 3x endredux in each power, 2 should be enough if you want to run them nonstop through any mission
    2) Drop the slots from combat jumping, it costs 0.07end per sec so 3 endreduc SOs lower the cost to 0.035 end per second, this is 0.035 end per sec for 3 SOs, definitely not worth it. Also the extra defence slots, keep the 1 slot in it which it already has but drop the 2 extra ones, you'll only benefit about 1% of def, again not worth 2 SOs.
    3)Invincibility slotting: As a tanker I would go for 1 endrdx, 3 defbuff and 2 tauntdur. You're a tanker after all.
    4) Taunt slotting: I dont really know much about tanks but I'd slot it 2x recharge 2x tauntdur
    5) Tough n weave: Tough doesnt need 3x endredux, 2 is enough. Also, IMO Weave isnt worth getting. It provides you with 5% def as a tanker, if you were to get it I would just slot it with 2x endredux and not put any defbuffs in it. 3 defbuff SOs raise it to about 8% def, that's only 1% per SO, not worth it.
    6) If you can, I'd add endreducers (at least one) in your attacks. After all, your attack chain uses more endurance per second than your toggles.
  20. Personally I'd swap taunt around with resist elements, elemental damage isnt that common and you *will* need taunt if exemped down to 22 more than elements protection. Also I would try to get aid self in a bit earlier and slot it with 3x heal and 2x intredux with an endred or recred if you can spare a slot for it
