When I am running at lvl 50 I use the Sweep & Attack Vitals combos, once you can get 1000 cuts power you can use the sweep combo. while I was leveling I stuck with the empower & weaken combos. I keep my second build with empower & weaken for when I exemp down, with the weaken & empower you only need 4 powers for both combos
Empower: Nimble Slash-Ablating Strike-Blinding Feint
Weaken: Nimble Slash-Ablating Strike-Typhoon's Edge
Attack Vitals: Ablating Strike-Vengeful Slice-Sweeping Strike
Sweep: 1000 Cuts-Power Slice-Typhoon's Edge
Gotta say that my DB/DA scrapper is my favorite toons, pretty much the only one that i keep going back to after I hit 50 -
You never "outgrow" IOs, You can slot lower level IOs (usually cheaper) there isn't a lot of %enhance difference. I think there is some weird formula when it comes to exemping. I think as long as you exemp down & still have the power you dont receive the higher level enhancements(above +3 to your exemped level) but still get the set bonus. so, if you plan on exemping alot plan accordingly.
P.S. not 100% on the exemp thing so dont sue me for giving false information -
If You want more than one control (or power) main you have to update your plot from hidden to secure. and tier 2 requires a SG badge then you have to craft it which then you have to "add personal item". It is not in the edit base options

Or, if You had a charge back on your account. If you called your credit card company & disputed the charge, they will beat on ya with the Banhammer if you do that

As soon as your "friend" buys & activates the game you get your reward, also works on "invite a friend back" if your friend's account lapses for 90+ days.

The early levels are cake, can get to level 20 in a weekend just running sewer & radios. I dont like the 30-40 grind, I have a few toons that I started 5 years ago that are still only in the 40's. between altitist & being a soloist the higher levels seem to take forever.

I predict I19 will launch approximately 3 hours before all servers have a melt down.

Also, I believe that your toon has to have been promoted at least once to get the "Big Bubba" star. If your rank is still the lowest possible (never been promoted) for your SG/VG I don't think you can get the star. I had a few toons in one dead SG & i logged in on a couple that hadn't been promoted & nothing happened, then logged in on one that had been promoted once & i got the star.

I saw this thread a few days after it was first posted & figured it was time I finally got the field crafter on one of my toons. I wish that I had paid a little more attention & documented it all but I am pretty lazy when it comes to that. I did eventually end up with about 150 mil profit some how along with about another 100 off of rares that I emailed from all my alts to get through the 1000 invention badge. in the end I had about 75 inventions to go to reach the 1000, I ended up finding the cheapest salvage invention I could find & just crafted & deleted. after getting the table I summoned it, basked in it's glory & now I don't want to craft another invention for at least a few weeks.

I am soloist, Ive taken many toons 1-50 without joining teams but on rare occasions. I have been able to enjoy the journey, seeing all of the content and not rushing to beat the clock or waiting for someone to figure out that everyone is waiting for them to get in the zone (usually i am the one that everyone is waiting on cuz i'm smelling the roses). I have not participated in but a handful of TF's & I could not even begin to try to recall what most of them were about (Scrapper-lock, must destroy what every I can target). everyone wants to just rush through the content to get to the end. As a soloist, I cant take the time to enjoy the content that the devs have spent years creating & perfecting. I know that the vast majority of players like to team, no one is saying you HAVE to solo. I just think that since YOU don't HAVE to solo, I (& other soloists) shouldn't HAVE to team. We pay or monthly subscription fee just like those that team.

Also, if your just doing storage bins & crafting table (not a vault) you do not need power or control. just the entry room, workshop(s), bins & table.
-
Also, make sure that you do not have any other windows under the email. Map, contacts, inventory......etc. I've had problems before with trying to claim the items & it seems like if there is another game window under the claim button it doesn't work, ever since I make sure all windows are closed

I tried that mish 4-5 times with my DB/DA scrapper, I usually run at +2x6, bosses no AV solo. first time I tried this mish, the room was completely filled with malta. Tried turning settings down, even at +0x1 no bosses no av STILL got wiped in no time. since then, every time that tip drops I delete or wait till the 3 day complete comes round

I believe that the only SG members that can get the red star are ones that have been promoted at least once. I recently got the "Big Bubba" star from my original SG in which everyone had left the game. I had 4 un-promoted characters that I logged in on just for day job stuff. They didn't get the big up but when I logged the one alt that I never logged in on but had gotten just the first promotion with I got the star.

Thanks all for the advice, I have sent global tells to the ones that have been logged in over the last 6 months, I did a test WW run with one of everything & they all were selling for less than 5000inf. so I think I'll wait till next weekend & if no response I'll just convert it to rare salvage so I can actually use some of the bins. Now I just have to find a way to get my other toons into the SG. If you are looking for a specific piece of salvage feel free to post it here are send me a e-mail in game @The Soloist & I will see if I have it.
thanks again for all of the advice -
Quick question, is there an un-written rule about salvage? I recently started playing an old character that was in a super group since the group started. When I logged in, I was promoted to the uber leader and all the other toons had not been logged in for about 4 months. the base is pretty complete but the salvage bins are over full with base salvage. one of the bins has 650+ items and the person that placed a large amount of them has not logged in in a couple of years. Would it be in bad form for me to convert all of the base salvage to rare & just fill the racks with that, or is there still a purpose for base salvage?

Sounds like alot of fun, been running solo for the last 6 months or so I need somethimg different. I havent played on Virtue much, but would be very interested in joining after the holidays. If I get a chance I will roll up a character & get in touch in game
