Which DUAL BLADES combos?

I have a few DB toons, but I haven't quite gotten down the combos. I don't mean I don't know how to use them, I do. I just was hoping for some advice on a few things.

1) Are there combos that are less important/useful and can be left out?

2) Are there powers that I can skip because I don't need a combo?

Thanks for any help you can give.

Every power is used in at least one combo, I can tell you that much.

The only combos I use on my db/da scrap are Attack Vitals and Sweep. I don't miss the others one bit, and didn't bother with them while i leveled.

When I am running at lvl 50 I use the Sweep & Attack Vitals combos, once you can get 1000 cuts power you can use the sweep combo. while I was leveling I stuck with the empower & weaken combos. I keep my second build with empower & weaken for when I exemp down, with the weaken & empower you only need 4 powers for both combos

Empower: Nimble Slash-Ablating Strike-Blinding Feint

Weaken: Nimble Slash-Ablating Strike-Typhoon's Edge

Attack Vitals: Ablating Strike-Vengeful Slice-Sweeping Strike

Sweep: 1000 Cuts-Power Slice-Typhoon's Edge

Gotta say that my DB/DA scrapper is my favorite toons, pretty much the only one that i keep going back to after I hit 50

Stalkers benefit greatly from Sweep, as it's a result from using the A-Strike and one other attack, iirc. If they all hit and the foes around you get swept, that deflects (or at least delays) the sudden and often painful "oh noes, a stalker in our midst!" alphas.

It really depends on the AT. Sweep and Attack Vitals are definitely the two better combos and from what I understand, those are the only two scrappers really bother with.

Tanks, however, are forced to take the first attack, which is part of the Weaken and Empower combos. Therefore, if you want the Sweep and Attack Vital combos on a tank, you'll be forced to take every attack power, granting you the two less-useful combos by default.

Note, they're not useless, I just find that I'm rarely executing either combo in favor of the other two.

While the combos are nifty, they are not vital to use.

I love Vital Strike, but I rarely bother with it unless facing an EB or AV. The reason is that the next-to-last power in the chain is a thing I have slotted with a +KB set. Now I loathe KB, and never more so than when playing a melee character. Yet the bonuses are so sweet, I live with it.

The problem is that that power with the +KB IOs slotted hurls my opponent away from me, and I have to chase them down in order to fire off the last power in the chain. So I wait till I have something resistant to my KB to worry about that chain.... but "VITAL STRIKE!" floating over my opponents' head is a pretty sweet sight indeed.... and even better if he has pals nearby.
