Quote:I think that Respec Recipes aren't worth the price. Not just with the numbers you gave us in your opening post, but at the Market as well.RESPEC RECIPE FREE METHOD

PURPLE RECIPE FREE METHOD

PURPLE RECIPE 1/2 FREE 1/2 PAID METHOD
20 days and 110 missions and 500 merits and 200 mil inf later = 20 hvams
PVP RECIPE (30 hvam version) FREE METHOD
60 days and 330 missions later = 30 hvams
PVP RECIPE (30 hvam version) 1/2 FREE 1/2 PAID METHOD
30 days and 165 missions and 750 merits and 300 mil inf later = 30 hvams
what does this fine community think about these numbers?
With just plain building your character halfway decently to start with (they allow us access to the real numbers of each power ahead of time), followed by freespecs whenever the powers change much, I don't see why there is such a demand for them. Nevermind adding Vetspecs into the mix or that third-party build designers (Yeah, I'm talking about Mid's, etc.) are available.
They could up the drop rate for the recipes a bit, but there's always the option of running the Respec TF/SFs. -
The only way to find these badges will be to be in the right place and be looking the right direction by chance?
I'm guessing that the only way most will find them will be by using the badge-hunting sites, reducing it from a puzzle project to a research project. -
Cross-posting, eh?
Yeah, I already made my little request there. I'll admit that I have very specific desires. -
I'm not sure why you would like the CoV AT's and not like the blue-side versions, but I could easily see why you would dislike the older blue-side content. (Yes, that discussion's been done before.)
Could you elaborate on what you like to play redside? If you like Brutes, I would expect that Scrappers would not be terrible. If you like Corruptors, I would expect that Defenders or Blasters (depending on your style) would be a reasonable pick.
Or perhaps what really stood out about Blueside ATs that made you not like them? -
Cole was warned that pigeons (either robotic or just regular ones with training) with recording devices would be used to spy on him, and to pass secret information to the Resistance.
Thus, no Windowsills.
Also, the largest of crimes starts with the smallest of crimes, including, but not limited to: stealing pies that are cooling on windowsills. -
It might matter whether current KB is figured before or AFTER the damage is calculated. If it's after, then you have little KB vs. Big KB, which would look cool. If it's before, then you might have little KB, then a Big KB, which might look like skipping a stone and look funny, in a silly sort of way.

I wish Huntsmen could unlock the different rifles that Blasters have. Specificly the Tommy Gun from the "Untouchable" badge, but others would be nice too. My Crab would go petless again for that.

Yeah, good luck. I got a 4 year old and it's pretty much only when he's asleep. I mean, I could just park him in front of the TV, but that wouldn't feel right to me.
When my son was still an immobile infant, I would put him next to the computer with me and play. He was napping while I was grabbing a Warburg nuke. I get the final launch code and he starts to stir. Uh-oh, I'm on a timer now, as I'll have to deal with him when he wakes.
I get to the rocket as he opens his eyes and starts to mumble. The loading bar for the clickie starts moving.
The rocket takes off and.........."Blllooooooorrrrrrrrrrrrt!"
Uh-oh. Biological Payload.
When he was one, I would play with him in the room sometimes.
I was in Siren's Call trying to grab badges. No problem, son is playing with toys. I've got my eyes peeled for potential foes as I tap the L key bound to "/loc". I keep moving, never stopping. Always vigilant, always watching.
Computer goes "click". Screen goes black.
Look down. Reset button on the tower is so shiny.
Now he's four. He asks me what I'm doing, wants to push buttons. -

Quote:Putting in a badge labelled "Unleashed" would either make Westley's head explode or inflate his ego to forum-breaking size.I call it, "Unleashed"
Basically what this Vet power would do is allow the player to slot SOs before they reach lvl 22. As it stands now, many people find the 1-20 career as very frustrating, this would just be a step in helping make people's experience less of a "chore". <Section omitted>
I don't think we need earlier access to SOs, though. The Vets should mostly know what they are doing and be able to get around feeling 'under-enhanced', at least when dealing with the traditional CoH/CoV low-level mobs. -
Quote:I support MEAT!There are two problems I could see with a Midnighter Magic EAT. First would be the acronym that would result: MEAT.
Could be worse, though. What if you had a pair of Tech EATs?
Quote:
Secondly most of the missions would involve saving Percy from various villain groups that he keeps getting kidnapped by.
Seriously though a Midnighter EAT could have a very cool story line that starts off with a hellion ritual goes through a few CoT cliches and eventually ends with stopping Darren Wade's plan. Midnighters even work for both sides since they accept both villains and heros into their ranks. -
1) I like it. Unfortunately, I wouldn't hold my breath on waiting for bases to get worked on.
2) Prefer #1.
3) This one is the most interesting.
Would cut down on trips to the vendors. Heck, I'd never go into a store again, except for the Day Job Badges.
Unfortunate side-effect? People accidentally vendoring good stuff. -
So, folks, what are some of the insulting or "You've gotta be kidding me!" defeats you've seen in comics/movies?
A recent thread reminded me of a panel where Codpiece defeats a policeman by punching him with a spring-loaded boxing glove.....from his crotch. The symbolism just.....ain't right.
And then there's Boba Fett. Supposedly bad-(Watch yo' mouth!) Bounty Hunter, taken down by a blind guy whacking him once with a stick, and having a very unlucky equipment malfunction that launches him into the Sarlac pit.
What else ya got? -
*Wanders through thread with Crotch Cannon and oversized boombox, filling bystanders with daylight.*
-
Hmm. Glad I kept that "Maybe" in there.
Let's go ahead and put Codpiece on the "Powers I Definately Want" list. -
-
I'd consider Codpiece, maybe. Most weapons have recoil when fired. If his does, then it would punch you in the junk every time it fired.
-
Tanks, for the most part. Exception: My namesake, but being Fire/Fire, he's more scrapper-ish anyway.
Controllers.
Kheldians.
Defenders, for the most part. -
Certain parts of Eden.

The Thing? I mean, unless you really want your own special episode on the Discovery Health channel, being covered in rocky growths would suck.

Quote:In addition to noting that you Do Not lose Experience in this game, (I'll explain later*) I would not that having villains capture thier foes would apply to CoH too, not just CoV.I had this idea that instead of dieing you get subdued and then arrested then you gotta fight your way out of it like a mayhem where you end up in a jail after you are defeated just a thought. This way you don't lose Experience but you end up in a cell instead. in COV of course
How many times has James Bond gotten captured, just so he can hear the villain explain his plan, then busted loose?
*Debt: Instead of losing XP that you've already gained, you have a brief period where you gain XP at half rate, but you still gain $INF and Loot at the same rate. Often, it simply takes a chunk out of Patrol XP and has no effect at all on future progression. As one poster put it "The only defeat penalty that could be less harsh would be to have a NPC walk over, point and say "Ha HA!" when you die." -
A round I-2 or I-3 I saw "Skid Mark" on Justice. White costume, single brown stripe.
