CoX Updater Running Slowly

So I've used what google-fu I have, and have come up with no answers whatsoever...

After installing Windows 7, I set myself to reinstall CoX (nasty virus, so I figured I'd just format and finally install Windows 7).

Downloading the updater, I finally get it working, but it's downloading at such a slow pace it'll take 100 hours to complete. I've got it running constantly right now, and I've googled it into oblivion trying to figure it out... but I figure I've missed SOMETHING...

Nothing else runs this slow, just about everything, including P2P torrents, downloads fast, including my Blizzard updater.

So what am I missing? When I had XP installed, the CoX updates came at like, 200-500kbps

okay. two questions:

Are you installing City of Heroes as a brand new installation, or are you re-using your old files?

Is it actually updating the files, or is it doing the file verification?

Fresh install... I reformatted my hard drive completely. At least it's doubled in speed now to 20 kbs... only 50 hours now.

It currently says :

Project City of Heroes
Downloading 30.8M / 3.6G 21.3k/sec

Well. That's weird. It now runs at 310 kbps. I didn't change ANYTHING since I last posted.

Started it this morning, and it worked. I guess... issue resolved?

Just did a new install of Rogue and getting the same thing updating the pigg files, like 22.4K throughput. Rest of the web is plenty zippy, so I don't think it is a connection issue on my end.

Ditto, I got it this week and last for between 50-100 hours on NA and EU downloads. Smirker, how long did it actually take for you? What was the average kbps?
