More info about CoV pre-orders

Playing in CoH, heroes can trade with other heroes...but can villains trade with villains? More to the point, when they meet, can a hero trade with a villain? Having traded influence back and forth among my alts, it would be interesting to know whether I will be able to give influence to my newbie villains!

Seeing as Hero and Villain teaming isn't allowed, I highly doubt any trading can go on between a Hero and a Villain. More to the point, as you would put it, Villains have Infamy. Not Influence.

That was the info I was looking for. So I add that "number" to my COH acct and that tells them to send me a BETA invite. Also how does this affect the fact i been playing consistently for over a year? Does it make a difference?
And by your judgement When would YOU think i should be in BETA at this point? Mid sept? early Sept. late Oct?
I am just curious and seek the light of knowledge.

When you get that code and add it to your PlayNC account that tells them you qualify for all the pre-order benefits they've listed (the helmet, 2-day headstart, beta invite). If I had to guess, I'd throw out a time of something like mid October for pre-order invites. Please note that that is a completely wild guess with no facts to base it on.
However, if you have been playing continuously for over a year as you say, then you could very well be getting an invite for that reason alone any week now. They are sending invites to long-time subscribers (12+ months total subscribed time) first and the first wave of that started just this week. This portion of the invites has nothing to do with doing the pre-order, but it also isn't guaranteed like the pre-order. The two types of invites won't effect each other either. I was in the CoH beta already when I received another invite due to pre-ordering the game, so if you get a CoV invite for being a long-time subscriber, you would probably receive another one for your pre-order.

Well, that pretty much answers my question, thanks...I guess I will have to earn my infamy the old-fashioned way: Steal it!
Here's a funny thought that might induce mass groaning and self-concious laughter. Female and male characters have different builds in relation to thickness of shoulder, neck, and skull, in CoH/CoV. Therefore logic would state that perhaps the words (Male Helmet) and (Female Helmet) under the pictures are simply informing you that the above image is the helmet on a hero of that gender...? Meaning perhaps that the helmet works on any gender, but you're only seeing one picture, and it might shape differently to accomodate a different body. Thusly... this whole ordeal has been a test by our Lord Recluse to weed out the weak and unworthy.
(Oh great Lord Recluse, if I am right, might I have a cookie? And if I'm wrong, don't let Mako have me...)
OK maybe I missed it in all my searching but How is the 2 day head start going to work. If its shipped it may not reach till actual street date(or later) and what if for some reason the stores dont have it 2 days prior to let us have it.
Are we going to be able to download and/or be able to activate the beta for 2 days and then when we get our retail copy enter the code to play after the street date?
Basically the "retail" code - the code that comes they ship in the full box - is an upgrade to the pre-release code in the pre-order box. THe pre-code gives you an account that is deactivated on launch day until you get the new code.
The client for the game will be the beta client.

Ok I pre-orderd COV but they did not give me a box or anything. Whats with that? I thought I would get a box or something.
Pre ordered from where. Did you ask for the pre-order box. Did they say they ran out. Maybe they didn't get it in yet. Give a little more detail and I can tell you what you want to know I'm sure.
So the pre-order disc GameStop gave me is good for the closed beta as well?
And I'm in agreement with others, having ordered from GameStop, I'm stuck with the female helmet, and that blows chunks as I don't play female chars. All the other other store locations are too far away for me to get to easily, so we'll see what happens.
I pre-ordered through the Gamestop website link on the CoV page. I havent gotten my pre-order box either. Has anyone else who ordered through the web sites(i.e. Gamestop, Eb Games, etc...) gotten their pre-orders in the mail yet?

Oh and to Ox- I preordered from EB Games on Friday and chose to have them send it to the store rather than me for the free shipping. I got a call from the store and was able to pick up my pre-order box this afternoon. So they are out there!
If I was to preorder copies from all the locations, can I upgrade my account with all the preorder codes like we could upgrade our account with the CoH Collectors set thereby getting ALL the spiffy helmets?
I pre-ordered originally online with EBGames. Called them yesterday to find out status and they told me they should be mailing them out this week. Called a local BestBuy and they said they had plenty on the shelf. Cancelled my EBGames order and went to BestBuy and sure enough they had about 20 boxes on the shelf. Pre-registered just a few minutes ago.
Could you please post the Best Buy link for me? I cant seem to find the item...

I'm sure if we could, the company would have promoted that like NCSoft did with Guild Wars. The previous CoH pre-order perks did not combine, so I think it is same to assume that the CoV ones won't either. I'd like to get all the spiffy helmets, too, but oh well. I believe Alexa mentioned that they may provide an 'all-helmets' serial code sometime next year.

All I knows is what EB Games told me:
"We ship to the continental US, Canada isn't in the deal."
I called twice to make sure, and it appears to be true... 
Could you check it up as well?

1.Can Anyone send me the Best Buy Link?
2. I live in Europe but play on American Servers(best) if i buy it when it comes out here in Europe, will it be playable on the American Servers?
3. I was going to Pre-Order to europe, but noticed that the free shipping was only free in the Continental Area(America) so i wondered, if there where any sites that provides free shipping to Europe?
