I take it the interest in this is lukewarm from a wider player base. If there are people on the fence, let me know if you have any questions.
The idea is this. X-amount of individuals are pulled from Primal Earth and Primal Space, and sent to Nova Praetoria. The Celestial Sentinels, a group of beings representing different colour spectrums has pulled these individuals who showed great will and determination, but also have shown resilience and the ability to strike without fear for themselves. The idea for these individuals is to take the fight to Emperor Cole on Preatorian Earth, preparing their heroes for their return to Primal Earth. From there, the battle will be taken to the Villains on Primal Earth, and to fight back any incursions from Praetorian Earth.
Let me know if you like the concept. The SG will be named the Celestial Sentinels, in honour of the beings that gave the heroes their powers.
This is the concept I am toying with. Any thoughts? -
Further Update: The idea would be to start in Nova Praetoria, as resistance to Emperor Cole, and sworn to protect Primal Earth. The idea would be to move blueside to protect Primal Earth. If you are interested in this, please let me know.
I am thinking either Sunday or Wednesday nights, 6-8(sunday), 7-9(wednesday), all times EST.
Update: Need to think about this.
Anybody interested, please let me know. So far we have:
1. Emerald Rampart (Me) (Def nrg/ff lvl 7 - Green)
2. Void-Star (Silas_Grey)
3. Victus Illuminatus, lvl 2 grav/NRG corruptor in Nova (Philly Guy)

Can you provide Archtype, level and powers, and colour spectrum you are. -
99.99 pounds for 60 fricking days?????? Are they kidding..............
-
My idea was not to limit the powersets, just limit the colour spectrum. It would be loosely based on the whole concept of the different Lantern Corps, but not be one specifically. Power is derived from each of the different colours.
I wanted to try it as a static group and see how it progresses.
I would be open to limiting the number of colours, but if we could get 8, that would be cool. -
I wouldn't be thinking of similar powersets, and not necessarily a Green Lantern Corps, but an amalgamation of all the corps.
The colours would be set to let say 8 different ones:
Green
White
Red
Black
Violet
Orange
Yellow
Blue
Part of why I asked would be to set up a static group with a representative from one of each of the colours listed above. Once he hit a decent level, let's say 30 ish for the first seven, then start inviting with the only stipulation being that power colours have to be one of the above.
Would people be interested? Not sure? Are there 7 others that are intrigued by this? Let me know. -
Are there are any Green Lantern Corpish themed SG's on Virtue? Doesn't specifically have to be GL Corpish, but could have heroes from all the different spectrums, whether they are melee or other types of powers.
-
Superstrength and melee for Scrappers.
Dark for blasters. -
Great ideas Ian, I back you 110%. Like em, love em, want em

I took Residentx10's post for what it was, an observation. I never saw any negativity or bad intentions, he was just commenting. In terms of being a control freak, most people always want the highest level person as the lead, unless they don't care. In this case 7 of 8 did, and they did what they wanted to, formed their own team. No problems, no issues.
It's all good Residentx10. -
Agreed Ad Astra, but one thing I will say. I play this game to pretend to be a superhero, and I design that superhero, and give it a background. I don't want to pretend the powers. Having said that, there are limitations, and we can't all get what we want. Colouring alone doesn't make something different when the animation is the same. Again, I only asked because it would give options that didn't necessarily mean creating new powers. But it's not that simple, I know.

Tips drop when you are running missions from either radios, arcs and so on. Where you access your contacts for missions, there is a tab for Tips, can't remember if it is called that specifically, but it will house any tip missions that have dropped for you.
While you are running missions, a tip may drop, and a message will come up on the screen. I have gotten them blueside, never run them as a vigilante though, but I am assuming it works the same. -
I was dissapointed with the alternate animations we received recently. I know that to do what I am asking would require resources, and probably more than just a few. It would be cool to have that though. I wonder if for new powers go forward that they create variations, that way, they only have to "update" existing powers, and not new ones.
-
How difficult would it be to have the current powers animations changed. For example, you could keep the old Energy blast, or could they develop new animations so that it reflects other types of energy, ie light, cosmic, or from other starting points like optic blasts, chest beams, wrist cannons and so on?
On a related note, how difficult would it be to have the animations be from weapons, like for example some of Life Mage animations, or the Nemesis staff. Is this doable and would the player base support something like this? -
Are they usually Saturday afternoons at 4pm ET? Where can I find a schedule, assuming one exists.
Nevermind, found the schedule, duh........
This thread has been locked at the Original Poster's request. -
By level lock, I am assuming you guys turn off the XP then and run missions only for influence? Is that what you mean by level lock?
-
On some levels I can understand Power respectification. On some other levels I don't, and in general don't support this. It does happen in comics I suppose, but not often. So people getting to 50 then deciding they want something else, can't say I am behind this at all.

Great Rock, 4 years, and 1 static group, which has been for the last year or so. Always good teaming with people, and have teamed with some awesome heroes. I love it. I solo when I want, I team when I want. There are lot's of good people on CoH. I think that's why I like it so much.
-
People sometimes just need to complain about something. Very cool look. Ignore them. Not worth the worry or time. As has been said before, Devs gave the costume pieces, so presumably they knew what they were doing. Done and done. Continue creeping people out.
-
I agree, it's kind of annoying to have to do that again.
-
Let's say I got a villain to 20, so I could unlock the VEAT, and that's the only reason why I have the villain. Can I delete that villain and still have access to the VEAT?

On Virtue
The Teammate Sonic/Elec Blaster
Scarlett Battalion - SS/Invul Tank
Metabolique - Kinetic/Willpower scrapper
Teammate was the one that really caught me off guard, would have thought that name was taken. -
I would totally support an issue like that, or an issue once a year like that. Clean up TF's, zones, contents for both blue and redside. To me there is value in that. We get new content and other things with the other issues, but once a year, content update. As for the bugs, unless it's critical, don't see the point. As has been mentioned, bugs always appear.
