If you need cash quickly and prepared to do repative actions for a short time, then you should also think about vendor running. At low levels it quicker and easier than trying to farm.

At Kings row, or Port Oakes, or somewhere with a contact to sell to close by (can also use a base autodoc) buy the junk recipes. If you in a hurry buy from level 30+ things like sleep sets, stuns, knock back etc. Bid stacks of 10 for 111 inf. The generic IO recipes get a better price but often less supply. But the level 30-50 DO/SOs and fill tray at same time.

You can filter for whats on sale now.

I normally aim to kill every mob between me and the vendor at Oakes too.

30 minutes of this will get you a good amount of inf.

So mostly after the 'meow times'?

I guess our anecdotal evidence differs. Which is why the plural of anecdote is not fact.

I also assume you're talking about the comments like 'need a tank to herd' unless the sewer selection thing is a lot more common that I've ever seen. What servers are people seeing this on?

The whole 'lets herd' thing I've only seen from older game time vets.

Certainly though complaints about people broadcasting for 'healers' etc are a lot longer than 6 months old.

I've seen it a lot on sub 50 missions, which pretty clearly rules it out from being from AEbabies PL'd to 50.

As said above, dumb players are dumb players. No need to single out one group for scorn when dumbness afflicts so many
  5. Darn, long post eaten by browser crash ): I hates that.

The fortune telling ninja are (seperate) powers from booster packs. Others include the mission teleporter to take you to the door of your active mission from anywhere esle, the gender/size change to let you do Dr. Hyde type transformations, then there's the ever popluar self destruction to kill yourself and close foes in a big debt free boom.

http://www.cohtitan.com has links to mids and cohplanner for build planning, and has the most current and useful wiki and all you need to know eg patch notes: http://wiki.cohtitan.com/wiki/Patch_Notes to see the details of whats changed.

http://www.vidiotmaps.com/ is going strong. Same with badge-hunter.com, and hero stats is another third party program thats great for collecting .. well data, it can also assist in displaying your character's badge count online in a really neat fashion.

Day jobs http://wiki.cohtitan.com/wiki/Day_Jobs are new, and are easy to gain temp powers or bonues from logging out in different spots.

Super side kicking has replaced the old mentor/sidekick. Big changes there is you now still get XP when lower than your level, and it also killed off 'bridging' as never more than a level difference between mission holder and you now.

Difficulty has also changed, your set the base level range of your foes and how many in your 'team' for spawn sizes (eg set mission for +2/x6 for a mission where foes are two levels highers and at least the size for 6 team mate even if solo. Its also free to change dif now.

AE would be new. Thats design your own missions is a surprising easy format. Lots of great guest author arcs as well. Often used for farming as the less travel time (everything happens within a single building) counters the lack of end of mission bonus. Rewards are handled quite differently in part to deal with the constant attempts to make easy to explotive farms. At times there have been well know exploits resulting in lots of people getting high level characters without risk or much time, which has lead some people to blaming any clueless playing to be a player from that time (think winter lord babies if you were playing then, or even further back, people who let tank herd maps for xp). But when people like Troy Hickman (oops I said the name), Mercedes Lackey, and PVPonline comic authors are making them its worth checking out.

You can now customise colours of most powers, which leads to very diverse looking teams in action now.

And probably lots more has happened
  6. Yes you can have up to five 7.5% recharge bonues from set bonueses (eg from Kinetic crash, or baslisk's gaze) AND have 5 x LoTG global bonues.

The LoTG is the exception as it is named differently to the set bonuses in KC etc.

5 KC plus 1 Balisks gaze wouldnt stack together.

You can check in combat attributes in game. I suggest copy to test

    pets in ae

You are not going to be able to be supersidekicked down to 1, and have your pets at level 50...is that what you are asking to do?

    What is Poverty?

Being unable to have enhancements would be my benchmark too.

Sometimes I get tells asking what to bring to which I always reply "Whatever you feel like."

Every once in a while I get a "Do you need a healer?" tell. My reply is usually "Sorry, just filled up."
C'Mon, I've seen your ads for Tfs blueside saying you're only looking for a tanker, scrapper, controller, defender, blaster or khled

And every one of your TFs that I've been on has rocked.

I have one really IO'd toon, my Dom, and I notice every bit of +recharge on it. Its great fun, but its purpled out because I enjoy playing it so much.

    Forced Ebil

To return from the ebil path, you need to buy common slavage and relist it for 15 inf.

Try not to make a profit this time.

    *straight face*
  11. I normally start getting IOs at 10. Mostly generics, but often kb protections, sometimes mez resist etc.
Most of my lowbies get played a couple of times a week. So is easy to bid at market and keep my slots filled instead of trying to change over a heap at once. Most times level 10-24 IO's can get got for 5000 inf. Lately I have been grabbing from SG base as well, but most times easier to buy than traveling there and back.
I'll buy high level junk recipes/SOs/etc to vendor if need be for inf.

Lots of set IOs I'll frankenslot at low levels (easier blueside but still possible red). Not for any set bonues, but for availabilty.

Only ever grab the degradable enhancements if rushing to a mission. Too much a pain to be upgrading, and seems wasteful of my inf.

Only IO out important main and played lots toons. Only really have a couple of those as time investment is a chore.
  12. If you have chat logs enabled, ahpla girl's global will be saved. Or you can keep trying
    /getglobalname aphla girl.

    Then either /tell @globalname, sorry about ...
    or
/tell alpha girl, Sorry about ....

But honestly, I'd just leave it well alone. Most unlikely you can 'fix' it (alpha girl sounds real young to me btw), and only complicate things more.

Plus if they read the forums ...
  13. *sigh*

Dont know whats worse, the stupid team leader thinking a sewers team needs XXX AT, or the mindless blame it all on AE without evidence or proof.

Always easier to blame a nebulous group

In my experience, its normally the older vet types that demand 'perfect' teams, tanks that herd, defenders that heal.

And sewer teams really aint become selective, you (OP) just found a bad one.
  14. My first cyst was in the sewers, that was fun on lowbies

A badge for killing them should make khleds welcome on teams.
  15. Being a reactivation weekend, you should log into your old account and do a lot of inviting now!

And then use your reactivated account to create characters to be in your SG, as you get a prestige bonus for first 15. Please make the throw away characters have names that other people are not likely to want, this will make it easier to boot them from group if you ever do get other people in and need room (eg called prestige-12sd1).

I havent seen anyone kicked from a team for poor build, I have for going on extended AFK or out weirding the team leader at times.

I've seen a few teams dissolve when faced with build/tactic dictators micro managing stuff.

edit: I;ve seen builds refused on teams, particularly for Master runs, but also the tired attiude of 'last spot is for healer/tank"

Oh, well I see that as way out exaggeration. Even in the height of the meow etc I never had difficulty forming mission teams, often found them extremely good teams too.

The complaints about it being impossible finding non farming teams I've heard again and again from farming in PI/Grandville days.

Ditto for the people playing non 50 content. Even less likly to be true so in light of how few people have 50's (judging by change in Epics unlocking).

That the zones with PL'd 50s are filled doing non farms (or why would it matter) seems more than a bit contradictory.

Maybe, if everyone on your global list was only farming, and refused to do anything else, and all you did was broadcast 'looking for team' in atlas and Cap could I really see the above happening, especially in recent times times.

I play on a virtue/justice during non peak US times which might have something to do with it, (though also play other servers/times just not as much) but I still see posts stating all of that as pure hyperbolic forum drama.

Oh, and re OP, just because a bug didnt get fixed, doesnt mean its WAI. *points to lots of bugs still not fixed*

Not that it will matter soon, but I had to put in a control room, & power room and the other whatsits to craft and run the computer.

Before I was running with just a workshop/storage base, so it cost a lot to get base up to running the SM SF.

It was a good base learning experience, depsite the fustration of having to follow back throuh the chain of this needs this which need this. And I heart my empowerment buff station now which I wouldnt of bothered with before.
  21. You can also go to tailors at vanguard.

There's always a lot of options for doing anything in City of X, many times the 'best' is only personal perference.

Dont worry about screwing up builds, a 'free' respec (as linked above) comes after almost every issue, and with I17 around teh cornor your character will probably get one.

    Welcome to the game!

How on earth did the exploit stop you playing the way you wanted?
