Now that incarnate trials were added, threads are the new shiny currency. It means even at 2x merits or merits + wells people will probably pass on WST now (unless its very lucrative and quick) and stick to incarnate trials.
-
Need a new co-op zone for incarnate trial gathering.
A new zone with a higher cap to allow for more people than Pocket D and RWZ. I would also suggest minimal graphics to keep lag down to a minimum. Something like the Arena where players looking for a particular trial can stand by while teams gather. An inspration vendor would also be helpful. Have this zone tie into the ferry/tram system for quick access. -
Kal SF was great! It had a good story and I had a fun time on that SF.
Sutter TF was awful! The Airstrikes and Teleport spam on Duray was over the top annoying. The Angry Ghoul bombs were also pretty bad too. Just what we need 0xp damage spam. Makes me want to avoid ever running a squishy on that TF. Actually, without some changes to Sutter, I have to file it under Cavern of Transcendence as in, never again! -
I'd take some free xfers for all this extra DT

I think there are lots of "winners" for most versatile. Some of my personal favorites.
Fire/Kin/Earth - Controller
Elec/Shield - Scrapper
Fire/Dark - Corruptor
Rad/Sonic - Defender
I think it really comes down to what other people bring and what you enjoy playing. I'm far more motivated to playing as hard as possible when I enjoy it. To me, playing something I don't like is more like work not fun. -
Don't argue with "Santa"
Its inexpensive because it has to be profitable for them to sell at $100. So unless you have a MB expert look over what was sacrificed to make it $100 its hard to say if its a good buy or not.
The board itself is so small, it only has 6 mounting points. Its not just a micro ATX board, its a small micro ATX board. Most micro ATX boards are the max size to still be called micro ATX. This board is smaller. As was pointed out, Sata ports are poorly placed.
Personally, unless its for a websurfing machine, HTPC or home server I would avoid this MB. Since you plan to stuff a 560 to it, I would highly suggest you consider a full sized board.
The most common mistake by rookie system builders is being cheap with the motherboard and PSU. Those are the most likely parts to break and often the case of, you get what you pay for.
Quote:Thank you so very much for your reply, Father_Xmas! Good to know the price is correct for its features. Now to figure out if the features are enough for what I need.
First, more terminology I needed to look up. (Yes, I am that much a beginner.)
Okay, let's see...
No CrossfireX/SLi - That's okay, I will only be using the one GeForce N560GTX-TI graphics card.
No unlocked Sandy Bridge CPUs - Which translates to overclocking, right? Great! Exactly what I wanted! If not, would someone please point me to a webpage I can learn about what locked vs unlocked CPUs are?
No IEEE 1394 - Google makes this sound like something used for TV Tuner cards and the like, correct? If so, I'm good. If not, I might be in trouble because I do like watching lots of online/streamed movies...
No eSATA - Google says this is an external SATA unavailable? I'm okay with that, as long as it can support the internal SSD, HD, and DVD drives.
Only two sticks of memory - Limited, but not a deal-breaker.
Only 4 USB 2.0 ports - Only four in the back is limiting, but again not a deal-breaker.
No extra SATA III ports - Like the eSATA, I'm okay without extras as long as it can support the three SSD, HD, and DVD internal drives.,,
Which... is all secondary if a Micro-ATX board translates to a too-cramped motherboard like you say, Hyperstrike.
But you think the board could still work, Father_Xmas? Even with the large GeForce GTX 560 Ti? And if SATA ports are blocked by the GPU, does that mean the SATA III/Sata 6BG SSD, the SATA 3GB HD, and/or the SATA DVD drives will not be able to connect to their correct slots on the motherboard?
My apologies for the continued questions, but I'm so confused! -
It would still be a big deal on vs the fixed Level 54s. A Level 50 vs 53, we know how that goes...
-
+1 level shift is only a minor boost so its not a huge deal. There isn't much pressure to get it.
However, when we get +2 and +3 level shifts then incarnates starts to become a big deal. My concern is that it will lead to "loot eliteism" where we start seeing "Forming X TF, level 53s only, pst"
Worse, calls for lowering minimum numbers for TFs since X AT can solo it since enemies con at -3.
Just saying, I hope this is carefully worked out. -
The Sandy Bridge are very good. Unless you need a computer today, wait the few weeks it takes to get one.
Need convincing? Read this.

motherboards>intel>1155
I saw 3 MSI and 2 biostar boards for sale now. I'm sure the other branded boards will show up soon(tm). -
One bit of good news.
The now "fixed" Sandy Bridge motherboards are starting to trickle back into supply. Get one of those nice Sandy Bridge Intel CPUs
That is all -
Cats are good at that. My Monitor is secured to the deak and every cable is protected to keep the cat from chewing them.

Hmm, I don't like the fact we have a hero only and villain only week.
Quote:As Beaststyle doesn't seem to have given us a thread in the Discussion area for this, here are the WSTs for March:
March 1st to March 7th - Alpha Strike (from Apex in the Rikti War Zone)
March 8th to March 14 - Soul of the Woodsman (from Numina in Founders' Falls) / The Crystal of Serafina (from Ice Mistral in St. Martial)
March 15th to March 21st - Time's Arrow (from Imperious in Cimerora)
March 22nd to March 28th - The Praetorian Offensive (from Tin Mage Mark II in the Rikti War Zone)
March 29th to April 4th - Following Countess Crey (from Manticore in Brickstown) / The Temple of the Waters (from Operative Renault in Sharkhead Isle)
Still no Katie -
If you feel its a ripoff, don't do it.
(That said, I think a 50% loss would be more reasonable rather than 75%)
-
I see some random graphic glitches with my 6870 under 11.2
On some maps like the Rikti ones I see invisible walls and flicker on some objects. On Arachnos maps I see flicker in those liquid filled tubes for the Spiders. -
The 460 is so 5 months ago. Get a 560
Its a better card than the 460.
-
Can you run the game in safe mode with no crashing?
-
This is one of the reasons why I don't run LRSF and STF often. I simply don't like the level of AT/powerset exclusions that go on.

That reminds me. A few days ago I joined a PuG RSF on my MM, since I had the time and nothing better to do. I was the second person to join, so I had to wait a bit, but eventually we got 8 people, we started gathering at the first mission door, the team leader was standing by Recluse... and then the leader sends me a tell saying little more than "sorry", and I get kicked.
I discovered later that a 9th person had asked the leader to join, and they weren't a MM, so they got my spot.
I can understand the hesitation about an unknown Mastermind player, but if I may brag a little, my MM is beefy. I'm also willing, able, and smart enough to dismiss and resummon my pets for things such as stealthing to the Slinger, and navigating Atlas Park in the present and future without drawing aggro. Then when I respecced to get inherent Stamina, I picked up TP Foe, which works great for pulling Vindicators or Future Freedom Phalanx. (It's not quite so good for the tightly packed lv54 aggro monkey present FP.)

It occurred later that it was a really awful thing to say. Everyone who plays the game has payed for the right to attempt and try to learn how to overcome any one of the challenges it presents. 'Keyed' content are one of the most obnoxious game mechanics I've ever encountered in an MMO. Not only does it restrict what a player can do in the game, but it lends itself to abuse and elitism.I'm glad there are other players who see this too.

The load time for the game is so long, I thought I was using a C=64 with that slow 1541 floppy drive.
OS: Windows 7 x64
Memory: 8GB
CPU: AMD Athlon II 630
Video Card: 6870 (11.1a)
Region: NA
Problem started last week that 19.5 patch I believe. -
My GTX 260 runs the game just fine with no crashes. Now the GTX 295 has complaints about it and I don't recall anyone saying they had the card working with no issues.
I think the problem may be limited to GTX 295 cards.
-
I know people who had boards with 6150 LE had issues with drivers past 197.45
CoH helper shows you have the 7100. Not sure how related they are but you could try rolling back to 197.45 drivers. -
I don't get crashes running EVGA precision with my GTX 260 under 266.58
-
Yes, the 5670 was the 1gb version. I was rather surprised it had GDDR5 memory. Even so, I would recommend not sticking the 5670 card on the acceptable list.
5770 runs the game fairly smoothly on the E6600 but the 5750 would have noticeable lag spikes on the same setup with lower settings.
You could also include 8800/9800 GT for Ultra Mode as well. -
Here are mine
1. Mayhem and Safeguards available in Oroboros
2. No more hunts! Remove them from TF/SFs and old contacts. Then create a "Hunts" contact for players who enjoy them.
3. Make the Shadow Shard a shared zone.
4. Fix bugs.
