Not only zombies, but other people too. I would think any band of desperate survivors would be attracted by the sound of a running generator, and they could potentially be more dangerous than zombies. Given the lay of the land, and the lack of any other man-made sounds, it seems like the noise that generator was making might carry pretty far.

Quote:Wouldn't the easiest way to get there be to enter the Vanguard base from Atlas or Founders and then turn around and exit to PI?And here's how youget to the vangaurd depot in PI (pulls down map)
Doesnt matter if you come from oro, ferry or base port, head in an eastern direction ( remember the island is angled) to the warehouse with the purple vanguard flags draped on the sides. Then go inside but dont go thru the portal inside.
Se you tonight.
(Vanguard soldier asks for ID)
ID....i got it here somewhere......ah left wallet at home
(door closed and locked)
HEY COME ON (bangs on door) OPEN UP (bangs on door)

What leads you to think the Rubber Man is Tate's father?

I want a powerset that allows me to transfer potential energy.
Someone is pointing a gun at you? Steal the potential energy from the shells and you don't have to worry about all those pesky bullets hitting you in the first place. -

If it makes you feel any better, when I did this arc, it sent me to Croatoa too and it took me three trips to the hospital whlie trying to run back to the train to remember that I was playing a Stalker. If I didn't already have the Facepalm emote, I certainly would've earned it that night.

Or perhaps he knew there was a zombie in that well a few weeks back and purposely sent them to it for water?

I've often wondered why the writers have such a love affair with DC comics. I've seen mentions of other comic book properties - Spider-Man and Archie come to mind - but 99% of all comics related discussions/gags relate to DC properties. I wonder if it's a licensing thing, or the writers think DC characters are more recognizable to laymen, or they just prefer DC.

Quote:Was just going to post that.Alyssa Milano went from who's the boss to movies like Embrace the Vampire and Poison Ivy 2 along with some others.
A few others examples I haven't seen posted yet...
- Michael Keaton in Clean and Sober, or Pacific Heights
- Robin Williams in One Hour Photo
- Tom Hanks in Philadelphia -
Quote:Looks more like Joaquin Phoenix to me.Glenn being a pizza delivery guy reminds me of the whole Castiel bit from Supernatural "I learned that from the pizza man."
And as a somewhat local, I can assure you that there are some parts of Atlanta that look, and probably are, safer after the Zombie Apocalypse than they did before hand.
And is it just me, or does that woman in the article Attercap posted look like Eddie Furlong?
As for Glenn & Maggie, they obviously didn't see any zombies on the way into town, and Maggie took a quick look around the store, so they knew they were alone. Plus, the horses would probably get spooked and alert the if any walkers wandered by too close. -
See you all at 7 PM ET.

I've seen a CoV cardboard standee as well as CoH cardboard standee in the comicbook shop, along with a Freem! shirt and something hanging on the wall that says City of Villains.
Also, while not CoV related, I think it's Howard who has a Lineage or Lineage II poster on his bedroom door.
I've wondered how well people who don't relate to the characters like the show. As an engineer who is an avid fan not only of comic books and video games, but also science in general, I love the show. However, some of my friends, who usually have senses of humor very similar to mine, only find the show mildly amusing. -

Isn't his son doing the strip now anyway?
I loved Family Circus as a kid, especially tracing Billy's path through the house/neighborhood, but I outgrew it years ago. Still, and sorry to go off on a tangential rant, but if any comic strip needs to be canceled, it's freaking Marmaduke. Half the time Marmaduke is same three tired, recycled jokes, and the other half the time it's like a random collection of panels that make no sense at all.
Anyway, RIP Bil Keane, you had a great run. -
If the world was ending, and one of the last available, living women on earth came on to me, the only thing I'd pause for is to make sure the floor was clear of broken glass.

After dragging this search out for three, or is it four, weeks now, we'd damn well better get some solid confirmation of that kid's fate.
My guess: she turns up with Merle next week. -
Quote:Not really. Remember, they wrote that message on the windshield of that car, so anyone else, including Mere, who happened to be wandering down that seemingly main highway out of Atlanta could see it and lie in wait to ambush them when they return.Hard to judge exactly since we only see Merle in the preview for like 2 or 3 seconds but I suppose it's completely possible that all we're going to get from him is a flashback of some sort. To be honest that'd make more sense anyway because it'd be hard to explain how Merle would have just been able to randomly find the group again like that. Having Rick find his family was enough of a miracle - having Merle also finding Daryl would be pushing it.

Why do you dislike WP, Starflier? Of all the defense sets I've tried, it's my favorite. It's mostly a click & forget set and it has a little bit of everything.
Also, I have a brute we could use when we go redside. Not exactly a tank, but should help keep Shakeup on his feet.
I'm digging GitG, but as weird as it is to say, the personality and background I've given him is going to conflict with our redside plans too much, I think. -
Ah, yeah, that makes sense. I'll try it tonight and see if it matches what I was seeing.

I've seen characters in Pocket D walking while looking to the left or right, but it always appears that my characters are looking straight ahead while walking.
Is there some emote or command that turns your character's head? -
Question. The plan is to go Vigilante sometime after level 20, but we will still need someone who is a Villain or Rogue if we want to do more than just run around the Rogue Isles street sweeping, right? If we want to do red-side missions I mean.
-
Quote:To question #1 - No. It would have been nice of him/her to ask if you could help his team finish one last mission, or something, but I don't see it as being in any way necessary.Do you feel the leader should have explained the situation when sending me a /tell?
And would you have quit the team knowing the scenario once you got inside the mission?
Or would that have been rude since I was qued that I was seaching for a missions team?
#2 - No again. My game time isn't so limited that I would have felt cheated by this scenario, but I can see why someone else might. I also feel it would have been rude on my part given #3, so I would've stuck it out for the few minutes it took to finish off the mission.
I rarely get upset about how things go on a team, because it's just that big of a deal to me. The immediate quit after the first mission would've bothered me more if it was an individual than a whole team, especially if they just quit without saying anything. The only other thing that bothers me is when people just arbitrarily quit in the middle of a mission or TF. I understand RL happens, but RL is not always the culprit. -
Here's a tough question -
In a zombie apocalypse, how many of you would abandon your pets? I don't know if zombies would respond to a dog's barking, a cat meowing, etc., but a poorly trained pet could certainly give you away if their vocalizations attract zombies.
I have two cats - one is normally quite as a mouse, but the other one "talks" incessently. And whenever I put either of them in the carrier to take them to the vet, they cry pretty much non-stop. I still don't think I could abandon them, and I hope I'm never in a position to have to make that decision. -
Quote:I was aware of that as well because I'm one of the 20% of Americans whose blood is CMV negative. Also, and not many people are probably aware of this, but they usually also do further screening to determine if your blood can be given to very young children. Carl would likely have been fine, but if it was an infant, there might have been some problems there.
