Nice! I decided to go with the Hami-O instead of the merits this time around and got a Peroxisome. That'll teach me, I guess.

Quote:1) Aim, Build Up, defense debuffs, global accuracy bonuses, accuracy slotting in attacks, Kismet IO, Tactics, Focused Accuracy, etc...Here a few questions:
1) Is there anyway to counter Parry besides popping accuracy inspirations?
2) What is the KB cap?
3) Is Energy Aura worthless in PvP? I've never seen one in. And that's probably why.
2) What do you mean?
3) Pretty much. It's all defense which means it's not all that good. -
It's because cages are considered a mez (god knows why, but they are). Still think they need to last like 10 or 12 seconds and be standardized across all ATs, and have the immob removed for PvP, but that's just me.

I'd do a cross and say Dark/WP, but if I had to choose between the two you listed I'd say Dark/Elec. I'm still not sold on Elec's usefulness for Scrappers but I suppose it would only be marginally worse than it is for Brutes (difference in resistance caps notwithstanding), and after the buffs it's a solid set.

Quote:Pretty sure they still have BNY mishes.Just from what I remember from last year, I think the elimination of baby new year is going to have a bigger effect on candy cane prices than anything else. I was getting candy canes and powerleveling myself like mad off that mission last year. I can't speak for others but the idea that the winterlord is just a frozen Reichsman on a timer isn't appealing
EDIT: But with the SK changes in I16 it means people won't be blowing through lower-level missions just for the reward. -
Quote:There really isn't the support nor the population to get a league started on Freedom, I'm afraid.Few union SG's said they were coming to freedom, and they are competive. I think we should be seeing some people starting more SG's/VG's and getting some stuff going. I think a Tournie or a League will give people the push they need and what not. We'll have to see what happens though.

No one PvPs on test anymore, most of the better players are on Freedom now.

Grats Uber. Haven't had any new billionaires recently as I've been focusing my efforts on one of my Fire/Kin trollers, who is now up to about 5 billion.

Anything with a few spare minutes every day and access to Wentworths/Black Market is a money-making build. If you're talking about farming... what side? What AT? What enemy types?
-
Nothing's changed since I13 except a few arena tweaks. Mechanics-wise, everything's in the busted-*** state it was in when you left.
-
Yes, you want to be kiting. You have less HP than a melee AT (except a Stalker) and no self-heals or real resistance to speak of (40% base plus whatever you get from your epic shield sounds nice but it gets DR'd quite a bit and you've got low HP to begin with). Your strength is at range, play it as such. Total Focus is mostly there for a finisher if you happen to be in melee range at that time, and it won't happen often.

Noah's Arc was very real, but the slot it was in got locked because the devs determined that because it was holding two of every animal, it was a farm, and because it allowed Noah to survive while the rest of mankind died, it was using exploits. In addition to having the slot locked, Noah was perma-banned and his characters were deleted.

Don't need, but it's very useful. As a Regen the only resistance you have outside of MoG is the free 10% base resistance - Tough adds another 16 ish which means you'll have resistance to all in the low 20s after DR kicks in. Kick is also one of the better attacks, and while I wouldn't take Weave, Kick + Tough is a good enough reason to take the Fighting pool.

Quote:I know I can do that, but I was wanting to avoid having to level a character to each range, which is why I want to be certain I can get both mayhem missions at will on a particular character.if I was going to park toons and not worry about the Grey areas
get a toon to lvl 6 - 9 park it
get a toon to lvl 11 - 14 park it
get a toon to lvl 16 - 19 park it
and so on
Thanks... can anyone else confirm behavior like this? -
Welcome to the US servers... we really do need more good players here, hope you have fun.
-
It needs acc and taunt duration, or at the very least acc.
-
About the only useful melees in team PvP are Stalkers. Tankers, Brutes, and to a lesser extent Scrappers are more or less there for disruption via taunt and occasional contribution to damage spikes. Simple fact is ranged damage is king.
-
Same goes for Speed Boost. You can turn PvP travel suppression off as an arena option, but then travel powers don't suppress at all (before I13 travel suppression was the same in PvP as it was in PvE), which means SB and IR aren't needed. Just be grateful you're not a /Sonic Corruptor, as that set got hammered even worse.
-
Yes... I know that's how it works the first time you get the mission, but after that I'm not sure if I will still have the 50/50 chance. For example, if I don't choose a contact will I be stuck with the lower-level one, or if I do choose a contact will I be stuck with the higher-level one?
-
PBU doesn't boost resists. The numbers you're seeing for damage types there are damage buffs, not resistance buffs (Power Build Up is essentially a combination of Power Boost and Build Up, so in addition to the +special you also get +tohit and +dam).
-
In PvP? Odd... usually regen buffs aren't affected by things like PB, but it might be a hold-over from the PvE aspects where PB would buff the heal ticks.
-
Could use the acc/mez and dam/mez hamis for at least part of it. PB won't affect Soothing Aura since it's a regen buff not a heal in PvP.

Woah, old thread. Farming Tankers, in a nutshell:
Everything else is better than a Tanker. That being said... some combination of Elec Melee, Super Strength, or Fiery Melee along with Shields, Fiery Aura, or Willpower and Pyre mastery will be okay. Compared to a Dom, Scrapper, Blaster, Brute, or Corruptor a Tanker will be slow, but they're workable.
