I would agree: minimum settings only. I did a search on your card, and the results looked like your card was ancient and out of date three years ago.
Good luck. -
I vote for the Widow/Fort. I'm playing mine right now as basically my main on all the Trials, it's a nice, strong flexible combo.
Note that AoE on the Widows aren't huge, but decent. Forts are ok, Widows get nice ST damage. You might consider a Crab if you really want AoE (I hear they're good, although I don't have one at 50 yet). -
This. Rather than Respec, just add a stealth IO to your travel power. They're cheap now-a-days, since you only have to do 20 tips to get two A-Merits to buy one. This is something you can easily do solo. If you can't add a Stealth IO, put a Celerity Stealth IO in Run and just toggle that on during the warehouse phase.
Also, stock up on Lucks from the medic in RWZ before the Trial, and use them liberally during this phase. It helps immensely.
Quote:2. Let other's take the aggro on targets first, you should be last to enter the fight. I can't say this enough. Use ranged, PBOE, Pets but don't physically get near ground zero. I have been successful with this.
In addition, expect to die a lot until you get the hang of it. Just go to the hosp in zone (they have lucks there too, hint hint) and get back in there looking for crates/containers.
Nope, not the Lambda or BAF. There are, however, plenty of +4 bosses that will hurt you plenty unless you take great care to avoid their attention. -
For auras, maybe Kirby Dots? (That's what they're called, I Googled it.

Quote:A question: I have a tanker with inulnerability/axe. I have a respec available and would like to make sure I am getting the most out of my powers and slots. Any constructive and thoughtful advice would be appreciated.
You'll probably do better in the Tanker forums. For what it's worth, I have a level 40 Invul Tanker who seems pretty tough. I could look up my build and slotting and post it for you.
My basic advice is that you want to take nearly everything from Invul, and slot it too. Three resistance in Temp Invul, at least two in each of the passives, and slot for Def in Invincibility and Tough Hide. Take Tough and Weave as well. The only power you might want to skip is Unstoppable, because the crash makes it really situational. -

It kind of squares with some rules of thumb for server populations: At any time, there will be 10% of your total subscriber base online.
Let's say 2500 is considered a lot, and 1000 is considered about normal. 1000 x 12 servers = 12,000. That's 10% of 120k, which is around where most of the guesstimates are. -
I don't really know you, but welcome back. Here's hoping your personal infos were not compromised.
Yep, incarnates and the new trials are fun. We started with Pocket D, but everyone seems to be in RWZ now making with the new trials. Team up and have a time. -
Quote:You sir, are evil. I like.I want to make Freedom go BOOM! I wonder how many instances of CoH my machine can handle and how many trial accounts I can make. . .
Step 1: Make about 10 trial accounts, with mostly Defenders.
Step 2: Log them all in and set them to auto follow your main w/ one decent buff/debuff/attack on auto.
Step 3: Rock the mobs world, auto self power level.
Step 4: Profit! -
When exactly did you leave? Here's a list of Issues so you can compare against the date you left and read up.
http://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Issues
Big changes since you left probably include a bunch of rebalancing and QoL stuff, including revamped Posi task force. It's now shorter and in two parts. You can also colorize your powers and often customize them too, like choosing whether fire breadth comes from your mouth or out of your hands.
And of course there's Going Rogue and the incarnates stuff. You can switch sides, there's a lot more merits to earn and new was to spend them (Luck of the Gambler is 2 Hero Merits, which beats the heck out of paying 100 mil at the auction house). New missions, revamped missions, and all the extra Incarnate powers and new task forces for your level 50's.
Plus ultra mode.
Over all, I'd say it's way worth it, and to get the Complete Edition of Going Rogue if you can. The extra goodies, especially the costumes, are nice. -
Quote:Second: All its animations suck unless your playing some kind of mutant. Bleh!
I agree with this. I had to work very hard to find a concept that I liked that worked with Poison's animations. (I later abandoned that toon due to lack luster performance at lower levels).
I totally agree that Poison needs some AoE. It's really just a clicky version of Rad. Something to make it a bit less button mashy would be great. However since powers and suggestions have been adequately covered, I'd like to mention a couple of ideas for alternate animations.
First, make some sort of mechanical gun that shoots darts (a bit like Archery) with the "poison" in them. They should look like over-sized tranquilizer darts. The gun should be kind of bright and shiny high tech, like something Crey would use. I'd like to see it use bigger darts than say the Widow Dart powers, and have a larger missile that sticks in the enemy like Archery does. For the cone powers, you can just shoot off several darts machine gun style a bit like Dart Burst does. For Targeted AoE powers, the "dart" can break open and "burst" when it hits the target.
Second, for those not quite down with the whole "I spit at thee" thing, make something like green Sith lighting that they can spray their weird debuff whatever it is. Something that just comes out of their hands like most other powers. This would be a good "generic" effect for many concepts. Being able to colorize this power is just about a must.
Thanks! -
Quote:Tactical Training: Maneuvers is the big one. Don't skip it. Both grenades are worth getting imo, but Venom Grenade is again the big one, take it ASAP.The rest of my powers were dumped into Combat/Tactical Training (although now that I think about it I could have taken a grenade too... oh well).
Quote:First, I noticed that fitness is a power pool, but my character already has inherent fitness. Are these the same?...
Second, is Leaping a bad pool? ...
Third, Is the Leadership pool a good idea?..
2. Yes, Leaping is good, the Def in Combat Jumping stacks, and Super Jump and Combat Jumping are in general good ways to get around.
3. Yes. Late in your build, consider getting CT: Assault as well as Assault and Maneuvers from the Leadership pool. You can provide a ton of Defense for the team (+20%?) as well as +30% damage just by standing around. This combo eats a ton of Endurance though so I recommend you take these powers last, after you're well slotted for Recovery and EndRedux. -
I've been doing lots of Tips.
I got my Fortunata to 50 back in March, I think, and I've been IOing her out. I finished my last Tip today, did the Morality Mish, and went to purchase my 5th Luck of the Gambler +Recharge.
She's now "done." She has about 172% global recharge (with Hasten) so that's basically perma Hasten (about 3 seconds of downtime) and perma Mind Link (about 4 seconds of over-lap).
So go me. Next I think I want a Crab, or a Tanker. Hmm.... -
Well, you know, which ever one is supposed to affect recharge...
The names are so "roleplay" that I can scarely remember what they actually do. -
Also, global recharge affects most powers even if you can't slot it for recharge. For example, global recharge affects Domination, even though you can't slot Domination at all.
This is the oppoiste of the Alpha Slot, which only affects powers that you specifically CAN slot with a given enhancement. I.e., Nerve in an Alpha Slot does not affect Domination recharge. -

I don't know if this has been posted or not, but I thought even if it has been posted a few of you probably haven't seen it yet.

I don't really think you should auto-power anything. Attacks tend to be the worst; if you target a team mate you'll fire off an attack at an inoportune time.
I agree with using your brain and using you keys. They work best.
Summary: auto-power neither. Both are poor choices. -
There is also the "complete mission" option on your contact. This is so you can complete a mission successfully that isn't working and move on. As long as important mobs stuck in walls don't happen too often: you use the "complete mission" once every three days.

Quote:100MB/ 3 hours / 60 minutes / 60 seconds =~ 9259 bytes per second. Which is in-line with the 10k figure you got, if we assume they meant 10kBps instead of 10kbps.I tested it with the CoX Client and in an evening (7-10pm), I used up 100MB.
I have an internet connection that does 150k bytes per second tops, and I'm fine. I don't think it's physically possible to use that much bandwidth while playing the game. And your hotel advertises twice that (unless you're confusing bits and bytes again. Actually 384Kbps sounds familiar, like a standard DSL number. It's worth about 38K Bytes per second.) -
Champion tends to have smaller populations of the "middle group" of server populations. Not too high but not too low either.
It's got a solid core of knowledgable players who run great events. BMT has some offically running each day, and unofficially there are many more TF, Trials, Tips and other teams started on its global channels.
It's know as the mead and pie server to some. And it's known as the drama server to others. It gets a thumbs up from me. -
