I assure you, the entire "Boxer" costume set was missing. I did try that.

Quote:-I have a character whose ability to even EXIST is a manifestation of his powers and his control over a specific type of energy. Removing that energy from him or preventing him from using it would prevent him from existing altogether.
Sounds more like a concept specifically made to thwart such a game mechanic to me, but creating a specific field that makes a specific wavelength of energy inert is possible but difficult to maintain. The energy still exists but its effects are made indistinguishably like other forms of radiation that pass through us every second and yet have no effect. You have to find a way to disable the device creating this field if you want any means of escape.
Let's throw one of my characters out there: Unstar is a sapient, anthropomorphic black hole. Taking away his power to control gravity would cause him to eat the entire planet. Still, I suppose you could still work around it by saying his powers are gone because the Crey scientists somehow were able to greatly reduce his effective mass... whatever, the mission concept does sound like it could be a lot of fun. -
Question: I tried that bind, and what happened was that I shift+clicked and that brought up the target. Did something change? Am I doing it wrong?

I wasn't for a moment trying to imply I felt entitled to a drawing. I just would have liked a "Noted" or something, just so I was aware you even saw the post. I felt a little at sea, that's all - I apologize if I came off wrong.

1/3 of my toons are already on Triumph, since I started there... so I'm game for this!

Quote:I'll remember that once I get her to 20. An over-shoulder mantle cape would really help with the whole "truncated" look of the head mask, but since she's like level 3 right now that's not an option for me - the jacket is there to hide the stark line between mask and skin, since the Plant skin option has no "collar," it's just bare skin on the neck. Once she hits 20 though I'll be able to use a different jacket, I was thinking maybe the mini-vest but I'm not sure, since the mini-vest is so neat looking. Maybe a tattered robe instead? I was also thinking about nixing the skirt.Tattered cloak seems like it would probably be more fitting assuming she's been infected accidentally or against her will. On the other hand, if she is some wealthy scientist who was seeking these powers and did everything deliberately than the classier outfit used may be more appropriate... See, told ya I was decisive
The idea behind the character is that she has a minor mutant-power control over fungus, so once she got infected with supercordyceps she was able to retain control over herself and take the fungus's abilities as her own, in return for which she supplies herself as a host. -
Hi guys. So, I'm not 100% sold on this one:
Her name is Cordyceps. For the nonmycologists among you, that's a disgusting, yet awesome, fungus that turns its host into a zombie slave. Like this. She's a mind control/spines dominator, with the mind control recolored browny-green to look like maybe it could be spores.
Any ideas? -
Quote:As the player of a lizardgirl and a catlady, both of whom are severely limited in costume options due to the necessity of scales/fur, allow me to say YES PLEASE. Also, pattern options for the various shoe options that show skin, like the slip-ons and bridal heels - these would not affect the shoes themselves, but rather the ankle body part beneath the shoes, so you could have a reptilian/zombie/etc character wear them and still have their feet match the rest of their body."Skin" as a separate all-encompassing costume piece of its own with its own color and patterns, which would show through everywhere we see "skin" today.
I've also got a Dominator who gets by on being deathly pale, but would dearly love to have the Zombie skin underneath her Leather top... -
Really? It should be a yellow icon with a shield on it. Are you certain you really did take it, and didn't choose it and then accidentally overwrite it with a different power during level up? Once you choose it from the Flight pool, you do have to confirm that yes, you want that power, and not one of your primaries or secondaries - after you choose a pool power, it takes you back to the power selection screen, where you can either confirm the power choice or choose a different power. I know that I have on occasion not paid attention and chosen a different power by mistake.

Quote:Sounds great!I think I can flag that emote to key off of multiple badges. Is there a badge villain side that would be an appropriate unlock for the dice7 emote?
How about the "Deuces Wild" exploration badge? That's easy to get...give you guys something to waggle in the face of heroes. -
All right, so, there are two costume parts that are only available to Heroes, since they are unlocked via badges: the Epaulets from the Task Force Commander badge, and the Witch's Hat from the Ten Times The Victor badge. Can villains please have a way to unlock these too? Especially the hat, I think.

I'd imagine that for some of them, it'd be the same reason I play male toons in addition to female toons: Why restrict yourself to only one gender, when it comes to creativity?
-
That is completely amazing. I almost want to think really hard on what characters I like that have amazing masks like that, and start a cosplay, just so I have an excuse to spend the money on one.
-
I know, I just don't like to use a token when I shouldn't have to.
-
I never thought about it before since I never wanted to use them at character creation before, but despite my having a 39-month vet badge, the Boxing costume options were not there when I wanted them to be. I created the character anyway and went to the tailor, and they were there - but that forced me to either use a free tailor token, which I have a limited number of, or pay in Influence that I didn't have. So, has anyone else had this problem?

Quote:Yes. Option. Meaning if you don't like that dropping a forklift on a guy knocks him twenty feet thattaway, you don't have to use it. Personally, I think it'd be freakin' sweet.I'm just saying what it would be if this OPTION (Op's term) was made available for Propel. I, of course, take "option" to mean that it is not the default and only manner for the power to act, which puts this in the realm of Power Customization. And Power Customization does not, can not, will not change a power's actual mechanics.
Now, if you want to ask for a complete change to Propel, period, so that the object will ONLY drop from above and change the knockback value to knockdown to be consistent with the graphic, that's perfectly fine. But that's not what was asked. -
That's nothing. Banished Pantheon shamans sometimes walk around completely nude until you get close!

I so rarely come up with a concept that I can get fired up over that this just hasn't happened yet. I have a grand total of one CoX character that I've developed a proper personality for and who I was excited about from the beginning (Unstar) - I have a couple others, but they're either surreptitiously based on existing characters, so new that I haven't been able to develop anything for them yet, or so far only roleplayed via having a funny accent. My real problem is not getting kicked in the pants so much as it's realizing a little too late that I only have half a character.
-
All right then, thanks. And to any PERC folks, I'm sorry I got a bit confused during judging - I hope I didn't disrupt anything!
