Last night I went and picked up 2 Synthetic Golgi, and 2 Synthetic Nucs and I think I'll go recharge/damage and recharge/heal for the other two slots. THIS was pretty big. It was notable, and as you said I am squeezing more out of the beauty that is Siphon Life.

As an after thought.... we are talking about some of the hard to get recipes/enhancements and it appears I probably won't get the Gladiator's +3 def because I refuse to 'grind' that much for one item....

So another thought came to me.... I used to design a lot of AE stuff before it became a ghost town, and I'm wondering what the best way to take advantage of the tickets I have saved up? Could I get something this toon could use? Or is it just random recipe rolling?
Glad to hear that I was able to help ya some.

I've been saving a-merits up on a character for awhile now, to purchase one of those Glad +3% def. I've been distracted, so it has taken longer than it normally should, but I'm up to 24 now. I was going to use it, but I think I will find more use from the money I would make selling it.

As far as tickets go, I tend to do Bronze rolls and craft just about everything that is moderately useful and sell it. I've made a lot of money this way. I also know some people redeem the tickets for rare salvage and sell that on the market. Level 35-39 will yield some pretty good recipes chances as well. Here is a chart of the recipes that drop by level range.

As far as slotting PT goes, I plan on putting the whole Lockdown set in it for the nice bonuses and I like the proc to offer even more holding power chances.
  7. I keep debating rolling an Archery corruptor, but folks that I team with have told me how awful it is, and that they were underwhelmed...meh, if I could pin down a secondary, I might just try it anyways.

I agree with this to an extent, but partially disagree based on having to miss several periods of game time due to deployments. Honestly though, I've not really thought much about it, and can't see bringing myself to expect special treatment. I brought this up more as a case in point of a circumstance that is out of a person's hands.
  9. Something else to mention as far as HO's go, is you can always run STF hero side or LRSF villain side and pick the Synthetic Hami-O reward to try and get some HO's that are useful for this combo. I have a bunch in my DM/Shield, and bought most of them, but I did pick up a few as the reward on these Task Forces as well. They are great for shoring up certain aspects of builds or for powers like Siphon Life that have so many things you want to maximize their enhancement of. (I six slotted Siphon Life with 3 Golgis and 3 Nucs and am quite happy with the results)
  10. I'm sure I can offer a villain for this, count me in.
  11. Its all about what you do with the powers...there really isn't a bad combo imo, especially if you're having fun.

    Apex + Traps =

    The answer is obvious: Adapt

They are finally giving us content that requires a little more strategy than mindless button mashing like people are used to....its not that difficult.
  13. Mine is currently 41, and I have a blast when I'm teaming with him...I get great joy from Wormholin' mobs on top of my teammates who use mainly AoEs....plus the ST damage is great for taking out hard targets.

  17. I have a Rad/Sonic, so the power selection is a bit different. I focused mainly on recharge, to get perma AM and Hasten, and have about 25% ranged defense. With the perma AM, I've found end issues to be much less of a problem then when I had a higher defense build. Also Enzymes are great in Rad Infection, 2 slotted it yields 57% def debuff, 66% end red and 40% tohit debuff....thought about 3 slotting it though.
  18. dougnukem

    Fire/??

Traps, Rad, or Dark would be my choices...my first Fire corr, I went the hard route and took TA instead.

I have Stamina, but the export didn't show the new Inherent one for some odd reason.
  20. This is what mine is looking like right now...nothing too fancy, but enough defense and recharge to make him plenty stout.

Some of the slotting is a bit odd as I went with some IOs I had in the base, collecting dust.

Catch is that I've already got the purple sets, but I definitely see your point. You need what..30 Alignment Merits for the PvP IO?
  23. I've been flipping through these builds for the past hour or so, and noticed something. The majority of them have the PvP Unique Glad Armor +Def.....I'm looking to maximize my DM/Shield without using that IO. I was curious if I could even come close to the high end attack chain without that IO? I've tinkered with Mid's as well, and seem to come up short. Any suggestions? This has me stumped for a change... :P
