Now that's a bridge I could happily drop a blonde girl off of.

Quote:dunno man, girl dressed up like that for me I'd probly let her give me a little friendly hit, and would certainly lie down for her.Perhaps it is: "Crime Does Not Pay."
And that has GOT to hurt the ego to get whooped by Miss Kneesocks there!
aaaaaanyway...what mission is this (so I can avoid it)? -
thanks Ravenswing, very informative, and a bit exciting. Gotta upgrade the ol Polital Correct for APB anyway, so no worries there. Nice to know this graphics stuff is optional though. No reason to alienate existing playaz.

Lol, Damz, I have absolutely no idea what channel or mods you are talking about. At all. Honest!
(it is getting a bit flippin' stupid isn't it. that said, some people do ask for it) -
Quote:Does anyone know if a duplicate costume power counts towards the costumes badges?Actually, The treat is determined before checking your tray. If the treat is an inspiration, and your tray is full, then you appear to get nothing. (Well, actually, you do get nothing, it's just that the system thinks it gave you a treat.)
It's the same way with costume powers. Since you can only have one type of costume power, if the treat is a costume you already have, again it will award the costume. But, if you already have it, it won't double up. -
Zombies killed my game a froze my PC last night. But I play on EU servers, so, par for the course really.

I probably posted more back on the old boards. New ones a bit overwhelming, and there's a lot of the time we really don't speak the same language. Television and pop-culture discussions will have crossover of course, but I'd suspect more of the EU players/posters to talk about the NFL or what was on TV last night in the US than even the same number of posters from the US (not even the same percentage) to talk about football or what's happening in Corrie.

I'm fairly certain that Firebase Zulu is just a normal military base, they just have some quite powerful psychotropic substances loose in the portal room. There is no Shadow Shard.

I've been getting that auction house Lost Connection to Mapserver error for months. It did get better for a time, but now it seems like 70% of the time I try to get WW or BM the thing crashes me to login. If I'm lucky, that is, otherwise it kills my game. I do find it better if I hang about the zone for a few minutes before attempting to access the auctions, but even that isn't a guarantee.
Recently I've also had problems getting logged out or crashing whilst zoning, as well as more crashes during normal play. Lag is bad when it's busy. Rubberbanding has actually improved a lot from what it was after one of the recent issues (Architect one I think) but I never used to get power-lag, and it seems annoyingly common now.
Not had much bother from real-money traders, but have reported the ones who've messaged me. Don't go to AE that much to notice them creeping about. -
we made a list, checked it twice and had stuff planned out to some degree on the old forums didn't we?
(by "we" I mean the Union-forumites. "I" didn't do much more than putting a few names forward me self) -
it is really stupid to get excited teaming with another player just because you've seen them posting a bit, or being active on a chat or badge-hunting channel.
and I do it all the time. -
that would be cool. All this stuff always gets destroyed, and the city spends millions employing apparently very lazy construction workers when there's a bunch of heroes who could be lending a hand in between missions.
-
I don't actually remember reading anything saying that we can't still play without buying Going Rogue. If it doesn't interest you for whatever reason, don't buy it.
I agree that villains are a bit quiet on Union anyway, can't say about any of the other servers. However, GR works both ways. You could take those villain characters you don't play because they never get teams over to the hero side and play them there. Or do all the new content which I'm sure will be fairly popular after the release, or maybe there will be a lot of folks taking heroes to the Rogue Isles and villain side will be more popular for a time? -
this is my new biggest reason to get GR out as soon as possible.
ML is a paragon of Paragon. -
I want a badge for killin' Nazis!
Defeat 100 5th Column in melee range (although not necessarily with melee powers) and earn the Basterd badge. -
My Ultimate Build is pretty much the same as my normal build, but a little bit younger and with more leather.
-
I'm plenty happy with the time required to earn the badges and the charges (and much happier since it became charges, as opposed to those which only worked for a time - WW teleport being the first that springs to mind) but I would really like an easier way to move toons about between day job locations. I've too many alts that I can only ever bare to take the time to move one or two every week or so...if that. How about a "temp" Day Job, which earned you a teleport to a Day Job location?

Quote:I doubt this guy managed to sign up for 2 different accounts. I'd wager he had help with setting up one.Holy crap, I must have teamed with the exact same guy the other day, there was a guy that acted exactly like that and spoke with the same caveman talk. Asking for the colors as well. So either we did meet the same guy, or there's an influx of WOWtards or something similar that were all "trained" with the same system.

Quote:Red-side Union is a pain to get a team on. But better no team than a terrible one.Easier said than done if everyone you try to invite says "no thanks" or doesn't reply. Seems to happen villain side more times than I could possibly count on Union server (EU). And a happy team is a team which WORKS. It's no good inviting everyone who asks if the resulting team just faceplants in every combat situation.
I've had rotten luck trying to get teams in City of Villains for either my mastermind or stalker, so after months of having to solo the majority of my XP, I've all but given up trying. Trouble is that villain AT's are more designed for holding their own than for group play. There are some powersets which are more team based (such as kins, pain domi's) but most are still very soloish. In contrast, hero AT's are very team-centric meaning you're more likely to find teams as they'll always be in need of a tank or defender etc.
It really shouldn't be hard to lead a team, but I managed to see it seeming like a herculean task today, as the PuG I joined at lvl 9 (with an 8, 11 and 12 in it) started getting lvl 15s, 19s, 4s invited to it. The leader kept Leeroy-ing and waiting for the rest of us to get into the mish before asking for a wakie or stuff to make it (at least that's what I assume the simple talk of "red" "blue" etc were...he may have just been telling us what colour of pills he was on at that moment) and he kept inviting people randomly into the mish. Eventually we got it sorted when we ignored his leadership and took it upon ourselves to work through the mobs. He then went AFK and said "please don't kick me" but whoever he passed the star too either did, or he disconnected. Can't say I was at all disappointed. -
Quote:my main toon is a trick arrow/archery defender. Healing is the most minor part of his effectiveness, as he doesn't have any heal powers, except Rest. he is ok at small groups of similar levels to him, but needs to take his time. shines in a team though, often one or two debuffs cause the mob to die before i've had a chance to do any offense myself.
The "Standard disclaimer" for Defenders in this game is: Healing is a minor part of your effectiveness, and as you go up in levels and in experience it becomes less important, compared to your other tools. Anyone who screams for a healer in this game doesn't know what they're doing, and will generally get you killed. -
I've got one in IP that seems to keep giving me hunt x number of Family or Sky Raiders mishs. Had 3 or 4 in a row now and doesn't seem to be an end to them.

Quote:wedding pack was great for my all-arrows Def, Monarcher. The tux made him look so fancy and up-market. The female pieces are also great, and I'll be using them more once more of my girly toons have more cossie slots.I thought the same, but it turned out to be the first one I bought, after I realised that I needed a tuxedo tail coat for Energiser, my bunny girl blaster.
What can I say... after spending enough time with the costume creator decisions like that seem entirely rational... -
today I learnt that no matter how bad a team leader I may be, I'm far from the worst.

1 gig of ram is sufficient for the game still, non?
I've 1.5gb and working not too bad.
