Thank-you citizens for the wave. You know the one. The right hand that goes up momentarily like you're taking an oath to tell the whole truth and then the arm goes back down as you casually walk by. It's amazing that you all do it exactly the same. It's like you go to "Super Hero Waving Practice" classes or something. And you do it all. the. time.

1. Do you have 3 missions already?
2. Do you have an AE mission up and you're in AE pseudo-TF mode?
3. Do you have too many unfinished arcs from the other contacts (look for the open book icon next to all your contacts)?
4. Are you the right level?
5. Did you go and talk to the AE guy like you were told to? (Yes, even if you had already done so at an earlier level.) -

Then post the results of these two programs in a new thread in the tech forum explaining your problem there:
- CoH Helper - it will show us basic computer settings and your CoH configuration.
- HijackThis - it will show us what's running on your computer concurrently with CoH. Click on "Do a system Scan and save a logfile." It will automatically open up Notepad and put the info there. Make sure Wordwrap is off in Notepad (Format > Wordwrap unchecked) before you cut and paste here.
NOTE: If you suspect you have a virus on your computer, then when you install HijackThis do not install it in a directory called 'HijackThis' -- modern viruses look for that and disable anything in that directory. Rename it. Also, when it starts up, do *not* run a report. Back out of the program and rename the HijackThis.exe file to something else (I renamed mine to Love.exe
) -- again, to fool the modern viruses that would stop it from running.

I can do the Viridian arc in under an hour, and in I16, its Merit reward is being increased!

The Mods were extremely grateful when I pointed out an Avatar which had caused riots and calls for murder that was being used on the forum.

Ever since the upgrade to the forums the board will NOT remember me. I usually have to log in like 7 times to get to the point I can post a message. This is getting really annoying.
I've gone through wiped out EVERY cookie an any reference I have to COH from my browser (firefox) and it still won't remember me.
This kind of fighting to get a chance to post a message almost breaks using the forums for me.
The best way to stabilize FireFox for these new boards is:
1. Delete all CoH cookies: with both city* and coh* names.
2. Disable CoolIris.
3. Reboot to clear all caches
4. Enter the boards with the http://boards.cityofheroes.com address.
If it still doesn't work... don't know why. -

Explore using the washed out or very dark or the pastel versions of the the colors. If you use several colors and they're all the same vibrancy, brightness, and saturation... it looks a bit like a box of crayons.

The Digests are showing Dev posts made in closed beta. Is this because this is a smart script that knows that I have access to the closed beta forums, or, is this a bug that's showing folks posts they're not supposed to be seeing?
