Yes. That was already mentioned 2 posts above yours.

As we are about to enter the first ghost mission in Croatoa...

Me: I've been practicing the ghost language... ooooooOOOOOOOOOOoooooooo.
Teammate: And what does that mean?
    Me: ooooooOOOOOOOOOOoooooooo.
    Other Teammate: .....
  4. They could always treat one as a normal freespec, and the other like a Patron freespec.

By the way, if I go ahead and burn one of those before I19, which would get used first, the patron freespec or the one from whatever issue that came from?
  5. You should be able to get Banker / Thief at the Vault in Pocket D, as well as Clubber, and Monitor Duty.

And even better when that random demon gets knocked on his spectral butt (Kinetic Combat Proc) or staggers around like a drunken ghostly sailor (Pounding Slugfest). This is, of course, referring to that "totally useless" (according to the O.P. in a later post here) Brawl power.

  9. Blessing of the Zephyr requires only 2 pieces for the defense bonus. Kinetic Combat requires 4. In other words, you need to work in three additional slots into the power as opposed to 1 slot in order to get the benefit.

That is a fair tradeoff, so no need to nerf the set.

Naturally, when you DON'T want it to reset, it will reset. I had CoH crash earlier. I restarted and got back in the mission in well under one minute and it had reset.

I believe exiting the game while in a mission (if you are solo) will always reset the mission, whether you exit normally or via crash.
  11. I think it all boils down to "Random number generator is random."

My PB (level 42) went through quite a lot of missions a couple nights ago before she got her first tip.
  12. My Electric/Electric Dominator has it in Charged Bolts, Lightning Bolt, Conductive Aura, and Jolting Chain. It has proven to be quite useful, increasing survivability significantly.

If you are referring to the police drone chatter, it is "Read 7-8-5, code 6, 105 north avenue", not the 132 and Bush line from Cops.
  14. The Arachnos Disguise from Agent G in Faultline.

If you have a bunch of missions coming up you prefer to stealth, go open his arc in flashback, run the first really easy mission, accept the second mission, quit task force. You now have a full hour of perfect stealth (perfect in that it does not suppress when a glowie is clicked).

That's what I meant. You should have been able to read my mind.
  16. I'm not positive, and can't test it myself since I unlocked them quite some time ago, but I think that unlocking VEATs simply requires getting one of the traditional villain ATs to 20 (Brute, Corruptor, Stalker, Dominator, Mastermind).

Doing it with a hero AT and then switching to the other side would not work. But running a Praetoria originating villain AT would do it whether or not you went to the Isles or Paragon.

I remember there was a discussion here in this forum about this not too long ago. Unfortunately, I can't remember if we were able to finally verify this or not.
  17. Here is a list of things that are affected by origin:

    1: Inherent power
2: Starting contact and starting foes (heroside)
3: DOs and SOs (if you opt not to use the more sensible IOs)
4: The Yin Talisman SOs you can slot as early as level 10. Different type for each origin.
5: For villains, the Demon Box temp power from Hardcase. Magic Origin characters summon a Wailer with it. Everyone else casts a Tar Patch.
6: Bonus damage for the 33 month vet reward temp power (Black Wand or Nemesis Staff). whatever is selected for the 54 month reward has no bonus damage).
7: Some of the text you get in the Origin of Power arc.
8: There is at least one mission in Praetoria where you have to disarm a bomb. How the disarming is explained is determined by your origin.

That is all I can think of at the moment.

Not really, since you can get those once you leave Praetoria. In fact, It's only the Atlas and King's Row missions where you would even be required to tag along with a low level hero or villain to get the badge and temp (and the Raptor Pack can be purchased in GV or the Shadow Shard anyway).

At 20, you can then do a set of radio or paper missions and get your Skyway bank mission. Then at 21 do the same for Steel. And this is really simple for heroes, since you can go to Faultline for your radios. In Faultline, it still only takes 3 missions to get the safeguard (as opposed to 5 in Talos or Indy). Do 3 at level 20 for Skyway, then 3 at 21 for Steel.

And finally, if you must have a Raptor Pack while in Praetoria, you can always buy the Jet Pack temp power at the Auction House.

Only without the dirty limericks. Right?
  20. For Therm O'Dynamic (my mutant lobster): Crey Fish

For Bugalicious (FF/Rad Defender), since her damage is so weak: Non Combat Pet. She set it before claiming her Red Cap pet. Now I just have to be extra careful to never click on any other badges in her list, otherwise the title would be forever lost.

For Kilderon, my Frost Dragon (Ice/Rad Controller): Snowbeast

I also like Bird Watcher for my various incarnations of Willowpaw (who is a catgirl).

However, despite getting the epic unlock message on the praetorian, and relogging the toon (showing as level 20 on char selection, as well as a lovely little villain icon) I am unable to make VEATs.

Should I petition, or am I missing something - (please dont tell me I have to go and do tips to fully reinforce my villain AS a villain...)
Is your Praetorian turned villain character one of the traditional villain ATs (Brute/Corruptor/Stalker/Dominator/Mastermind), or did you send a heroic AT to the Isles? If the latter, then perhaps that is where the problem lies? It is quite possible that the powers that be are looking for a villain AT at level 20 or higher in order to unlock VEATs? If so, then that should probably be petitioned as a bug.
  22. I can't give a definitive answer, but when my Dominator dinged 20 in Praetoria last night, I do seem to recall getting the big blurb about Epics being unlocked. If it wasn't then, then it was when he went on through the portal to Paragon. I can't remember exactly which vent it was that triggered it.

Sadly, I can't provide any further testing, since I already have been able to make hero and villain Epics due to unlocking them earlier this year.

Your best bet would be to simply continue working toward 20 and see what happens once you ding.
  23. I did the Yin scene too. Accuracies at 10, 14, and 18. Except for those and a stun proc, I did not slot anything else until 12, then all empty slots received level 15 generic IOs (20s for slots gained from 17 through 21).

Peacebringers get that sort of static too. A few months back, I was on a PuG team with my PB. We had this Tank on the team who was like a legend in his own mind. Very first thing he tried to decree as we entered into the first mission was "No one use any KB or rain powers."

I pointed out that avoiding KB was impossible with a PB, and I was not just going to stand around and be a cheerleader. He did not argue with me, and lucky for him, since I held the star and had the power to boot him at will. Mua-ha-ha-ha-ha...

He did start to get real annoying after a while, and I almost kicked him, except that he suddenly announced that the mission we were on would have to be his last. After he left, several other team mates expressed relief that he was finally gone.

I think I gave him 2 stars (1 star is for the worst of the worst), and made a note "Legend in his own mind" or something like that.

They should go away once you leave Praetoria, I would think. After all, as far as I know, Praetoria to Paragon/Rogue Isles is a one way trip at this time. So if you leave with unfinished biz, that biz gets erased from your docket. The Baby New Year and the Valentine Day missions (from Scratch and Ganymede work that way. Once their respective events end, their missions get removed from your list.
