MM Bots and groups question

Hey there! I was working on putting together a build that would give me a pretty solid solo and group option, and wound up going bots/FF. However, one of the first groups I got in I was constantly yelled at by the melee (and eventually booted) for knocking back opponents (I'm level 8 >_>). It wasn't until later I realized it was my little robots that were the culprits.

Any suggestions on what I should do? Those bots are my main source of DPS, but it does me no good if my future will involve angering every melee out there because they do their own thing. Help would certainly be appreciated , even if that help is rerolling.

Find a friendlier group. Bots do KB most people should be used to it.

Honestly, they should just stop whining.

Bots are a great set, if you enjoy it, don't let some whiners put you of from it. With bubbles though, later on especially, you might want to watch a bit what you do with your knockback bubbles. Just running off in the middle of a spawn with them up will probably get you yelled at some more.

Yeah seriously. Even more so if you have a bot/ff mm around why the heck can you complain when your not being attacked and you are soft caped defense. Just one guy means you don't have to IO yourself out to get to soft cap, well fairly close. Having a bot/ff is like turning on easy mode, which is why people hate to play them. Yeah I love mine when I just don't want to think anymore.

Only time I'd complain is if your bots were routinely knocking enemies into other mobs and aggroing them (and causing teamwipes. If the team can take it - even better). If not, you are free to keep the enemies on their back-ends. Honestly, It's like blaming the energy blaster... what do you want him to do, sit back and absorb XP?

Peacebringers get that sort of static too. A few months back, I was on a PuG team with my PB. We had this Tank on the team who was like a legend in his own mind. Very first thing he tried to decree as we entered into the first mission was "No one use any KB or rain powers."

I pointed out that avoiding KB was impossible with a PB, and I was not just going to stand around and be a cheerleader. He did not argue with me, and lucky for him, since I held the star and had the power to boot him at will. Mua-ha-ha-ha-ha...

He did start to get real annoying after a while, and I almost kicked him, except that he suddenly announced that the mission we were on would have to be his last. After he left, several other team mates expressed relief that he was finally gone.

I think I gave him 2 stars (1 star is for the worst of the worst), and made a note "Legend in his own mind" or something like that.
