Quote:That's the damage one right? And you're talking about your blaster?I'm all Musculature Boosted now. It's almost making a difference in the fact that nearly everything in the 50+ game has resistance to lethal damage.
Been debating what to do for each AT character; Scrappers and blasters or other generic "damage dealers" are more than ED-capped on Damage. And with IOs, just how much microseconds can I really shave off stuff? I'll probably be doing mostly the Cardiacs (end redux right?) with them for the hell of it.
Then there are the Trollers; with slotting, they can't really get more mez durations on 99% of what they use. A couple are pretty active where endurance becomes an issue, but I'm never without blues to pop. Most damage is done with the pets, but was looking over the stuff I spam on the fire/rad, and I could probably almost double my personal output with the damage slot. The fire/rad already burns through 6 - 8 man groups solo at a decent clip in relative safety; killing things a little faster is just laughable.
Accuracy is absolutely never an issue with anything I run. I hope that tier gets some major love coming up.
I'm at a complete loss with my MMs though. They already were Incarnate-level -

The respec thing is really bumming me out. I'm holding out for Mids to be updated, and hopefully it has incarnate slots/information built in? :S If it doesn't come out by Saturday, I'll just dabble with a respec or two for the guys I know what I'll be picking up in place with the empty power slots. A lot of guys I still don't have a clue what to fill with that will actually be beneficial to them; get to work on revamping the majority of power pool powers that are wholefully underperforming
Did two more unlocks, and yeah, it's kind of annoying to do it on so many characters. Only going to do about 8 I think for now; the ones I know I'll play at 50 so they can start earning shards. Others that I don't play will still be on the back burner.
Not entirely sure what the problem is with people saying they need help on the unlock arc; solo'd 3 times at +0/x1 (for brevity's sake) on a Scrapper, blaster and troller. None of the "hard" fights took more than 2 minutes. I have a Shade, Defender, and Tank I'll be taking through and they are the only ones that might have issue? Though the defender will be the safest of them all; the Tank's damage output might be a problem
Apex TF Friday night? -

Quote:Yes, it shows up as regular values. I'd like to see the break down of how much you are actually getting from the Incarnate slotted; ie, already at 99% recharge (and in a different color) the recharge added to it from the Shard.Shards -> Components -> Boosts -> (specific boost) Spiritual Radial Boost, etc.
That's what I'll be using, anyway.
After yesterday, unlocked 2 alpha slots, and got 1 shard shy of the Spiritual Radial Boost for Ele. Voo, the enhancement value given by the boost does show up in your enhancements window. I have BU 2 slotted with recharges (should be about 83%). BU is sitting on 102.3%. Seeing what the boost does is given to you in the window, just like added SOs.
The rest of the week will be dominated by schoolwork and workwork. Not happy about this >:[
When I get the next tier going, it'll be easier to see the difference in green numbers for heals. Recharge is just a stubborn *****
Not sure I like that naming convention. I shall create something wholly different, useful, and more confusing to the lesser folk. -
What happened to your "3 shards in ten minutes! This is fantastic!"
-
So with a full day/night of putting it through it's paces, what do you think of the new shinies?
I did 2 TFs, so got 2 of those shards. Wound up with, I think, 18 total common shard drops during that time (also got my first purple in about a month!). I crafted the common Spiritual enhancer, and was 2 common shards shy of crafting the Heal/Recharge. Thought about staying up longer to see if I could get those 2 drops quickly, but didn't want to start getting into that habit. I think the drop rate for the shards was pretty decent overall, but not sure if it was skewed due to being TFs. If the common drops keep that rate for regular missions (based on mob size/# of bosses and LTs), those who don't team/do TFs shouldn't be too far off soloing their way into crafting the needed pieces for the various enhancers.
It's new, but I'm at a loss as to what really call these things. Between common/uncommon shards, and common/uncommon Incarnate....ehancers? Then there will be the rare/ultra rare. And then eventually 10 different *types* of Incarnate slots altogether. I think for now I'm going with shards=common drops, uncommon shards=TF/crafted salvage parts, Incarnates=the actual crafted enhancers.
Or I'll wait to see what Mental goes with and just copy him.
Oh, and I still hate the 1/6th crap and the values aren't that easy to keep track of to see what they are really doing when slotted; Might be easier once Mids is updated, but would like to see these values highlighted within the power info in the game IMO. -

Should be around if you need an extra body. Otherwise just putzing around on other things.

The set-in-stone is in regard to you being adamant about having to shard up ALL your characters. I just don't think it's necessary. If it's something you WANT to do, that's fine, but it's not something being forced in-game.

Quote:Shards from level 50 or higher mobs. Can't repeat the same TF on that character; people with dozens of characters to alpha out will need to run LGTF's back to back.
Of course, that's assuming the Shard drop rate isn't improved and allows people to bypass the TF "requirement." You can get Shards from any level of mob, correct?
Your set-in-stone mentality of this is mind-boggling. I believe you have a text book case of OCD/control freakism. -
Quote:Not going to speak for anyone else but me......but so what? It's not really my playstyle, hence the "I don't see a problem". I don't see this as a fundamental change to the way the game is played (ie IOs, ED, Troller changes, etc). At least not with I19. Almost everyone is going to be busy with the new shinies for some X amount of time, just like any other issue.Look at it this way: if everyone is busy Alphaing out their 50s and running the new TFs, who's going to be left to team with in the sub-50 game? Will groups like Isolators have a place in the New World Order? Attica Attica!!
But for a group like Isolators, who go the distance together, from the beginning.......I don't think it'll effect it at all? -
Quote:I guess I just don't see this....unless people REALLY feel like they HAVE to roid-out ALL their 50s? On top of respeccing every character they have?*DC, for me, SHamster is closest to what I am thinking. I liked the flexibility in this game and starting to see change. I didn't need to be all decked out in purples or require stone tanks for every TF and so forth. Incarnated without any doubt will change that. Two TFs for now, but that is one slot so far. Nine more to go. I'll run the new arc and some TFs as time permits, but I only see me getting a couple of toons done by the holidays.
Anyhow, I liked that I could jump on any toon and just play to relax. Now that won't happen anymore.
It may take a *little* longer to get shards doing the *regular* stuff that is still there, but it is doable (at least for I19, anything after this is anybody's guess). So if you feel like you have to roid-up everything you got, you really don't have to be pigeon-holed into just running the end-game TFs. Yes, it'd be faster, but it's not outside the realm of casual play.
And if you aren't interested in Incarnates and do want to still make new alts like there is no tomorrow, nothing has changed there.
And on top of all of that, you can still join a team doing the new TFs without doing the alpha slot; personally, a team shouldn't have more than 1 on the team like this, but with team buffs going and smart play, it really wouldn't be that much of a hindrance.
*Respecs suck, yes. But just because fitness went inherent (and hasten can't be far behind), does not mean you have to respec every character you have. Personally, a lot of my characters are NOT going to be able to pick up any useful power (up to 3! My mains are already at the max of a lot of bonus stats even) to them if I go this route, and that's from the characters I still play actively. Time/effort versus payout is my main motivation.
I might be alone in thinking I wish they had started this path a long time ago. I would have rather focused on select few characters with some actual point to running them at their peak then getting bored and waiting, making random alts that I can't possibly have time to play with any significance. /2 cents -

Quote:heh just now saw your post in general; I don't think I've been there more than twice in the past 2 months.I saw that this morning. It looks like the issue was fixed in a recent patch, but we may not be getting I19 today.
You were on top of things. But I was thinking of you -
Quote:...... I see Penny in a whole new lightlots of acroynms and raid talk
And that is how I am seeing Incarnates. The opening arc will already be a pain to a few toons not set up to solo EB/AVs. Then getting the shards to craft to fill the slot. I am dreading to see what the next 9 slots will be. And if I don't, then those toons can't jump into new TFs and other goodies the devs are planning.
Eh, anyhow, just starting to look more chore like to me. The journey to 50 is what the game is about, but with hints of End Game coming, the journey doesn't look as fun any more.
Enough of me rambling. Got to get happy!I kind of know what she is talking about, but I never would have imagined this from her.
Kind of mentioned it before, but I think starting with the alignment merits, and now Incarnate slots, they are focusing heavily on the end-game from now until X issue with the last of the new slots. I know it's steered me from creating alts; I've played 1 non-50 character to 50 since I18 came out with any amount of real time on it and have only dabbled in Preatoria. With I19, it'll force me to focus on a very select few 50s and probably no new alts whatsoever, with only a minor dabbling on baby characters I started and didn't do anything with.
I can't say that's good or bad, but I imagine if you're heavy into making "new stuff", it'll probably put a damper on it and make the whole ordeal arduous/must-be-complete instead of something to look forward to.
I just hope there are NO MORE #!@$@#$!%@#$%@# exploration badges after this. -
Quote:I thought you mentioned respeccing, but hopefully you've kept up with the patch note discussions regarding Khelds and respecs (and from how I'm reading it, just overall issues with Khelds and powers overall). I was thinking of you.I'm pretty sure I want to Alpha my all-human Warshade first, although I'm not exactly sure which boost to go for. I might do the recharge one.
.
Don't think there is an issue with incarnate slots however. -
So the auction isn't over......
-
-
Quote:I don't have any recommendations for future auctions, I think it went extremely well, although some people were suspicious about the winners of the random prizes. Oh the naysayers.
Apparently I won two random prizes, but I had already logged for the night before receiving the second one.
I bought a MoLRSF. I didn't even need that really, but like MP said its about charity. I hardly play redside! I guess my new redside character, Enchantress, will eventually have a MoLRSF badge :PQuote:Hey! You forgot about me!!!
Anyhow, sounded like a fun time. Grats to all the winners and good luck to those purchased, hehe. Wish I could have been there.
Penny will pay you WHATEVER you want if you let us both in on that run. -
Whoever bought the MLRSF spot(s?), if there's room on the night you run it and am playing, I'll gladly pay you a good chunk of what you paid to get in on that action >.>
Gratz to VoodooGirl. I knew you were being lowballed on the forum -

No, I did not get a chance to run the TFs.......but I was not under the impression you had to choose the shard as part of the reward?

Just so we're clear, as long as we refer to Flux as "King ED", it's okay that he heavily "RPs" a sloven, bodily-fluid fetish lover with a grandiose demeanor..........
And you think this is going to help "lolpvp"'s image???
Hopefully be there for the next informative get together.
