Really? I'm gonna have to be the one to create the topic and gush over how amazingly hot Summer Glau looked?

Ya she looked pretty good on chuck last night.

Yeah she's grown up good. I don't know why, but sometimes when Greta was on screen, it was clearly Summer, but other times, I had to ask "Is that really her?"

I have to admit, I was hoping for some Summer vs Sarah action. Really really hoping...

Our little River Tam sure has grown up pretty, hasn't she? (Did she get leg extensions???)

I love this show, I do, but I'm not thrilled with the "will he or won't he" plot with the intersect. It seems to be the goto plot when they aren't moving the overall story forward. And this show has always moved forward and with Chuck unable to access the intersect (Oh no could it be Sara's fault!!! They may have to break up! Spying or Sarah? There goes Chucks happiness.) it feels awfully like the show is spinning it's wheels a little.

I have to chuckle every time they find a new way to show Sarah in her skimpies. Also, my onscreen guide, iirc, called Jeffster the "Buy Morons". Never heard/seen that before.

So that was Summer? I thought it might, but at times I thought, "No, that can't be her..."

I never once felt like it was a "They may have to break up!" for Chuck and Sara, with the current plot line.

It felt more like a "Time Chuck learns not to rely on Sara".

That is all.

Agreed.

Switching back to Summer... on some of the closeups on her face I noticed something: She looks a lot like Olivia Wilde.

Her face looked thinner than I remembered it from Terminator. And yes, in heels and a short skirt her legs look like they go on forever.

Good job Mr. Paris.

real fun episode, though im getting a bit torqued as each season find's a way to strip Chuck of the intersect in some way. this one also didn't even really make sense, since if Chuck's dad had something capable of suppressing the intersect, why did he have to design the watch thing for Chuck instead of just using the snazzy PSP/intersect taker-away thingamajig.

(and dammit, where's the badass arm computer Chuck's dad gave him 2 seasons ago! Raaaaaawr!)

oh... right. Glau.
ill be in my bunk.

The not-PSP was to suppress it and essentially strip Chuck of being able to use it (presumably in case he goes rogue or something I'd guess). The watch controls the electrical pulses from the intersect and keeps Chuck's brain from going kaflooey, iirc the MacGuffin explanation.

What bothers me is that they had that entire secret base thing and they didn't really do anything with it. There was potential there for so much and it was wasted on the backstabbing mother (don't care that she slipped Sarah a blade, she's still a backstabbing witch and isn't worth a drop of toad mucus).

I thought it was, overall, a fun episode that was really made to work by Rob Riggle and the interaction with Summer Glau. I wanted to see more of a scene with Adam Baldwin and Summer, but it was enough.

Prediction: The thing that will break the Intersect block will be . . . having to save Sarah. He won't break through until SHE is in danger and he needs it to save her.

Then we'll agree to disagree because it sure felt to me like the expert was giving yet another reason for one of them to have to end it with the other. /shrug

I could have sworn I knew him from some kind of football function

I was genuinely sad that he probably won't ever be back on the show I totally want to see an entire episode with him and Casey on a mission together.

I've already forgotten about most of you

I don't think the purpose of the PSP was to suppress the Intersect. My money is still on it being an upload of Orion's files, you know he would have created one for his own use if nothing else, and the suppression of the Intersect is a side effect. (Perhaps why he didn't want to use it on Chuck.)

I hope this is one Greta who will return later. I'd love to see her square off against Casey.

i await the inevitable spinoff that will be Team Baldwin: Casey, Greta, a resurrected Rob Riggle and Morgan.

I half-thought that the entire mission was a CIA setup strictly to get Chuck to break through the mental block. Everything from the bad guy to the freezer to the diamonds to Rob's swan dive.

It would be neat if it was.

That's easy enough to see from a mile away. The question is what will put her in danger?
