  1. I know this is not the Tanker forums but this is the Scrapper forum so this seems like the best place for DPS calculations.

I'm wondering what the highest DPS attack chain is and what powers and recharge are needed.

    Thanks in advance.
  2. You know...you could just simulate this by getting the science booster pack...the fighting pool and the leadership pool.

    Create a large character costume.
    Create a small character costume.

When your character is large...toggle on Tough and Assault and turn off sprint.

When your character is small...toggle on Weave and Maneuvers and turn on sprint.
  3. Bruce Wayne is MA/WP...Batman is MA/WP w/ toys.

My Batman esque character is MA/WP.
  4. Why haven't "they" changed all "godmode" powers to be the "same" as SoW and OwtS, as far as duration and recharge is concerned?

    Define "fast".

Fighting AVs take anywhere between 5 to 15 mins with "geared to solo AV builds".
So if you get bored fighting one thing for more than 5 mins then AV soloing is not for you.
  6. I know that MA/WP is not the first choice that comes to mind for soloing AVs.
If you were to make a MA/WP geared towards fighting AVs what would the build look like?

    I always say this...

Wolverine with adamantium skeleton is Willpower.
Wolverine without adamantium skeleton is Regen.

Going right off the bat, no, you can get a seamless attack string. A straight cycle of the attacks (Storm>Crane>CAK>DT) would be possible except that DT needs to recharge in 4.752 seconds. Interposing Storm Kick into the straight cycle would be able to round it out except that the recharge requirement for it makes it a bit hard to interpose it nicely.

You may want to think about getting rid of CAK in exchange for Eagles Claw, which would actually be able to generate a constant attack string. Assuming you give it the same +rech as CAK (136.6% +rech), Eagles Claw would recharge in 5.07 seconds with an activation time of 2.772 seconds. You'd then be able to run a seamless attack string of Storm>Eagles>Storm>Dragon's>Crane.
    What about something like...Storm>Crane>CAK>Storm>DT>CAK?

    Edit: Nevermind...it wouldn't work.
  9. Is a seemless attack chain possible with these numbers...

    Storm Kick - 2.33s recharge
    Crane Kick - 4.23s recharge
    C.A. Kick - 3.38s recharge
    D's Tail - 5.44s recharge

    Thanks in advance.

What I was suggesting is more of a true Recovery Debuff where the target is unable to recover endurance for a given period of time... kind of like a ST version of Lingering Radiation, except it prevents endurance recovery only.
Electrical Melee actually drains end and causes -recovery.

  13. I have a MA/WP build that needs one more power and has 4 extra slots to place.

The power choices are between Cobra Strike, Eagle's Claw(only used for stunning), Focus Chi or SoW.

The four extra slots can go anywhere.

I'm going to post my build but I have a few "restrictions".
My build is finalized(in my mind) except the last power and 4 slots.
So please, try to only comment on the questions I asked...because I know people will want to criticize my build (Umbral).

I just want your opinions on what you would do (which power you would pick and where you would put the 4 slots) given this situation.

    Thanks in advance.

Thunder Kick has the chance to stun...Storm Kick has extremely high DPA.
  15. I think it is pretty obvious that Physical Perfection is not a must...since it just came out and Dark Armor has been around.
  16. I have to plans for an expensively IO'd WP...and I'm wondering how needed SoW is for PvE.

Has any /WP gone without it?
  17. I really do not see any reason why this couldn't and shouldn't be done.

    Umbral...

What is the best attack chain and the recharge needed ony using Storm Kick, Crane Kick and Crippling Axe Kick?

I came to that conclusion and I completely understand...that's why I haven't posted in here in awhile.

Would added the chance to disorient to other MA attacks (similar to Thunder Kick) make the set broken?
  20. I'm trying to decide between MA/WP and MA/SR.

I've have played both WP and SR to level 50 with Dark Melee.

I know how great soft-cap /SR can be...but I'm worried about MA/SR because the lack of a heal.

Are there any MA/SR, without Aid Self, that can comment on this?

I mean, I understand the point in wanting the people, who suggest, to do their homework and look up information before posting suggestions...but why do you come off so angry and seemingly offended by the suggestions?
  22. I have another "separate" question but I don't want to start a new thread.

    Cobra Strike...

How useful is this power if you do not have Eagle's Claw nor Thunder Kick?
  23. I've thought about it and I've come to the conclusion that...more martial arts powers need a chance to disorient.

The main reason that "I" wanted a change to Cobra Strike is because you basically need Eagle's Claw and/or Thunder Kick to get the most efficiency out of the power.
Unfortunately, for me, my build doesn't have Eagle's Claw or Thunder Kick.

So maybe, in order to make Cobra Strike more "useful", more martial arts attacks need a chance to disorient...similar to what Thunder Kick already has.
  24. Obviously my new project is a MA/WP.

I'm looking for a single target attack chain with the least ammount of powers.

I'm wondering if I will be able to get by with just Storm Kick, Crane Kick and Crippling Axe Kick...and Dragon's Tail for AoE.

What attack chain, and how much recharge is needed for Storm Kick, Crane Kick and Crippling Axe Kick?

    Thanks in advance.
  25. Vitality

    Focus Chi

Has anyone went without this power?
I normally only take Build-Up powers when I'm focusing on AV builds...and I never really miss them during "regular PvE" (not taking Soul Drain on PvE builds).
Admittedly...this is only really with Dark Melee and its "hardly resisted" negative energy.

I'm worried about not taking Focus Chi because smashing damage is heavily resisted.

What are your thoughts on taking or not taking Focus Chi?
