Along with Anne Hathaway. And Allison Brie has recently entered my ex-wives territory.

I was really happy with the way this one turned out. Considering how disappointed i was with HBP, i was pleased to see how this part ended. Im really looking forward to the last half of the whole thing.

this is awesome. in fact, this may actually be BEYOND awesome.

gotta admit, much as i enjoyed moving on up to 3/.5, i do miss a lot of the awesome splats and the feel of the books written for 2E. they just didn't have the same feel to them in the later editions. loved reading a lot of the various "Complete Handbooks to..." and the boxed set stuff for campaign settings. Makes me wish they'd intro'd Eberron in an old school box like that.
this is one of the few times ill actually lament 'the good 'ol days.' heh. -
Quote:i get that. i stopped buying them after Legacy of the Drow, but i borrowed them from a buddy who kept picking up the series, and it was alright. i usually see the hate from folks who have apparently played in campaigns where there's always at least 1 bad Do'Urden rip-off running around, as if what those guys are playing is Salvatore's fault.Personally I liked the Icewind Dale Trilogy and liked the Dark Elf Trilogy even more, after that it seemed like RA burned himself out on the character and I stopped reading about Drizzts exploits not long after. I think the last book I bought that concerned Drizzt was neat hardbound deal that gave alot of background info on Faerun as it concerned Drizzt for people who haven't played D&D or dabbled in other worlds.
ah well. as for a new NWN game, with any luck it'll be better than the 2nd one was. for as much vitriol as they get, Cryptic isn't that bad either. -
Dammit now i want a Kung Fu Panda/Spider-Ham crossover!

Quote:id rather they make a TV show about a character id want to see. They should've went with a Luke Cage tv show. Super Strength, Invulnerable (But not at Superman levels so he's not impossible to hurt) and he's easy on the budget since he doesn't need to transform.
He's also well known enough that comic readers would know who he is and watch but unknown enough that you can be flexible with his stories. There's also lots of room for cameos from other Marvel characters from the A-listers to D-listers.
so im down with seeing a 'Hellboy' style Hulk running around, though id be more interested in seeing them redo a live action Flash TV show. -

real fun episode, though im getting a bit torqued as each season find's a way to strip Chuck of the intersect in some way. this one also didn't even really make sense, since if Chuck's dad had something capable of suppressing the intersect, why did he have to design the watch thing for Chuck instead of just using the snazzy PSP/intersect taker-away thingamajig.
(and dammit, where's the badass arm computer Chuck's dad gave him 2 seasons ago! Raaaaaawr!)
oh... right. Glau.
ill be in my bunk. -
Quote:so, he ran over your dog or something? or did a fan of his slash your tires?I didn't mind the Icewind Dale trilogy back when it came out, but to keep cranking the handle churning out glorified fanfic for whats it been now, twenty five years? That's the definition of 'hack', grinding out uniformly generic product for a paycheck.
in all seriousness, im always surprised at the level of hate (not saying you, you're actually a pretty measured response from most of the folks i've seen) that the dude generates. he's by no means a great writer, but he at least manages to keep his stories entertaining. sure, you say 'hack', but at least he's a well paid hack. -
yeah, yeah. you blue boys hope, green gets it done!
sadly, Joephisto struck a deal with Guardians and he's off limits. little blue bastards.
Quote:Well looks like the Death of Spider-Man is for the Ultimate universe, and doesn't have anything to do with the 616 Spider-Man. Here' a link for details. -
Costume looks good, effects look okay, Hal seems a bit more wiseass than cocky but minor alterations in the character are to be expected. this has some potential. i know ill be getting a couple of tickets at least.

dug the whole thing from start to finish. the only problem i have is that i guess Guardians of the Galaxy and Nova are temporarily/permanently wrapped for the time being. which sucks. both books were two of the best things Marvel had going, so im hoping they bring Pete and Rich back PDQ. i mean they may be stuck in a dying universe, but they're stuck with a prepackaged macguffin.
(also, still torqued that Warlock ended up coming back only to get himself offed again. dagnabbit!) -
the good: the megaman music. heh.
the bad: no real funny going on here. also, 2 minutes IS a nutshell, but it just gives away the flick with no real jokes. sorry boss.
the ugly: really? nitpicking an accent? this one is just a personal pet peeve of mine. because apparently, most folks think accents come in two flavors; comical or awful. bleh. -

yea, anyone else seeing that this season is just gonna end badly for Mike? heh, this is gonna be a fun ride.

what, did we run out of types of prescription medicine to name Star Wars characters after? -
Quote:yea...*blink*In this case, I suspect it is as presented: strike while the iron is hot and make hay while the sun shines.
DiDio's reputation aside, he doesn't muck around editorial once the story is in motion as much Joey Q does, unless he's got a personal stake in it. (as he did with Countdown) -
Quote:dammit, his 'Grounded's been one of the better Superman stories over the last couple years, and i really wanted to see where he was going with WW. the bright side is Phil Hester is decent writer, so it should still be pretty interesting. i haven't read anything yet by Roberson, so i have no idea if he's any good or not, but unless they end up pulling some form of OMD for Superman, i doubt the title will be coming off my pull list.
