Defense buffs granted to allies are supposed to include positional and defense so they're equally useful to all characters, so if it's not doing that it probably is bugged.

Or the support pets are all terrible, which I've long suspected, and they're only "good" when compared to the other support pets.

That may have been changed; I haven't used the Seeker since early beta. Back then it definitely cast Fort on the other Seer if it felt like it.

It always throw it on me. I do wish it had better recharge, from what I have seen the Warworks outdamages the Seers by a lot, and it would be nice little bonus if the Seeker could keep Fortitude up on both you and the other Seer.

I really find myself wishing thier was a 3rd choice in T4 for options. Because neither is really spot on for what I want /sigh
15% damage bonus is negligible. It would be worthwhile if you had it all the time, but you only get it for roughly half of every five minutes out of every fifteen. (Again, because half the time the Seeker will Fort your Diviner/Augur.)

It's All of course. You can find this stuff out for yourself by right-clicking on the powers in the Lore trees in the Incarnate window in-game.
  3. For some reason the game doesn't recognize changes made to incarnate powers as changes, so if you only change them it doesn't save when you exit.

If you change comething else that the game does think constitutes a costume change, though, you can get it to remember your incarnate power changes.

Personally I change the color on my untintable halo aura.
  4. The best one is the Clockwork Mender, hands down. Strongest heal on second-shortest timer, more or less perma 7.5% defense buff even if you account for the fact that half the time it'll cast it on your other pet.

The Seer Seeker is the worst, its Fortitude gives negligible damage and tohit buffs, and its recharge is so long that it can only keep one out at a time, and half the time it gives it to the other pet. Its heal is the weakest, though on the shortest recharge (8 vs. 10 vs. 16 secs)

The Battle Orb is okay, though only within the context of the other support pets. Its heal is the strongest, but it's on the longest recharge, apparently to make up for the ludicrously short-lived mez protection it gives (5 secs). The shield generator can help your teammates, but it's only up half the time and gives a minor 5% defense buff. It protects against low-grade stuns and immobilizes. My knowledge of mez mechanics might be a little rusty, but I'm pretty sure the amount it protects against isn't enough to actually mez you with no protection.
  5. Sure you weren't inspired by this thread?

Count yourself lucky, commons are what you need the most of. Getting Uncommon at the end is almost an unreward since you'll get the 8 you need to make Very Rares in all four pools easily over the number of runs you need to max out your four chosen powers. You can't even break them down into enough to make a common.

I'm not complaining, I like taking on groups meant for 2 or 3 full teams and winning. But they need something more than level 54 enemies to challenge people as strong as that.

    League system

"Things are great!" threads are boring. Do you think you could complain about something, maybe?
  8. CPR has an absolutely abysmal success rate, so that's not saying much.

so I had an idea to get more interest in this 6 hour long TF.

why not raise the maximum level from 44 to 50, then people can use it for shard farming. it seems quite appropriate what with ti taking place mostly int eh Shadow Shard .

also other than the 122 reward merits at the end, if you really want to get ALOT of interest in it, I have another idea, Dr. Quarterfield is a scientist therefor I'd think he'd have the raw knowledge to write enhancement recipes.

so, how about each character gets to claim any 1 recipe at the end of the TF by talking to Dr. Quarterfield after finishing. (I mean they can only feasibly do 4-5 runs a day if they are at it for 24 hours)

that would be huge incentive, raise the max level to 50 (54) and include an option to obtain any 1 recipe at the end.

what does everyone think of this idea?
Getting one million dollars for eating a turd doesn't change the fact that you ate a turd.
  10. for mobs? I got my 3 level shifts and level 54s are feeling pretty trivial.

  12. What makes you so sure that was the Well talking? I think it's fairly likely that it wasn't the Well, simply because when it speaks to you through Recluse or Statesman it uses first person and has yellow text, while in the scene at the end of the Ramiel arc the unseen speaker has green-blue text and speaks of the Well in third-person.

And I don't consider saying it's amoral to be a concession, more a given.
  13. Not if you don't care about good or evil and respond only to strength and will, like the Well explicitly does.

Giving your character access to a lore-based source of power doesn't rewrite your concept any more than having them fight Trolls or Outcasts. You provide the character, CoH provides the world, and the Well and Incarnate system are part of the world.
  17. My favorite way to explain the new powers is that I'm tapping into an outside source of powers, a "well" of powers if you will, and using this new source for new powers.
  18. Yeha, PI could use some more access methods.

There had previously been a bug where the channel for these dialogue lines did not have a visible name, but we fixed that in i20, so it should now be easy to add so all of your characters can enjoy the story of TFs and Trials at their leisure.
Of course we still have to work out who's speaking by the context...

Here you get rewards for participation and the raids only last 30-45 minutes.

I'm reading between the lines. From this and other posts by MOO it's fairly obvious to me that at his core he really just doesn't want to team.
  21. Okay, you don't want to team. Got it.
  22. Well it's a fact that your human brain gives you an unfair tactical advantage.
  23. Rushed out the door? They were beta testing it IN SEPTEMBER. As in, before I19! Did you forget?

EDIT: Unlike this post, which was rushed out.
  24. The trick to getting tons of XP in BAF is to make it to the last rounds and be on the team in charge of dealing with ambushes.
