Add a "Decrease Rarity" Option for Trial Reward Tables
Heh, I've got...one Uncommon roll? ALL the rest have been freaking commons, which are the least of my worries given how easy they are to get with threads not been amused.
GG, I would tell you that "I am killing you with my mind", but I couldn't find an emoticon to properly express my sentiment.

Whoops, did not see that. Clearly it's a case of great minds thinking alike.

Can always convert uncommon components to rare and very rare components. Need 4 uncommons to make a rare and 16 uncommons to make a very rare. Only problem is that you need a 100 threads and 100 million inf to make a rare and 400 threads and 800 million inf to make a very rare just based on uncommon drops.
The first step in being sane is to admit that you are insane.
I hate that saying. Great minds don't think alike. Progress is by great minds that goes against what common thinking dictates. Einstein had a great mind by not thinking like his peers.

I've always viewed the expression as a sort of tongue-in-cheek way of complimenting yourself by way of complimenting a person who has the same idea as you. "Wow, you had that idea too? You're clearly brilliant!

The idea is that you create your rare or very rare with Empyrean Merits and you craft another one with uncommons, threads, and inf. Of course, there is the chance that someone is really lucky and is able to get the very rares and rares through just the reward table.

Thing is, commons are so easy to craft with even one BAFs worth of AMerits and natural drops. Rares and V.Rares on the other hand require an extortionate ammount of EmpMerits. I know which one I'd rather have drop

I'm not all that interested in working towards Very Rares at the moment, but have gotten Very Rares quicker than Rares. Not to mention Rares are inherently more valuable since you need two to make a Very Rare in the first place.
So yes, a way to downgrade rarity, whether inside the drop table or via the Convert tab would be lovely.

While commons are easy to make, I have to agree with the OP. On my brute I got 4 very rares, 12 rares, about the same uncommons and 3 commons. I never had to craft anything except commons and it seems a bit unfair that if I don't need that uncommon and need something that is supposed to be of lesser value I am unable to exchange it.
Ok this was inspired by this thread:

The current trial reward tables seem to be heavily slanted towards uncommon components. This is a problem since you don't actually need that many uncommon components unless you are doing the "buy rares with inf" option.
For someone planning to use Empyrean Merits to get their rare/very rare components (or who got lucky on drops) uncommon components are less useful than commons. Therefore I propose that a new option be added to the reward tables (primarily the uncommon table but it could feasibly be added to the other tables.
This option would replace the current reward table with one of a lower rarity. In effect changing the final reward option from "you must select this rarity" to "you must select this rarity or lower".
