What categories of things should I delete with driver sweeper? Also windows keeps auto-installing the drivers it doesn't even ask me if I want them.
-
[ QUOTE ]
Uninstall drivers, boot to Safe Mode, run DriverSweeper, boot to normal mode, don't let windows install any drivers, install these 185.85 drivers.
Also, if it were me, I'd drop the Physics Quality to High since there is no Ageia PhysX card installed.

Two Questions:
1) What is driver sweep?
2) How do I prevent windows from installing drivers? It does it automatically?
3) How do I get to safemode in vista? -

Really? Are you using Firefox or IE? If it's Firefox you may need to right-click the download link and do the Save Link As ... dance.
Edit: Works for me in IE and Firefox just by clicking the link. Firefox asks me what I want to do and gives the option of Save File or Cancel.

Odd now it worked:

Nope it broke again, I double clicked device manager and it crashed and now I am back to square one...
-
Insane, I went and downloaded the new drivers and my computer is "fixed." -- Is this a problem I should worry about or perhaps it was a one time thing?
-
So I was playing the game when my screen went black. I was forced to restart my computer and now my video card is disabled. I use Windows Vista (And I haven't installed new drivers). My video card is a 9800 Gx2 Nvidia card. Currently I am trying to install different drivers.
When my computer loads up my card is disabled now. Device Manager is reporting a "!" symbol next to the card and it says:
Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)
Any idea what I can do? -
Is this power worth taking now? If so, what was changed about it? I am going to respec my level 40 Elec/Energy Brute. I would of sworn they added text to it too about jumping?

Willpower seems superior to Regeneration in every way. Why pick Regeneration over it for numbers sake?
[/ QUOTE ]
Because it isn't superior in ervey way.
False premise, means the rest of the post is pretty meaningless.

Can you post how so?

Try looking at 10 second survivability. You can even use Sm/Le if you like.
Examine both with and without Dull Pain available.
Considering just yesterday you didn't even know the basic mechanics of RTTC I think you have some way to go before understand the stengths and weaknesses of the set.
[/ QUOTE ]
You are aware you linked to my post of AGAINST ALL ODDS from the Shield powerset? I don't see anything in there about RTTC. -

Willpower seems superior to Regeneration in every way. Why pick Regeneration over it for numbers sake?
1) Willpower RTTC and Regeneration Integration assuming facing one target are the same. However, RTTC pulls ahead when faced with multiple targets.
2) Willpower gets a permanent 30% HP from High Pain Tolerance and it gets a +Res All. Regeneration gets Dull Pain which needs a lot of slotting to get perma and you might hit the cap.
3) Willpower gets Smashing/Lethal/Psionic Resistance and Defense. Regeneration gets Instant Healing while good is a 90 sec duration with a 10 min 50 s recharge... so WP gets all those goodies everytime and Regeneration gets it approximately 35% of the time with slotting. In fact, it could be argued WP might be more survivable even when Regen has IH.
4) Regeneration has Reconstruction but even with that the mitigation is only approximately once every 30 seconds vs WP's constant mitigation. -
Updated looks like Dark Miasma for Controllers and Brute Regeneration are in the lead.

Pick a set or sets and what primary or secondary do you want to see next? I will try and keep a tally and edit this post so maybe we can get a consensus of what people on the forum want. Here's an example:
Brute: Secondary, Regeneration.
Scrapper: Primary, Super Strength.
Dominator: Primary, Illusion.
To keep it simple just list one proliferation per archetype. (So don't list both a primary and secondary list what you REALLY want)
Running Total
Brute > Regeneration > 9
Scrapper > Super Strength > 5
Dominator > Illusion > 11
Controller > Dark Miasma > 10
Mastermind > Cold Domination > 5
Controller > Traps > 3
Scrapper > Ninjitsu > 8
Brute > Broadsword > 1
Stalker > Axe > 1
Corruptor > Poison > 5
Scrapper > Energy Melee > 7
Blaster > Trick Arrow > 1
Defender > Poison > 2
Tanker > Energy Aura > 6
Stalker > Fire Melee > 4
Blaster > Dark Blast > 6
Defender > Thermal Rad > 7
Defender > Fire Blast > 8
Scrapper > Energy Aura > 2
Tanker > Broadsword > 3
Stalker > Ice Armor > 5
Stalker > Ice Melee > 6
Brute > Broadsword > 3
Corruptor > Force Field > 1
Corruptor > Mental Blast > 4
Brute > Spine > 1
Stalker > Stone Melee > 1
Blaster > Martial Arts type secondary > 3
Brute > Katana > 1
Dominator > Elec Control > 2

Defender > Cold Domination > 1
Mastermind > Sonic > 2

This guy is old, and I mean old. Created and leveled shortly after COV's release, in fact, he has the old accolade this character was fun but unplayed for a long time. So now I login and WOW have Dominators changed:
1) I did a SF for fun, and merits, and I built full Domination in like 5 blasts. What the heck?
2) I know these changes but WOW do I hit like a truck now. Total Focus, Bone Smasher, range attacks, I felt like a super blaster. This guy is in SO's that are two levels below him.
Overall it was a lot of fun and now I am like wow I want to make a Dominator again. I want more AOE so I was thinking of doing like a Psionic Dominator. What would be a good primary for LOTS of AOE control? I was thinking Gravity, opinions? -

The Longbow Eagle Death Squad is not an ambush. They are in flight when the map spawns, hanging around the bank. If you fly or leap anywhere around the bank they'll probably agro. They have extended agro range and can't be grounded by any means.
I haven't seen these PPD mobs that summon other PPD yet. I'll have to take a look in MA and see if they're listed....

Its the Police Captains, I think it might of been when Castle tweaked NPCs so they made use of all their powers. Here's what happens:
The Paragon Police Captain will do the Whistle animation and sounds like he is whistling, two-three minions or summons a lieutenant will run up next to him. (Just like the Mastermind summon)
Here's the bug, they do it OVER and OVER again and pretty soon they have a GIGANTIC army. These NPCs are worth no experience, do not eventually die from a duration timer, and there is an infinite number. I would say the only good thing about this bug would be you could easily farm Paragon Police for the badge for part of the accolade.
The bank was literally so crowded, because they kept constantly spamming whistle, that you could not move. It was insane. -
I really think they are going to change either numbers or powers in the set for Tankers. You can cap resistances (Energy) with a Brute. A Tanker at a full 100% (Brutes get 75% of a shield's value) would be so far over the cap it would be a waste in my opinion for what the rest of the set sacrifices.
I am really curious to see what happens. -
Does anyone have a link to when Total Focus got changed to Mag 3? I have been searching through all the patch notes to no avail.
-

Looks like a perfectly normal number of ambushers...
who lost track of you and all went to the same location.
Ambushes were broken before the last patch in that they didn't show up at all. Now, they got the wrong address.
Blame dispatch.
And /bug it.
[/ QUOTE ]
Its not an ambush the Police Captains summon them. They give no experience at all they are summoned. The bank (Which I could not get a screenshot of) had like 2-3 captains making them. There was so many in the bank it crashed your game when you went in. -
Ok my next question is to be sure it does fall into this pool correct? 30-34? ParagonWiki doesn't have it listed as dropping anywhere which is odd.
-
My character has 20 merits and is level 40. There is a recipe I want that caps at level 30. (It is currently not on AH) -- Its the Accurate to-hit debuff chance for negative energy damage.
My question is, can I do the 30-34 pool and still get it if the slider is set to level 40? Or do I have to set my slider down to level 30? -
-
1) What is the -DMG it provides and what does it translate to in terms of resistance?
2) How much of a damage bonus does just one target provide?
3) How much damage bonus does having a full 10 targets provide and what is the range? -
As a pretty experience player, and I played my fair share of /Electrical Armor when I was soloing Arch Villains with my Brute with SS/Elec and EM/Elec when I made them FOTM. Electrical armor is fine with SO's. /Elec has two problems, one its synergy with IO's is poor and thats why it falls behind other sets. Two, its Energy resistance is EXTREMELY good and the trade off is the rest of the set.
/Elec is one of the few powersets that can tank an Arch Villain (Hero) like Positron INDEFINITELY with SO's + Aid Self. (I know cause I soloed him) The energy resistance this set gets is too good and the trade off is too harsh.
The problem is you have a lot of resistance and no hitpoints. If you are going to give a set no avoidance (See: Dodge, Misses, etc) you have to stack Resistance and HP as they are exponential factors off one another.
Ultimately, what I would do is cut the Energy resistance this set gets in half. (Currently it can cap Energy at 90% with Brute HP modifiers... when this set is ported to Tankers it will be even more useless). This would give the set a base 36% energy resistance. (Enhanced around 60%)
As for the rest of the set, give grounded a static HP bonus that is unenhanceable but is 20% extra hp.
