  1. depends on the magnitude of the fear effect, if its magnitude 10, break frees free you from magnitude 5, so you'd need to spam a few ( i think thats how it works anyway ) and annoyingly in PvP and PvE its very powerful as I've not managed to find many ways to resist it ( one of the Rikti assault suits in the LGTF is notorious for ganking people with fear followed up by laser cannon to the face )

    Random offline?

same, lost mapserver ( amidst quite a few angry Supa Trolls I might add ) and cant reconnect. Expecting debt as the trolls dont have to log back in
  3. Some ideas that I've toyed with over the years.

Zombie Apocalypse survivor MMO ( think left for dead on a massive scale )
    S.T.A.L.K.E.R online
    Sequel to Planetside

My most intricate idea is two linked MMO's, one which is SIMS online, where people live out their lives, chat etc like second life, but in a city and can get jobs etc.

The data from that game is then fed into a second MMO as the population information, the second MMO being a persistant online hitman style game
  4. Gutted, you guys have always been great

    Biographies!

Mine is a bit complex, I'm trying to rewrite the bio so it makes more sense, but the overall jist of it is...

Tsumiju Zero encounters the Ouroboros Menders and is tasked secretly to adjust his own past. He does so and when he returns to the present, he is "out of time" as his past never happened, yet he is temporally tethered to the pillar of ice and flame that he used.

When he returns to the present, he meets his dark self ( Tsumiju ) which creates a temporal imbalance as the two versions aren't supposed to exist at the same time.

Because Tsumiju is now the current one in the timeline, the carbon law no longer applies and Tsumiju Zero can jump further forward, or back in time ( possibly using the same trick Mender Silos used to come back in time ) and retrieved Tsumiju Absolute-Zero from the future. Absolute Zero is the result of Tsumiju Zero from the future, who having spent his life with the menders ( without carbon law himself as he is Tsumiju Zero from the future ) he has harnessed temporal forces and can "balance" the temporal distortions that the other two Tsumiju's create.

    nice and simple eh

you should be able to access the station without the tutorial, recipe's can be slotted quite early on ( 7+ ) and you can get way further than that before being prompted to do the tutorial.

hmm, that then is especially wierd, try /bug reporting the issue.
  8. well given the difficulty of Romulus and those bloody healing pets, teams normally like to gank him first, rather than fight 300 opponents only to find they havn't the inspirations, or the ability to defeat him. It's simply to make sure that you aren't wasting your time.

    Craft Lost Cure

try logging out, verifying all files and logging in again?
  10. if you have a 5+ anything and try to "drop" another on top to combine it, sometimes it comes up thinking you are "replacing" rather than "combining"

if you aren't sure, click the enhancement you want to "plus up" and if it appears fully colored in the enhancement combination screen then it should be availiable to be enhanced further. If its slightly greyed out, you need to level up before you can enhance again.

if you have access to a supergroup base, try one of those, the recipe can be crafted at ANY invention workstation, not just the ones in the university!

Then this link might be of interest to you. http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2008...netside-the-1/

I know exactly what this guy means, Planetside definately does have an "I was there" feeling to it, kind of like the Hami raids of old.

EVE is the ONLY game I've played where I've decided 'bugger this for a game of trousers!' before managing to complete the tutorial.

LMFAO - I did exactly that, I was stuck trying to destroy some stupid asteroid with a minigun when I uninstalled it
  15. to the OP, I believe yes it has. The PvE content is much stronger on the basis everyone can enjoy it, the moment you have to make PvP "builds" you take that away and only the minority can enjoy it.

I don't mind saying that my main is absolute rubbish in PvP on the basis that all my Super Reflex powers, can't seem to dodge assassin strikes, or give any kind of defence against PvP inflicted status's ( and bracticed brawler stacked doesnt seem to do much either ) which is why I only ever go to PvP zones for badges and to fight stuff not usually found in PvE zones, then when the PvP guys turn up, I leave.

Same with the arena, I think i've been in them three times, which is a huge shame as internally and in concept they are a great idea, I just think they are very poorly implimented in terms of the numbers behind PvP.

Again, I can understand why PvP is team balanced, but PvP in CoH is rarely a team sport from experience, as people aren't clamouring to get into the PvP zones in the first place.

I like it that CoH has a PvP choice to cater for all tastes, please don't get me wrong there, but some of the PvP fight's I've had have proven to be some of the most boring, frustrating, pointless and stupid experiences in all my time in the game, with ONE exception and that was the huge Sirens Call fight with Rockjaw and Bridger.

An Accolade should be given for slaving your way through the shadow shards and it should give a decent bonus power as well

    [/ QUOTE ]

now THAT sounds like an idea!

Bridger, the English Community Coordinator moved to become Game Designer and I had to deal with all three languages

hence the no-mess direct approach? it all makes sense now ( I do miss your own particular brand of forum justice chap ) and whilst I share the marketing and website update concerns of most others, I can appreciate the situation and the factors you mention. As far as I'm concerned if you guys are on it, we can certainly expect results! So I'm kicking back safe in the knowledge this is being looked at
  19. I'd be much more interested in gaining an accolade for time spent in multiple jobs than any amount of XP, although the inf could come in handy
  20. so true, I think a lot of people sent in city sights that were never even used, so there should be HUGE amounts of source material for community updates, there is plenty of news in terms of winter event, halloween event, issue updates etc that never even see the front page!
  21. Even just acknowledgement that the Hami Raid in its current state is inferior to the HUGE amount of enjoyment we all had with the initial version of the Hami Raid and that SOMETHING is being done about it would be enough.

( I am aware my nagging about raids is somewhat akin to early GG animated hair syndrome, but hey we're both passionate about feature implimentation )
  22. it was the social part and the feeling of being something bigger that was the key to the hami raids, thats what most people miss, regardless of server.
