I am returning to the game after a ~4 year break.
I have a few questions (I like to theme my characters, so looking at Bots/FF or Bots/Traps for 1v1 arena pvp...I will also take the lighting based shield for theme purposes on both builds):
1) Does FF do decent in the 1v1 arena? I heard PFF was nerfed really bad in pvp which kind of worries me about the 1v1 pvp capabilities of a Bots/FF MM.
2) I hear Traps is "good" for pvp, but I have not heard why. Will a Traps MM fare better in the 1v1 arena then a FF? I really am leaning towards FF, but if there is a significant margin between the two then I will go with Traps since I do like the concept of it too.
3) Power Pools. I am looking at SS, SJ, Fitness, and Medicine (Aid Self). Are these pretty standard PPs for pvp? -
I am returning after a ~4 year break.
I am rolling a themed Ice/SS Tanker. I have heard that pvp defense was recently nerfed, which would affect Ice. I see that there are now arenas, and the 1v1 I am particularly interested in.
So, in a nutshell, can an Ice tanker hold their own in 1v1 situations? -

Hasten does indeed stack with set bonuses.
The point that Dumple and me were trying to make is that if you get enough set bonuses to get perma-hasten, you've got enough set bonuses to have the same effect as Hasten already.
Basically, by trying to get perma-hasten, you must first get perma-hasten.

Does Hasten not stack with the set bonuses for even more goodness?
I want SS anyway, and having two slots used for Hasten isnt too bad. -
I am glad the set bonus are at least additive and not multiplicative.

Thanks for that link. I did mean 95% on the more "standard" enhancements, not 100%. ED hasn't changed it looks like since I used to play.

Quick Background: I quit about one year after the launch of the game. I did reactivate one time during Issue 6 for a month, so I am familiar with Enhancement Diversification (ED).
1) ED today. I have looked at peoples builds and seen people using more than 3 of one type of enhancement (maybe it is something with IOs which I am not too familiar with their capabilities yet). Has something been changed with ED I should be aware of?
2) On the same note...perma-Hasten. I know ED "fixed" perma-Hasten, but I have seen people talking about being able to have it again (or at least within 2-3 seconds of having it). Is this possible again?
Next few questions pertain to pvp.
3) I always really liked the Ice Tanker. I heard with Issue 14 defense was nerfed in pvp. Did this kill Ice Tankers pvp viability?

OK, I put the file in the TP program folder itself, and I noticed there was one space in that file name. Thank you for pointing that out. Are we supposed to to a bind for each of the 4 files tho? I noticed just doing the reset one didnt do anything other than let me reset.

I copy and paste the exact line that the program gives me. It says that error when I paste that into the chat bar.

Why is mine saying this error when I enter the bind in my combat log:
"Usage: bind_load_file takes 1 arg, you gave 2.
Reads a list of keybinds from a file.

I am following the directions of the program.
I even clear previous keybinds and I have no clue now. -
TY for fast reply. The only thing I wish about my build was that I could get Steamy Mist faster, but I decided all the other abilities are more important. I am 6-slotting Artic Air by level 12 because I am going to put 6 DO endreds in it.

It seems like you are very knowledgeable about the Ice primary, and I rolled one last night. I have friend that I will duo with up to level 32(I am not taking any attacks until then). I am going to be Ice/Storm/Ice for concept and fun reasons(I will post my build below). You said you mainly like to support your team, but I am mainly a solo guy(duo sometimes). I am wondering if post-32 and pet slottage if an Ice/Storm will be an effective soloer. Also, I know you said you didnt PvP much, but you have to know something about Ice's capabilities. I will want to group PvP, but most of the time I will want to arena 1 vs 1 duel. I am thinking with all my slows, Jack Frost, Ice Blast, all Storm damage/soft control, will I be able to duel 1v1 duels effectively?

if you read the AT descriptions a blaster was never meant to solo...they were meant to be behind the low damage tankers that are taking the hits while blasting away at devastating effect. if mobs have more hit points then you cant kill a mob easily before it kills you. a tank and support people need to be there while you do the damage. imo from the descriptions it sounds like a blaster should solo about on par with a defender that is geared to solo(i know an emp defender cant solo like the 3 big damager rad/kin/storm)
-i think Statesmen is doing what he meant to do for the ATs from the very begining. imagine a graph for the difficulty of the game from levels 1-50, right now the graph is pretty linear and this is bad because more powers/SOs/more slots open up...therefore making the game alot easier. mobs start coming into their own in the teens and people are having alotta difficulty during those times. after 22 and especially 30+ the mobs are still the same difficulty but you have infinetly better powers and slots so the game is not even a comparison to those levels. on my graph analogy i think the graph now would look like y=1 or an exponential curve down, while it should look more like y=x or some type of exponential curve going up. -
