    Also, I note you have picked shadow bolt rather than (is it ebon eye or something... the negative energy eye beams anyway)... any reason. Very fast recharge i like, especially as I may not pick to many attack powers, but is it worth it at higher levels???

    Nebulous Form was great until the nerf because it also gave you a mini-superjump (Like Hurdle+CJ) which was great for getting around. However, since the nerf it's limited to 30 seconds and thus useless for just about everything.

    Shadow Bolt and Ebon Eye are both pretty useless at higher levels, but Shadow Bolt has a higher DPS, EPS and shorter activation time, so I picked it.

    I took Superspeed in order for it to stack with Shadow Cloak for full invis and I took CJ/SJ/Acro for the mez protection.

    Additional benefits include travel powers that aren't teleport and no slots needed on any of them, which is a godsend even as a pure human form Kheldian.

  5. I've got a gimped Lv26 Brute and a less gimped Lv28 Dominator, both of whom could do with a respec.
  6. I always play CoX with the audio off and Winamp running - the only time I switch it on again is when glowie hunting.

    To answer the questions (and abuse):

    This is a respec for an already Lv50 who rarely exemps, so I'm not worried about not being able to tank as well at lower levels (Although this is similar to the build I first levelled to 50 with).

    I'm endurance paranoid because right now when soloing I get through all of my endurance in 3 or 4 groups unless I stop and rest. Ice toggles are expensive, not to mention Tough and the Hasten Crash.

    I swapped Incinerate for Icicles because its DoT was annoying me - it takes 10 ticks to do the same damage as GFS does in 1-3. I may well ditch Iciclces again with my I7 freespec depending on how much I hate them by them.

    Slows in chilling embrace *only* reduce movement speed, not recharge. -Recharge cannot be enhanced.

    And I'll be taking out the spare slots from Combat Jumping etc, but I had spare slots that I had to put somewhere.

    Finally, for the record, every primary is taken at the first opportunity, except for Chilling Embrace, which is a hark back to before it offered anything more than a -recharge & taunt aura, and Icicles, which is a new addition.

    Nope, once you hit 38 and get Eclipse any kind of Mez protection would be hugely overpowered. Admittedly not as overpowered as pre-ED, but still overpowered. Of course, Warshades tend to suffer more than Peacebringers as so many of their powers require you to be in the middle of the action, but that's the price you pay for the Archetype I'm afraid.

    Your options are Acrobatics, Dwarf Form or teaming with 2+ controllers. Acrobatics is remarkably useful for 3 reasons. 1) It protects against knockback, 2) It protects against Holds 3) It requires you to take Superjump & Combat Jumping which only need a single slot each (Which is a godsend for a Kheldian) *and* since they nerfed Nebulous Form into uselessness, Superjump is a handy alternate travel power to Teleport.

    Face facts, CoH was *never* designed with PvP in mind. The archetypes were designed to function in teams & in PvE and too many powerset combinations just aren't viable in PvP, even with supposedly PvP builds, especially solo.

    And how much less fun might he have if it's not something he enjoys doing? People shouldn't be required to delve into the numbers and mechanics of the game just to have a functional PvP character, which they do as it stands (certain powersets excluded). Hell, even PvE is going that way with all the power nerfs and changes of recent issues.

    Ah, so now the blasters will be forced to toggle-drop me, the controllers & dominators forced to snap through my megre mez protection, the stalkers forced to AS me with unresistable damage (Not that I have any resistance to speak of) and anyone else generally forced to kite me until I'm dead.

    Plus a PBAoE stun in Inky Aspect and pets, of course. The PB "pets" don't count as they're morons and would sooner run into a wall than a mob.

    No, against an even con minion you'd almost certainly see a decline in effectiveness, but it will scale up rapidly as relative level and rank increase.
  18. The whenslotting is entirely random - as with most builds - as I can never be bothered to work out level-by-level slotting when I'm planning a toon.
  19. True, but until Lv26 I don't actually have anything other powers that I need to fit into a chain and having a more frequent attack is handy.
