Running hero tips at 50 seems to get me endless Malta, KoA and DE with occasionally Nems and Carnies to spice things up a bit; I think I've even had Freaks once or twice.

Whilst we're on the subject, fluffies still suffer from disappearing corpse syndrome.

Still, not really bugs per se, more the devs forgetting that Kheldians exist

Quote:Name, address, contact details, billing history, passwords, security questions, possibly credit card details - even under idea circumstances, that's bad.it's not that big of a deal...
Use one password for everything you do and link it to an email...
Then that email have it a different password
Any problems that occur in any other thing you are in will email back to that account and you'll be safe cuz of the dif password.
Cred card, you just have to look at your bill ^.^ -
Well, I'm glad I'm not Sony right now.

Quote:While I admit it doesn't sound like a very strong argument, Birmingham is much better than everyone seems to think it is; they've done a huge amount of renovation in the last 10 years and these days it can actually be a really nice place to live.Ooh, I would most definitely try to fly over for a Nottingham Meet & Greet! I have amazing memories of my time in Nottingham and the surrounding area
P.S.: Oops that comes across as me not being too fond of Birmingham, which is not true at all. They have great erm...stuff in Birmingham, don't they? -
Domination + Mass Confusion is extremely useful on that section of the trial, it allows me to pretty much solo Crates/Containment Units. The only thing I haven't been able to verify yet is what happens temp-wise if mobs destroy a container without any player interaction...

You could always put a window limit in place so that you can form pacts at any level but only if all characters involved are within, say, 5 levels of each other.

Quote:True, but according to the comics Superspeedsters don't have to worry about relativity unless the plot calls for it - which probably explains why everyone the Flash ever knew wasn't dead by the end of his first issue - so I'm not sure they can always be trustedNot according to superhero comics. Superspeedsters have no problem hitting, but have a hard time being hit.
That said, I don't see this suggestion happening. If you want it, my suggestion is to build for positional defenses. -
Quote:If you've slotted your shields sensibly then T4 Nerve will add about another 3% to your existing defence figures. Softcap for non-incarnate content is 45%, for Incarnate content it's 59%.What is the soft cap for defense on tankers?
I am not a numbers guy in this game, but if I am not at the soft cap (which I am not without EA, I can see that, but I don't check in game when I have that def added), I understand that every percentage point counts in a huge way. So maybe for me that extra defense would be good. -
Quote:It does the same to me and I'm running at 1600x1200 and a 90% window scaleOh God, yes. That annoyed me at first. Thankfully after a while my brain just started ignoring those messages, it's like I see through it.
Another fun I20 thing : the devs designed the whole thing for resolutions so large that if you play on 1280x800, most of the Blue Box Exposition will show up behind targeting windows or health bars. It actually took me a few weeks to notice Prometheus was talking to us during the trials. -
It does feel a little "backseat gaming" sometimes; like there's someone standing over your shoulder shouting: "Click that! Go there! Turn on that toggle! Use that power! No, not that one, the other one! Are you even listening to me?!".

Very glad to hear you got it all sorted out; place wouldn't be the same without you

The Police Academy films - or at least I did until a bunch of us marathoned all 7 in one day and now I can't watch any of them any more

Quote:But there are still stupid DEF counters ingame like DE Quartz, stacked caltrops and AVs with attacks designed to near one-shot RES-capped powersets. Almost every enemy group has DEF debuffs; fighting Family last night each hit from a Tommy Gun was doing a 10% DEF debuff, that's half of all my defence at Lv23 and almost a quarter if I was softcapped and I've lost count of the number of times my Ice Tank has been "one-shotted" on iTrials. DDR aside, DEF still gets it in the knackers a lot more frequently than RES does, irrespective of IO set bonuses.A little off topic but not much, the reason behind the huge amount of defense debuffs vs resistance debuffs is because of how easy it is to get more defense. Either through IOs, power pools, team buffs, whatever, it's very very easy to get and stack and become godlike.
This of course also dips it's toe into why there's so much +defense but next to no +resistance in IO bonuses, if there was just as much +resistance there'd have to be an ingame counter to make up for it, unresistable -resistance, higher damage etc. Even if they don't (supposedly) take IOs into consideration when testing new content, it'd be silly not to consider it for balance.
It's easier to balance defense from all it's counters (higher base tohit, +accuracy/tohit powers, -def attacks) which have little effect to other forms of protection. To balance resistance in much the same way it'd require things which would have a greater effect against other protection types, or just characters in general (higher damage, unresistable damage, stacking and/or unresistable -resistance). -
You do know that high CPU/Memory usage isn't inherently a bad thing, assuming that it's not sitting at 100% all the time? What's bad is CPU/memory contention, where you haven't got enough resources to go around.
My CPU sits at around 90% while playing CoH, but that's not an issue unless I suddenly decide I'd like to encode some video at the same time. Having some overhead is always nice, but trying to get your CPU/Memory usage down to some arbitrary value isn't going to achieve anything. -
The recharge cap is effectively per-power, same as any other attribute. Any given power cannot recharge any faster than +400% of its base in the same way that you can't enhance damage of a power beyond +400% (For Blasters/Scrappers/Corrupters/Stalkers) irrespective of where those buffs are coming from (Criticals excepted).

Quote:It could do though, if -RES was affected by your current, rather than base resistance because it would mean that every -RES that hit you would debuff your resistance by an ever-increasing amount to the point that it would be decreasing almost exponentially.Losing resistance does not increase your chance of losing more resistance. It is impossible to have a cascading resist failure by definition.
Though it would require there to be more than about 4 mobs in the game that did -RES -
Dark Extraction. Always satisfying to watch.
My favourite target is Adamastor as he's (afaik) the largest mob in the game with a corpse that has a "rez" animation. -
Quote:True, but due to poor planning and/or poor luck, I always find that I'm dead with a tray full of blues & break frees on my tankGlad to see you've figured out what they are for.
I can't even tell you how many times I've tried to pass a Wakie to a dead teammate only to get the message "Cannot give to X, not enough room in inventory."
I just want to tell them that if they had actually USED some of those inspirations sitting in their tray, they might not be dead.
Really should setup some binds for Insp conversion. -

Much more useful comparison chart: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windows...mparison_chart - 64-bit is the only sensible choice these days unless there's a very good reason you need to stick with 32-bit. Professional is good enough for most people.
The Inet Taurus one looks pretty good - similar to the bits I'm about to buy myself actually, though not being able to read Swedish does make it a bit trickier to comment on the upgradability
Watercooling & Blueray burner are overkill unless you really want them; SLI can be good, but a lot of games either don't support it (Like CoH) or don't implement it very well meaning that you're usually better off with a more powerful single card.
As for monitors, 99% of gaming graphics cards have dual outputs so that's not a problem, but you probably won't want to run them as a single display because very few things will support that kind of horizontal resolution (plus it looks really weird having stuff stretched across two 16:9 or 16:10 monitors like that), I always find it better to run them as two connected displays so that applications behave properly and don't sit across the join all the time.
On a tangent, I wish Komplett still operated a UK shop, they were far and away the best place to buy parts from
