You know that group of supervillains and superheroes that you can only fight during safeguards and mayhems? I'd give them their own group of flunkies, maybe flesh out Hero Corps for the superheroes and plug them into radios and newspaper missions. Probably re-skin Longbow, Council and Sky Raiders, for both villain flunkies and new Hero Corps for the minion level guys. Could even repurpose/re-color some of those PPD hardsuits and big bots to add a little more flavor.
Also, make a bunch more supervillains and superheroes to fill out their ranks a bit more too. Could re-skin and re-name a bunch of Longbow and Paragon Protector Bosses for this one. The Lts. for their flunkies could be costumed/spandexed guys in their own right. Just add a little more hero/villain/comic book flair, so that we're not always fighting militants/cultists/demons.
-------
Beef up the Outcasts, so that we see them into the 30s and 40s, with the later tier of them doing the full-on tights-wearing villain route. Yeah, I know, Marvel's done the Mutant thing. So, just make the Outcasts fully mired in their crime sprees, and veer away from any Mutant rights/supremacy fiddle faddle. Throw some Supatrolls into the mix as Lts and Bosses too, to mix up their look a bit.
It's a comic book MMO, let's add a little more tights to the game. -
Quote:If it's just a loss of inf, I see no real net loss, in that, it's not that hard to make a useful amount of inf in a short period of time. Granted, if you're talking about useful in buying purple drops sorts of inf levels, I can see why you'd want to hold off.Wait until you know what limitations are going to be imposed on side-switching before you roll a character. Would kinda suck if you, say, lost all your inf or enhancements when switching sides. Me, I don't plan on switching sides except for certain accolades (depending on how all that works) so I'll probably just keep chugging away at what I've got.
As for loss of enhancements? If I have even one character over 35 on the same server as the newly side-switched character, I can probably re-outfit the newly side switched character, with basic IOs, in relatively short order.
Which, given the servers I play on, I should have at least one character that can help with re-outfitting my newly side-switched characters with materials and inf in short measure if so needed.
So, if I were the OP, I'd just go ahead and roll a brute and just play. Unless, you absolutely have to have be a hero at start, then I'd wait. Heck, you could even just pretend to be a hero working in the Rogue Isles, and handwave away the crimes you commit as rescues and recoveries, etc. -
No, we need a dinosaurs and gorillamen zone first. Or gorillas and dinosaurmen.

A picture of the Oscillation Overthruster is on this page.

A shot from another side.

Also, this page might help you find pictures of it, as it's shown up more than a few times in both Next Generation and DS9.

I'm sure you've heard the question plenty of times, but I don't recall if I saw it in this thread.
War Witch being in-game is cool and all, but will we be seeing Apex or Horus in-game at some point? -
Quote:And a BFG. Because, every depowered hero should be able to get their hands on a big freakin' gun in an enemy base. I can see it now: Temp power: PPD assault suit gun hand or Arachnos mace, or Council sonic rifle/rocket launcher or Ascendant shield.Shoving aside the concept albatross for a moment, I can see this becoming REALLY entertaining, but only if the temp powers gained were suitably epic. Forget baseball bats, breaking out of an Arachnos base by reprogramming a horde of arachnobots and drones to fight for you MM-style would be awesome! That's just one idea, but it could also be applied to PPD/Nemesis/etc.

Quote:ccevillaugh is pretty good for a Firestar-esque emote. Though, I guess unless you want to waste Ice Armor's Hibernate, that's probably not going to cut it. Spiderman & His Amazing Friends inspired CC Emote (e.g. Firestar and Iceman)
Hmmm, I'd just like to see more parts.
-Maybe Vampyri-sized/shaped monstrous hands. Speaking of which, I'd like the Warwolf heads too.
-A good looking ragged top, though, that's not really mutant.
-Definitely, some more animal themed heads.
-It'd be nice to have a bird type head or three to go with wings. Maybe a nice set of talons to go with
-A Bull head would be pretty sweet. Heck, there's already a really good Minotaur head in-game.
-After seeing Ninja run, I really would like to see some sort of Beast run. But, I can understand if we don't see it, seeing as BaB and co. were probably going crazy with Ninja Run on top of Dual Pistols as well as Demon summoning already. -
I usually have a series of ideas for who my characters are. But, I usually don't write up the bio in-game. Some because they have secrets, others sheer laziness, but usually there's more than a little bit of thought that went into whatever character I'm playing.
Just because I haven't put it in the bio in-game doesn't mean it's not a fully fleshed out character, just that there's almost always something better to do than fill in the bio section. -
Have you considered the Presence pool at all?
Granted, if you're playing a Stalker, the taunts aren't much use for you, but the two Fears would be pretty indispensible. And would play up the mind control/hypnosis aspect of vampires. -

Quote:Community Digest is your friend.I was able to find 2 different letters, and maybe finding them is part of the fun, but how many original people were on the Omega team? Im curious how many of these I will have to look for to get the full effect.
Cheers

Fun/interesting reads, but seems a bit random how they're being tossed to different threads on different sub heading boards.

Did anybody poke around Galaxy to see if it was spawning the right level of presents? Last year, it was spawning level 6-10, as opposed to level 1-5 snowmen.

Quote:Did you leave ninja run on with the Willpower character? Or is it always using default, even without ninja run on?Weird. I put Ninja Run on a character as soon as I logged on, and now I'm using the default animations for Super Strength instead of the alternate animations. I double checked at the Pocket D tailor, too.
edit: Hrm... maybe not. My other Shield and Willpower character is using the defaults too, even though they're set otherwise... meep.
Nadir Oriri on Freedom.
Ultimas Sovereign on Virtue.
Shield out with Martial Arts is doing something like this too. With the shield out(defenses on), customized punches revert to default Martial Arts attacks. -
Match Compensators that are already in-game look really cool, maybe we could get those minus the laser sight? Maybe add the ability to add some color to them?
Hmm, Judge Dredd's Lawgiver. Granted, it's probably a copyrighted design.

Oh cool, more cool photoshop costume mockups! Great stuff man. Has anybody asked if you've liked seeing some of your patterns and chest detail items turn up in-game?

Quote:Yeah, I took to just darting off on my kin/elec defender whenever I saw a boss and lt spawn. Thank God for Siphon Speed, when it actually hits, grumble...True. It seems that even characters whose difficulty is set not to spawn bosses can still pull bosses in the Trick. What really bites is that the bosses are not always by themselves when they spawn. My Stalker is still in traction because of that stupid Vampire Lord and his Werewolf Lt.
My blaster seemed to have less issues with bosses than I expected. I guess that means it's time to up my difficulty a bit for missions. -
Threads like this remind me why I'm glad that I don't care about badges. Much as I grow attached to the character that I make, I'm more than willing to do a re-roll if something more appropriate to what I really wanted or realize would make more sense for the character comes along.
Seriously, I've re-rolled one character at least 4 times, inv/ss tank(got to 32) to ma/regen(to 28ish) scrapper to ma/wp scrapper(at 44 now), both scrappers also have both attacks from the fighting pool as I didn't want to be all fancy kick guy with martial arts. Also, while it's not technically a re-roll, as I'm still operating on both sides with the character, I also have an ss/wp brute(currently 32) version that's going to replace the ma/wp scrapper when the time comes.
So, that means I've played him for 136 levels. -
Quote:Yeah, just wanted to add in that my character is at normal settings(+0 x0) and finding boss and 2 minion spawns as well as 2 Lt spawns and just plain Boss spawns as well.Bugs & Feedback
[*]Personal Settings (-1 so i could, you know, survive more then one yellow spawning on my crappy low level defender) are doing nothing for ToT spawns. I'm still getting multiple yellows and higher when solo.
On ToT.
I can see on my low damage/high squishy/low level characters I'll be doing a lot of running away or ToTing near police drones in order to speed up my ability to hit doors and get treats as I can't control the size/level of the spawns that will jump out with the new level system. Trying to kill an orange and a yellow on a L12 character sucks if you're not a scrapper.
Is this working as intended?
Gah, just ran across a boss and an Lt spawn from the same door. Yikes. Crone(boss) and Werewolf(lt). Yikes! Very overpowering on my lvl 38 blaster. -
There is already a 'chance for smashing damage' proc for Knockback. Which, thanks to the general dislike of knockback means that it's usually pretty cheap heroside.
