  1. I'd recommend starting with Zloth's ++ Common Solutions & Posting Guidelines ++ thread that is stickied in this forum.

Secondly, post a log from running CoH Helper as it will give information about your system and the CoH installation and settings. It's much easier to find the information we need than the wall of text that DXDiag gives.

And since you are running an ATI card, configure your CCC and ingame video settings by the first post in Bill Z Bubba's stickied ATI Issues and Settings Recommendations thread.
  2. No problems for me on Justice, and that's even with me running two computers and two accounts on one lousy internet connection.

The only times I've had any problems were due to power flickers on my electric lines. Oddly, my older computer with my second account is the one that stayed up and online while my new computer lost power every time it flickered.
  3. She better be on my menu.

    Uh.

    Er.

She better be joining us for dinner.

Actually, it is a PERFECT example. Look again at the part of my post you quoted. Most Arbiters are named Arbiter (Surname). Kim Jong Il has a surname of Kim (which you correctly stated). So given those two piece of information, were he an Arbiter he would be Arbiter Kim. How is that not a good example?

I'm also going to ignore the fact that those were two separate pieces of a post. Separated by line breaks to indicate that they were not part of the same thought process.

Thirdly, post a log from running HijackThis. This will show what else is going on on your computer while you are playing CoH.

Yes, they have some great looking "other" waffles, as well as pancakes, omelette souffles, and much more. I'll link the PDF of the Menu here.

For those that just want to check out the website, it is Holder's Country Inn and that link also gives the street address to plug into your GPS.

Looking at their site, I just may have to make a late night run by there if I get the munchies. Unless I find a suitable replacement possibility.

I never forget Leslie Nielsen, but as far as I know I am not related to him. I am related to the 5 people I mentioned in my post. Were I to start listing all the Leslie's I know, or know of, it would make a rather long post.

    Anyone else?
Most of the time that I see consistent problems with a Dell computer, it's because of one simple thing. The people bought the cheapest piece of crap computer that Dell makes and expected server stability and performance from it.

Then again, I get the same thing from people that bought the same type of system from HP, Gateway, IBM/Lenovo, Toshiba, etc.

My Dell laptop bought in late 2002 still runs the game fairly decently for such an old machine, but when I bought it I topped out the CPU, video card, HD, and screen (for what they had at the time). I've since topped out the memory and replaced the HD (simply to get a bigger drive and dual-boot for gaming and work systems).

Basically, if you do go Dell, or HP, or Toshiba, or anything else, research the parts, customize the systems to best suit YOUR needs/desires as much as you can but don't buy into the over-priced name hype (I won't mention any names) when you can get a similar system (or even the same system parts-wise) elsewhere for less.

Have you never heard of Kim Jong Il? There are even websites devoted to Guys Named Kim. Possibly some light reading on the name Kim would be of help? You will find several men named Kim.

Not to mention the Rudyard Kipling novel Kim. Kim is generally considered to be Kipling's best serious long novel.

To add another example of names shared by both genders, my paternal grandfather, my dad, my oldest sister and her youngest daughter all share the same first name of Leslie. My niece is the only one that is referred to as Leslie, the other three all were referred to by their middle names. One of my dad's cousins named her youngest son Leslie, which is what he was always called.

Variations of Bobby/Bobbie, Johnny/Johnnie/Jonnie/Jonny, and many others as well have been around for a long time.
  13. Well, I'm not sure why I was left off the list, especially since I've made it more than clear in other threads that I'm going to Holder's Country Inn for Bacon Waffles on Saturday morning.

I don't know how soon they will spot this, but I know that Ronnoc and Bacon Lord Bob had mentioned a slight interest in the Bacon Waffles. *cough* It would likely be a safe bet to add them to the list as well.
  14. Well, if weight loss was something I had to worry about, I'd be avoiding you like the plague.

And maple syrup heated properly is WONDERFUL on pancakes or waffles. Especially waffles since you have all the little pockets to catch the syrup in. It tends to run off the pancakes a bit faster since the heat seems to thin it up slightly.

They shouldn't be anywhere near a level 30-35 Task Force!
I believe the Elites start spawning in the level 35 range missions. Specifically, the Revenant Hero Project story arc. I ran that arc a few times in 2004 and possibly early 2005 with full teams or almost full teams to get the Defeat badge for the Crey Protectors. We regularly spawned Elites, but we mowed them down with little effort.

Of course, that was back when I teamed on a fairly regular basis. So yeah, it's been a while. I also recall soloing in the old RCS and running across PP Elites on rooftops that were in the mid 30's.

So no, they aren't a level 40-54 only mob. Unless something has changed since the RCS went away.
  16. Did you remember to have them leave off the powdered sugar this time?

Oh yes, and if you are in the group photo on the About Us page for Paragon Studios website, please send a PM to Zombie Man so that he can label you properly on his Paragon Studios Devs photo.
  18. Welcome to the madhouse Arbiter Kim.
  19. After you update your drivers, I would strongly recommend updating Windows to Service Pack 3 as well. If for some reason you are vehemently opposed to updating to SP3, at least run all of the Security and Critical Updates from Windows Updates.

After that, I'd recommend setting your CCC and in-game video settings to those in the first post of Bill Z Bubba's stickied ATI Issues and Settings Recommendations thread found here in the Technical Issues & Bugs section of the forums.

Just at a quick glance at your in-game settings, I'd recommend the following:

    Disable Vertical Sync
    Set Maximum Particles to 25050
    Disable Anisotropic Filtering
Set Water Effect to either Off or Low
    Disable Bloom
    Disable Depth of Field

Those are just adjustments of the in-game settings that I see at a quick glance. Bill's thread covers the WHY as well, and also has the CCC settings you should use.

Once you have it running stable, tweak one setting at a time, keeping in mind the problems notated in Bill's thread.
  20. Well, I believe that we are still planning on going to Holder's Country Inn for Bacon Waffles on Saturday Morning.

It will be really nice to have Bacon Waffles in the presence of Bacon Lord Bob.

I've only noticed this since I16 went live.
This seems to also happen in Banks during Safeguard missions. It may happen in other locations during Safeguards and may happen in Mayhems as well, but I haven't had a chance to test those.

Basically, I headed straight to the Bank once I entered the mission, and before being able to defeat 2 of the enemies in the lobby, the named Villainess and the mobs that spawned with her were coming through the lobby headed to the exit. This would have given them approximately enough time to spawn at the vault, run through the map and get to where I was (about 25 feet inside the door).

Even being on a TA/Arch Defender I should have gotten further into the mission before they came running at me.

Also, I've asked if the meatballs could be served on the side to accomodate anyone with vegetarian sensibilites. The up-side to this is you won't have to try to carve up the ginormous mega-meatballs on the spaghetti & risk spaghetti sploosh! You might just get sauce sploosh if the meatballs are served in/covered with sauce.
Well, that should help Brax. We all know from last year that things did not like staying on his plate.

  25. Gratz Karo.

    One question though.

Does this mean I'm losing my driver?
