I have found 90% of the time that I just missed out on being on TEAM STUPID that doesnt work together a a team, dies a lot and is looking for buffs to overcome their stupidity.. As I always say.. you cant heal stupid...

I got on a team once that said they were looking for a defender.. So I joined with my Rad/Rad.. I get YAY DEFENDER.. ok no more dying ( that was a bad sign right there)

they were fighting some +3's so Im laying down the debuffs on the mobs and attacking..and we are starting to plow through them... but we are taking some damage ( although no had died since i joined the team )and the team leader screams at me..

STOP ATTACKING JUST HEAL... I said well I have a lot of debuffs and... again the team STOP ATTACKING JUST HEAL...

So I stopped attacking... and just threw out my very small AoE Heal...

and the team died... everyone said wait what happened.. we were doing good..

I said.. Oh well that was my fault..

See I had Radiation Infection which is a 50% defense debuff and a 48% to hit debuff.. but I shut that off so I could just heal like the leader said.

Then I had Enervating Field running which brought their reistance down 30% and brought their damage down 25% but I shut that off so I could heal..

Oh yeah and then I was using Lingering Radiation cut their regen 500% and theire recharge rate 25% but i stopped doing that so I could heal...

And I stopped using Irradiate which is another 50% defense debuff in an area and Neutron Bomb which is another 25% defense debuff in an area bcause I was told STOP ATTACKING JUST HEAL...

OH and I stopped dropping Accelerate Metabolism which was buffing your damage 30% and yor recharge 25% well because its not a heal and I was told JUST HEAL...

So wait classic here.. someone asks for the star so they can invite a friend.. and the leader was kicked LOL !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    Cool story bro.

I don't really believe it happened. But wouldn't it be just ideal if it did?

I agree with the message/lesson of the story though.

  3. I have 2 sets of Every purple set sitting in storage and about 5 Billion Liquid (had more but just bought up everything needed for a AR/Dark/Dark Concept I just came up with).

    I can make Billion(S) a week.

Yeah I am well aware I am wasting my money buying crafted IOs.
But its PLAY MONEY. When the game servers shut down, I don't get to keep it.

Fire Rain of Arrows on all the dummies still only one dummy gets the effect.

Ionic Judgment, If I target the dummy that has the effect from world of confusion, only that dummy gets the effect from Ionic Judgement. Targeting a different dummy only that dummy gets it.

And that is about it for me, I'll leave the rest to people that can test in less than 90 seconds per test and can look under the hood while its happening.
    That is extremely disturbing.

If this is the case this patch should NOT go live tuesday.
I will test tonight when I get home from work.

  10. So you guys are basically TURNING OFF INTERFACE IN AoEs until you can FIGURE OUT HOW TO FIX IT.

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE FOR YOU TO TURN THEM BACK ON (at the regular proc rate)?

Currently running similar times with Earth (volcanic Gasses) Thorns (x3 Throntrops) Ice (sleet and Ice storm).
  12. I really think Ice is a really weak set.

I was playing a Ice/thorns up to 36, finally packed it in and then rolled a Earth/Thorns in practially half the time.
  13. I really want to believe that.

Lets hope your baseless claims come true!

As soon as I read that I finished a Earth [VOLCANIC GASSESx1] / Thorns [THORNTRPS X2.5] / Ice [ICE STORMx1 SLEETx1] dom. Fully purpled, Permahasted, SL softcapped Beast.

Its pretty crazy the damage this toon does aoe.

That is still in the game?

Is it more shameful I don't look at the MM forums that often or that the devs have left that discrepancy in the game that long?
  17. The days of the proc-aggedon bomb are over.

IF you have the slots left over from more important things (depends on your attack set, pools and Patron/Ancillary picks) definately throw procs into PGT.

I do 100% suggest you put the Lockdown 20% +2 Hold proc in there though.
Its quite lovely in combo with the (can't remmeber the set name) ranged damage 20% Chance for +2 hold in acid mortar.

Whoops I made a plant thorns, but i think I pasted the mind thorns from the other thread.

    Will post the plant/thorns tonight.

The redraw really isn't that great I agree, but the fact that you can fill this set with Damage procs (and make wonderful use of reactive on Thorntrops) really shines in this set.

No other dominator secondary makes use of interface like thorns.

My fortunata is...amazing, I wouldn't trade it for anything, I'll all ranged psi attacks, never had an issue.

the good thing also, AVs never resist Psionic damage.

and the enemies that do resist it, I don't notice.

yes, you have to be heavily IO'd out to be like...a god, but the build I found has cheaper alternatives to the heavier sets.

    I'm rambling DD

anyways, with patron powers you can easily get over the fact that some enemies resist psi, and the new incarnate abilities aren't too bad either.
    Not really true.

Widow> melee Fort> Ranged fort in Single Target DPS.
  22. Chaos, Impale really sucks. Thorn Barrage is far far better.

You also give up the goodness -def sets get with damage procs.
You can fit at least 3 procs in EACH attack, with a -def attack set, and its wonderful.

When I get home tonight, I will transform my Earth/Thorns/Mace build into a Plant/Thorns/ice build and post it. Should still have perma hasten/Softcap while getting in some multiproc Attacks.

Thorny Darts is actually pretty good, and WONDERFUL for damage procs.

Apoc Proc, Achilles Proc, Lady Gray proc, Shield Breaker Proc, Acc/Dam HO, Apoc Damage-- Makes this attack into a beast at 3 seconds base recharge.

Fling Thorns is also too good for damage procs to fill with sets:

Achillies proc, lady Gray Proc, Shield Breaker proc, Acc/Dam HO Ragnarok Damage-- Is just nasty on an attack you can spam like a machine gun.

This is just personal, but Aim is only really useful on blasters, I would skip it and get thorn trops in asap. People really discount trops and I don't understand why.

Dominator Impale really blows. For its activation time, the damage it does is just not good... I don't know anyone who takes it, and doesn't end up dropping it. You also slot it with Immob sets? Is this a PVP build? Why not take slots out of this, and finish Thorn barrage?

  24. I rolled a Elec/Earth/Mace (I LURVE PFF), and it wrecks face.

Its is honestly one of the easiest playing doms I have ever had the chance to play.

The elec with the drains, Powerboosted Aid Self, and deep SLE softcap make using the strong melee dps of earth a breeze to use. I dunno why people harp on Tremor and Fissure, but these AOEs are good enough and get the job done.

It is my Secondary Incarnate on Virtue After my Huntsman.
  25. Cat Blast/Kitten Miasma Defenders.
