I really wish I could replace my loading screens with something this epic or, y'know, the DEFAULT was something less suck! -_-
  2. I hate that picture.

Sorry Art team, but it's really not the finest piece of work you've ever come up with. I *loved* the GR Loader page. Id had dynamic, epic poses, it had the grandiose and still threatening look from Tyrant looming in the background...it worked. It worked MORE than great.

    And it worked a hell of a lot more than the current one;
    -Statesman's body looks twisted
    -His face looks bad
-Why is he punching left handed?
-Why is the WARWORKS punching? At all? Those things are RANGED robots!

I can deal with Praetoria craze (Did I mention how much I loved the GR splash screen?)
I CAN'T deal with lack of epic.

And I still can't change it back to what I wanted it as
  3. Yeah, I plan to avoid Grave's arcs, because I was NOT impressed with what I saw in Beta. The utter, blatant and badly done rail-roading was atrocious.

And yeah, it's ok to give NPCs the Incarnate armour at low levels, Posi, but heaven FORBID that Players who have got to level 50 and got the damn thing can use it on new alts, nooooo. Apparently we're not UBER enough for that!

    Bull-[HONK!]

Graves one of the few Bad bits in I21. End of.

    ^ Agreed

I really hope some of the old junky content gets revamped somewhere down the line to make the mechanics catch up with the lore.

Crey should be used as allies in lower level missions, have contacts even. Heck, use the phasing tech in a later mission to have you go back and ARREST your old Crey contact (or beat them to a pulp if you have Vigilante leanings)

Hells, make Crey con neutral on the streets. That would add much more immersion AND be lore accurate too.
  5. Remove Dual Origin, make TO's as effective as DOs and continue them to DO levels.

That way you have enhancements that anyone can use that do decent-ish numbers until SO level. And then you specialise in your origin-specific stuff, in fluff/story regards.

    Makes sense to me.

    ^ This, /Signed

The old method 'worked', as in wasn't totally broken' seven years ago.

Now it's just a hassle that gets in the way of actually having fun.

This was before it was even released.

    I'm STILL waiting!

I hate the look of Hasten and Super-Speed but they are damn near ubiquitous, especially for me. I know builds can be made with Hasten but it's a bloody useful power that lots of people use, so why not sort it out??

Glad to see people are also wanting these things changing over. What's the point of having one of the games greatest features, the awesome costume creator, spoilt by the power pools?

    ^ This

Sadly, this is something that certain members of the Dev team seem to have a major problem getting their heads around.

'New and shiny' is only so much good as the 'Core Game' aspects that it's being bolted onto.

For instance; First Ward is bloody awesome. It is, hands down I would say, they best zone in game. It is beautiful. It has TONS of content, all of it made from purest Epic Win.

    That is new and shiny.
And then you have Kings Row and Perez Park.

Old, grotty zones with bad graphics and, worst of all? Sod all content. Perez has NOTHING except street sweeping and door mission from other contacts. Kings is more used for paper missions than for any of the 'story' contacts it has, all of which are old, outdated and, invariable, shite. I'm sorry, they are. Seven year old writing, contact outfits and mechanics.

Bolting new shiny, no matter HOW good it is, onto a chassis that is not only visibly rusting but seems to shove it in your face if you're not careful, is like putting a hue body-kit and pimped exhaust on a seven year old hatch-back car that grinds gears and can't reach more than 50 mph. It's bloody STUPID.

    Guilty areas;

-Old zones and missions. Zones can be ok in some cases (Dark Astoria is still awesome) but the lack of content is contemptable.

-Power Customisation. Half finished, then abandoned. So the hell what if it requires work? So does everything! And given the importance of Pool and Epic powers I would have thought this should have been a much higher priority.

-AE. Dear god, how long is it going to be before that damn censor gets fixed so it doesn't break arcs with nothing worse than 'death' in it's text? When are EATs going to be added? When is more functionality going to be added? Why the hell do you THINK only farmers seem to use it? Because It's. Not. FINISHED.

-Bases. lolwut bases? I...Yeah, I don't even need to cover this. Seriously.

Revamp > New Shinies. Revamps and fixes and finishing things makes the entire game look good, it removes parts that can discourage new players and tick of veterans, and brings everything up to the +7 year mark that the newer stuff is. New shiny just makes it painfully obvious how badly made some of the first stuff was.
  10. The only problem I have is you can't colour customise it.

Even then, it'd still never replace other powers for me. None of my characters would use a hoverboard, simply put.

    New Brawl Sounds

I hate the new sound. I wish we at least had a sound FX CHOICE. But nope, it just gets lamped onto everyone. I'll definitely be taking any 3rd party workaround to changing it back to something I like
  12. There was a grisly crunch, the Longbow rifleman's body hitting the floor a moment later.

Gunnery Sergeant Doc motioned the rest of the Bane Spider strike-team onward, the ten-strong group using their cloaking fields to get the drop on Longbow's forces.
He paused, looking round as he heard the sound again, raising a fist to stop the squads movement.

A hand, wreathed in flame, punched upward through a fallen slab with a yell of part-desperation and part pure frustration. Doc watched as what looked like a Hellion literally tore his way out of the rubble, smirking behind his helm as the young man tore off his shattered mask and looked around with hellfire and vengeance still in his eyes.

    "Yo, kid."
The youth turned, taking in the ten-man squad perched on rubble and stood with maces shouldered.
"Want to roll with the winning side f'ra change?"

Wiping a bloody streak from his mouth and nose, the young man grinned.
"Sign me up, spider. Just gimme something to torch and a way outta this dump."

The kid followed them for a while, before being directed down a ruined alley to one of the drop-zones. With a click and a grin, Doc added another to the tally, the ever-rising number of those that would soon be calling the Rogue Isles their home...
  13. My Minotaur is incredibly happy with the AWESOME shoulder plates and belt-chest details.

And oh-gods the sword. I. Love. That. Sword. I want to do a Vego Mortensen and walk around with it everwhere, it's that damn good.
    And the best part?
The best part is it's damn big...and DOESN'T scale down to piddly size for Females. It still looks like something a fighter would pull out and makes their opponent promptly start checking their life insurance is up to date.

And they did add sensible female boots, too.
I love it. I love the Celestial pack (I regret NOTHING!) I love the IDF armour and all the other new stuff.

I agree with Sam and Aura pretty much
  14. Beam Rifle
    Hoverboard
    Barbarian set
    +20 Enhancement slots
    +5 costume slots

Yeah. I dropped a bomb on day one but it was oh so worth it. I still glitch out at having 6 costume slots on a level 1 char. What was once a dream is now a reality
  15. Actually, Rocket Board activates at level 2.

Which, given it's the same as Walk except flying, works just fine IMO.
And finally, an honest to god backpack! XD
  16. So much win.
Music fitted. Camera was smooth an' slick. It was perfect.

  18. The roar of propulsion discs, rising even above the crackle of flames and the sound of falling rubble. The rhythmic, dirge like crash of armoured boots on charred concrete. The sound of safeties being flicked off, the hum of energy weapons, the steady crackle of arcane lightning.

Through the fire and the smoke the black fliers came. Through the chaos and the pain came the red and black battalion. Through the ruined streets came the forces of Arachnos.

"This is our battleground. This is our prize. This is where the weak die and the strong survive."

The voice echoed above the din, as rank after rank of armoured and power armoured troops marched past before splitting into units and strike forces.

"This is our recruiting ground. This is our killing field. Purge the weak. Bind the strong. Forge our new order and begin our conquest."

Rising Shivans were brought down with sustained blasts of red lightning and heavy firepower. Resistance from Longbow forces or any Hero who tried to get in their way was met with scything curtains of machine gun fire, longfang guns and pulverising mace blows.

"Take what is rightfully ours. Suffer not weakness or fools or challengers."

Stood atop a giant, angled shard of ruined building, flanked by officers and elite troops, Webmaster Commander Marian King, punched a bladed gauntlet into the sky.

"Krimzon Guard! Arachnos! Let our conquest begin! Hail Recluse!"

    ^ This, agreed 100%

Doesn't mean I'll agree with all the decisions, though
Ascension armour locking is still stupid! As is gating the Celestial stuff! Boo!
